If you’re like me, nearly every single social media post in your feed over the last week has been about the senseless assassination of Charlie Kirk. And emotions are running high.

From those who loved him. From those who hated him. From those who didn’t really follow him but are lamenting the state of discourse in our country.

The emotions you’re feeling as a result of this and any other type of atrocity are wasted if you drink them away.

I came across one post in particular in which an emotional person suggested a way to cope with everything that’s happened. And I found myself yelling out, “No! Don’t! That’s the last thing you should do. And I don’t think Charlie would want you to, either.”

What is it?

Have a drink. “Pour one out” for Charlie, the colloquial term for having a drink for a fallen friend.

Maybe you’ve seen those posts. We live in a culture that uses anything as an excuse to imbibe. To drink. To get drunk. But especially culture loves to capitalize on tragedy. It tells us that drinking alcohol is not just a way to handle difficult emotions, but the best way to handle difficult emotions, tragedy, and grief.

Your candidate loses an election? Drink.

Work sucks? Drink.

A family member passes away? Drink.

Your team loses? Drink.

The kids are a little feral? Mommy, drink a lot!

So when someone so respected, who spoke on behalf of a generation, is brutally murdered in broad daylight, culture wants you to drink that atrocity away instead of sitting with those painful, confusing, and whatever-else emotions.

In fact, even though drinking is at an all-time low, we’ve still been programmed to think that drinking to deal with our uncomfortable feelings is right, good, and necessary. At minimum it’s accepted.

Trust me, I know.

Hitting rock bottom

I’m the best-selling Christian author who became an alcoholic (not the other way around) after hitting the toughest stretch of my life a few years ago. I knew what I should do to best handle all the emotions in that season, but instead, I took the easy path: I drank all the uncomfortable feelings away.

It wasn’t until I found myself a year and a half into a bottle with no bottom and a “night in” that ended with me drunk, alone, and wading in my own excrement at 1 a.m. in Miami’s South Beach that I asked, “What has my life become?”

I’m not saying that having a drink in the wake of Charlie’s murder means you will become an alcoholic. But if I’m being honest, I never thought I’d get to the point I did either. “I don’t look like those people who drink their lives away,” I told myself. And I didn’t. But rock bottom still came.

And I wish someone had told me sooner that drinking away my challenging emotions can easily turn into something I thought it never would — because it can turn you into someone you thought you’d never be.

Charlie didn’t drink

I think Charlie understood that, too.

“The top-performing people I’ve ever been around, they are very against alcohol, against substances,” he said on his show in May in a video titled, “Why I Don’t Drink.”

“And they’ll tell you they perform better, they think clearer, they have better memory, better recall, more energy, more pace.”

“I also find that some of the people that drink the most, they’re hiding something, they’re masking something,” he concluded.

Let pain fuel your purpose

If Charlie Kirk’s murder has affected you, don’t mask this pain. I beg you, please don’t. Because it can end up doing things to you that are way worse in the long run.

In the end, the emotions you’re feeling as a result of this and any other type of atrocity are wasted if you drink them away. They just are. Instead, I want to suggest that you use them to motivate you — to boldness, to action, to something better. Don’t numb them; name them. And then use them as fuel. Do good as a result of this evil.

In fact, Charlie knew there wasn’t just a better option but a best option when it comes to what to do with complex emotions, an option that has transformed my life: Bring those emotions to the great healer, Jesus. While I didn’t know Charlie personally, I think, from everything I’ve read and seen, that’s what he would have wanted.

But whatever you do, I know this: He wouldn’t have wanted you to “pour one out” for him.

Or maybe, I guess, that’s exactly what he would have wanted. Pour it out. Leave it alone. Put it down.

He did.

A study carried out by the Henry Ford Health System between 2000 and 2006 looked at the medical records of over 18,000 kids — 16,000 of whom were vaccinated — and what they found was not what the pharmaceutical companies wanted to hear.

“The study began by explaining it set out to reduce vaccine hesitancy by assuring parents the CDC vaccine schedule is safe. Instead, what these researchers found was that vaccinated children had 4.29 times the rate of asthma, 3.03 times the rate of autoimmune disease, and 5.53 times the rate of neurodevelopmental disorders, which included 3.28 times the rate of developmental delay and 4.47 times the rate of speech disorder,” managing partner of Siri & Glimstad LLP, Aaron Siri explained in a hearing.

“All of these findings were statistically significant. These findings were troubling, including because these chronic health issues can be caused by immune system dysregulation, and vaccines can cause immune system dysregulation,” he continued.

“Overall, the study found that after 10 years, 17% of the unvaccinated children had a chronic health issue, while 57% of the vaccinated children had at least one chronic health issue, often multiple,” he added.

BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales is blown away by the results.

“I mean, rinse and repeat with the same leftist narrative,” Gonzales says. “They’re trying to, you know, call Aaron out. Of course, we’re all quacks, and you know, crazy conspiracy right-wing nut jobs, fill in the blank.”

The Guardian called the study a debate of “the same myths,” while the publication Stat10 called it “fundamentally flawed.”

Siri himself is well-aware that these articles are not actually attacking the information in the study.

“When it comes to vaccines, what you often get are emotional reactions from people … name calling, ad hominem. Does the substance get addressed? Not really, but that’s what it often devolves into,” Siri tells Gonzales.

“You’ll hear all the time, people say, ‘I believe in vaccines.’ And that really carries a truism,” he says, adding, “Nobody ever says, ‘I believe in cars. I believe in chairs. I believe in floorboards.’ No, but they say that because a lot of what you hear about vaccines are based on actual belief. They’re not based on the data.”

Del Bigtree, CEO of Informed Consent Action Network and the host of “The HighWire,” couldn’t agree more — and points out something quite scary about vaccines.

“It’s now becoming obvious that they’ve never done a randomized controlled placebo-based trial prior to licensure. That’s all but been conceded now. And so we never established safety, meaning, we never proved that vaccines were as safe as a saline injection, as every other pharmaceutical product would have had to,” Bigtree tells Gonzales.

“So now you’re left with products we have no idea what the safety is,” he says, adding, “and that’s what’s so interesting about this study.”

Prosecutors said a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority bus was crowded on Sept. 8, and it was difficult for riders to exit, WBZ-TV reported.

Investigators said it was around 1 p.m. when 32-year-old Luz Pineda, who was with her 3-month-old baby, wanted to get off the bus at the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard/Warren Street stop in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood, WCVB-TV reported.

Prosecutors said the woman — who has no recollection of the incident — suffered a facial cut, a ruptured blood vessel, and a concussion.

But a 63-year-old woman apparently was in the way.

Pineda allegedly asked the woman to move from the exit, but she refused, WBZ said. Prosecutors said the pair began to argue, Pineda started screaming at the woman, and then she kicked the woman’s shopping cart off the bus, WBZ noted.

Pineda allegedly then upped the ante, turning her attention to the victim herself.

Prosecutor Jacqueline Cassano said Paneda “pushed her off the bus,” WCVB reported, adding that video shows the victim being pushed off the bus and landing face-first on the sidewalk.

Prosecutors added that Pineda took off her sweatshirt and put her hair up in a bun, WBZ said, possibly to change her appearance to evade police. Pineda later was seen leaving the bus through a door with a stroller, WCVB added.

Bystanders as well as the bus driver stood over the victim before paramedics arrived to render aid 20 minutes later, WCVB reported, adding that prosecutors said the woman — who has no recollection of the incident — suffered a facial cut, a ruptured blood vessel, and a concussion.

Police said a witness recorded video of the incident and posted it on social media. Investigators were able to corroborate it with surveillance video from the bus. Pineda was allegedly identified in the video by neighbors and two anonymous individuals.

Pineda’s defense attorney said she was coming back home from an appointment at Boston Children’s Hospital with her 3-month-old, who was born prematurely. He said he hadn’t viewed the video but that the victim was preventing Pineda and her baby from exiting the bus.

Pineda also has prior charges for assault and battery on a family member and a guilty probation for trafficking cocaine, which she violated.

Pineda was arraigned Thursday on a charge of assault and battery on a person older than 60 causing injuries, WCVB reported. Pineda pleaded not guilty during the hearing in Roxbury District Court, WBZ added.

A judge set Pineda’s bail at $5,000 and said she must stay away from and have no contact with the victim or any witnesses, WBZ noted, adding that she also was ordered to stay off MBTA property, including buses and trains.

Pineda is due back in court Oct. 3 for a pretrial hearing, WBZ said.

​Physical attack, Boston, Roxbury, Victim shoved off bus, Younger female attacks older woman, Bus, Assault and battery on a person older than 60 causing injuries, Arrest, Crime 

The left and the right have been at each other’s throats in the past week attempting to pin accused assassin Tyler Robinson’s motives on the other side. However, one obscure and patently false theory has gained more traction online than expected, frustrating many on the right.

Claims have abounded that Robinson is connected to the Groypers or the Groyper Army, a group of online supporters of Nick Fuentes, a provocateur and political gadfly who positions himself to the far right of Turning Point USA and promotes an America First agenda. The main argument of this theory, explained by Forbes, for example, is that the Groypers have famously been at “war” with Charlie Kirk and mainstream conservatism, often criticizing Turning Point USA’s stances on several issues.

These claims are baseless, as even Fuentes has stated.

‘Unfortunately for them, that claim doesn’t fit any of the facts on the ground (not that they give a damn about that).’

On Saturday, Fuentes suggested his enemies were using the theory to “frame” him and his supporters: “My followers and I are currently being framed for the murder of Charlie Kirk by the mainstream media based on literally zero evidence. After the Left gunned him down, they celebrated and justified it. They said I was next. Now they are blaming me.”

Reuters published a story on September 13 that included a statement allegedly from the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace’s Rachel Kleinfeld suggesting that the symbology on the bullet casings indicates that the shooter was a part of the Groyper movement.

According to an editor’s note, the article has been corrected and no longer includes this statement, although it is unclear whether it was corrected because editors realized it was false or if it was improperly attributed to Kleinfeld. It does not appear that Reuters issued an official retraction, and those statements were subsequently repeated by other outlets. The speculation was also largely entertained on social media.

For those reading into the messages on the bullet casings, the engravings are ideologically scattered at best and politically incoherent at worst. The engravings reportedly read: “Notices bulge OwO, what’s this?”; “Hey fascist! Catch!” alongside an up arrow, a right arrow, and another three arrows pointing downward; the words of prominent Italian anti-fascist song “Bella Ciao”; and “If you read this you are gay LMAO.”

Matt Walsh of the Daily Wire effectively dispelled the claims that Robinson was a Groyper or even a right-winger, noting the “fascist” label on one of the bullet casings. In a post on X, Walsh said, “Unsurprisingly the Left is gearing up to pin this on Nick Fuentes by claiming the killer was a Groyper. Unfortunately for them, that claim doesn’t fit any of the facts on the ground (not that they give a damn about that). The killer labeled Kirk a ‘fascist.’ That is a term only ever used by the Left as an insult to the Right. The idea that he killed Charlie for not being right wing enough, but also considered Charlie a ‘fascist,’ is totally incoherent. Absolute nonsense.”

The Daily Caller called out CNN anchor Abby Phillip for spreading the theory that Tyler Robinson may be a Groyper because he dressed up in a tracksuit for Halloween. Theories abounded that the costume was a reference to the “Slavic squat” meme, which features a cartoon of a frog squatting and smoking a cigarette, dressed in a tracksuit.

On Friday, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox (R) shared Robinson’s own family’s characterization of his politics. “During a recent dinner, Robinson allegedly said in conversation with another family member that Kirk was coming to UVU. ‘The family member also stated Kirk was full of hate and spreading hate,” Cox said.”

The family also reportedly shared that Robinson had become “more political” in recent years, which further weakens the already spurious theories otherwise. “There clearly was a leftist ideology with this — with this assassin,” he added Sunday.

The X account Anonymous, which has nearly 5.3 million followers, also disseminated claims that Robinson was a Groyper “based on his memes and rhetoric” as well as from anonymous posts.

While many outlets and social media users noted the potential connection to the Groyper movement, some cautioned that the Pepe the Frog meme is used in many other online contexts as well. As one Bluesky commenter noted of this meme, “Its the anon mask of its time, ended up so widely used by so many different types of edge lord that it has no meaning other than ‘Ive been deep in the internet too long.'”

To the contrary, more evidence has since come out that likely places Robinson well away from the right wing. For instance, officials claim that Robinson was in a romantic relationship with a trans-identifying male roommate who wants to transition into a woman.

In a post shortly after Charlie Kirk was shot, Fuentes said, “This feels like a nightmare. One of the most horrific things I’ve ever seen. I feel absolutely gutted and devastated. Pray for Charlie Kirk’s soul, his young family and for our country. The violence and hatred has to stop. Our country needs Christ now more than ever.”

A left-wing fanatic allegedly killed the most popular, well-connected, and starry-eyed young idealist on the right at the exact time the most aggressive administration since Richard Nixon is in the White House, the House of Representatives is rowdy and Republican, a far less rowdy GOP controls the Senate, alternative media is reaching parity, and Republican voters are actively engaged.

The Democrats could not have found a worse field to fight on.

Republicans just need to stop playing footsie and take this fight seriously.

This moment is historic, and for once the Grand Old Party is poised to meet it. Charlie Kirk’s cowardly assassin changed everything, and Democrats are just beginning to realize the extent of their trouble.

Here’s what this country and its government can do now, and in the near future, to make sure the system that produced and propelled Kirk’s killer is finally and mercifully dismantled.

The colleges

Charlie was murdered on a college campus for debating ideas colleges don’t welcome or tolerate. The American university system, its accreditation power, and its staff foster the protected breeding grounds for the extremism plaguing the country, but they’re not invulnerable. Republicans just need to stop playing footsie and take this fight seriously.

It starts with the governors. Republican governors have no reason to tolerate state schools that undermine the public safety and the future of the country. That process lies with the state boards of regents, which call the shots for these schools. For decades, Democrats have appointed ideologues for their cause to these boards while Republicans have used them to reward donors who want box seats for the big game. That needs to end now.

Republican governors must take their appointments seriously, and voters need to take those appointments seriously as well. The Republican Party has done an admirable job of remaking the judiciary by forcing candidates for the executive to lay out the judges they’d choose. This success can be repeated with education. “What’s your plan for the university board of regents, Mr. Candidate? And what will you do to make sure state-run schools teach the kind of skills and values the state and its voters want to see taught?”

Red states have a serious problem with institutional capture by Democrats. Republicans have the power to change that. Let Charlie’s awful murder now give them the will.

But what about private universities? The federal government has a heavier hand than the states and has power to compel even private schools on certain fronts.

One key is the 1983 Supreme Court precedent set by Bob Jones University v. United States. That questionable ruling used an undeniably ugly school policy (banning interracial dating for students and staff) to strip the school’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. In doing so, the then-liberal Supreme Court set a broad precedent: That the federal government can remove the tax status of an organization that has policies “contrary to public policy” and that “cannot be viewed as conferring a public benefit within the above ‘charitable’ concept or within the congressional intent underlying 501(c)(3).”

It’s an awful ruling, but would Justice Amy Coney Barrett overrule a precedent set to end a racist practice? Would Chief Justice John Roberts or his left-wing colleagues? That seems unlikely, so at the moment, Bob Jones gives Washington a powerful weapon to wield against private universities that are enforcing segregated housing, queer-only spaces, intimidation and limits on free speech, militant trans lessons, and other orthodoxies that are “contrary to public policy” or that “cannot be viewed as conferring a public benefit.”

And then there’s Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire, which established that “fighting words” — or “a direct personal insult or invitation to exchange fisticuffs,” as further defined by Texas v. Johnson — are not protected by the First Amendment. States are the front line for enforcement, so don’t count on California Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom’s government to protect speakers on campuses, but scenarios exist that empower Washington to step in, including when fighting words are used to deprive someone of civil rights. Campus radicals routinely try to block political opinions they don’t agree with and stop Christians and Jews from speaking openly on campus, but it would still be a difficult prosecution for the feds.

An easier option might mean bypassing civil rights laws to prosecute more straightforward cases, like solicitation to commit a crime of violence or conspiracy against rights, both of which could be used to protect people who are threatened or attacked for using their First Amendment rights.

Remember: Public speech is a federally protected activity that cannot simply be ignored by Democrat states.

Then there’s the anti-riot act and the law against transmitting threats across state lines (i.e., on social media). Bring them all to bear. Invite your friends!

President Donald Trump could further instruct the Department of Education to issue guidance that opens colleges up to financial civil liability for violent political disruptions. The executive order would be based on the Ku Klux Klan Act (more on this later), which helped defeat that band of violent militants by creating structures for financial liability around their activities. He could even call the order the “Disrupting the New Left Klan,” or something similar.

These tools all exist. And when you threaten their money, you’ll see American institutions work to break free of their radical captors.

The nonprofits

Colleges and universities aren’t the only nonprofits using the perks the American people have granted them to spread radicalism and criminality. The left-wing nonprofit sphere, already handicapped by internal radicalism and wounded by the end of USAID, provides a lot of the resources, funding, and organization behind the political street violence.

The Department of Justice can begin by investigating the big guys in the room, many of which either backed violent radicals and organizers during the 2020 riots and recent Los Angeles riot or funded organizations that took active roles in these criminal disturbances.

These include the Open Society Foundations and the network run by billionaire Shanghai resident and China propagandist Neville Roy Singham, which includes the People’s Forum, Code Pink, the United Community Fund, and the Justice and Education Fund.

The mother-ship sources of funds that have ended up in the bank accounts of violent political groups and their legal enablers should be frozen immediately. Those funds stay frozen until the Department of Justice and Congress can discern what kind of violence, unrest, and disorder they are funding. This sort of deep dive will also mean investigating the board members, officers, and staff of these rich and powerful organizations.

The federal government can go for plenty more than the big fish, too. The microscope can be trained on Arabella Advisors and New Venture Fund, Wellspring Philanthropic Fund, Telescope Fund, Impetus Fund, North Fund, Sixteen Thirty Fund, Hopewell Fund, Windward Fund, Arnold Ventures, all associated grantee organizations, and all known perpetrators of domestic lawlessness and disorder.

Investigations should focus on allegations of financing Antifa-style groups, protest coordination leading to violence and illegal disruptions, and any ties to recent assassinations or murders. Investigators must have the authority to subpoena financial records, communications, and witness testimonies across state lines.

President Donald Trump has also floated using anti-racketeering RICO laws, which could be applicable to everyone from the foundations to the militants they empower. For decades Republicans wouldn’t dare go after these types. That kind of breathing room naturally breeds the kind of legal sloppiness you simply do not find in the nonprofits of the long-scrutinized and persecuted American right.

Stop the money going toward the violent radicals targeting American cities, schools, agents, and police, and you’ll cripple their revolution.

Disrupting the New Klan

There’s an irony in the similarities today’s masked left-wing militants share with the Ku Klux Klan, and that irony would be even more delicious if some of the laws written to combat the Klan were used against our new political terrorists.

Using already written laws is essential, given the small majorities in the House and Senate. Fortunately, the Ku Klux Klan Act, first passed during Reconstruction but updated twice in the 1980s, provides several powerful tools for going after domestic radicals.

Consider, for example, the federal statute covering “conspiracy to interfere with civil rights.” Section 3 specifically targets “two or more persons” who disguise themselves to “either directly or indirectly” deprive someone of equal protection under the law.

Further, the law creates civil liability for “two or more persons” from so much as planning:

to prevent by force, intimidation, or threat, any citizen who is lawfully entitled to vote, from giving his support or advocacy in a legal manner, toward or in favor of the election of any lawfully qualified person as an elector for President or Vice President, or as a Member of Congress of the United States; or to injure any citizen in person or property on account of such support or advocacy.

Masked rioters disrupting speeches on college campuses fall squarely in line here with this already existing (and tested) law.

The neigboring statute goes even farther, creating civil liabilities for those who even know about the plans to attack or intimidate political speech. Suddenly, those left-wing internet chats seem a little risky, don’t they?

Trump’s Wednesday-night declaration that Antifa will now be treated as a domestic “major terrorist organization” is a strong step, but it will entail difficult application and invite legal pushback. American laws wisely empower the government with much less leeway for domestic groups than it has with foreign terrorist organizations. There is no statutory procedure for it.

Fortunately for White House policymakers, Antifa has a global presence, and if investigators can identify channels for money or communication between the chapters, they’ll have an easier time, just as the government has accomplished with MS-13 and other international drug gangs now designated as transnational criminal organizations.

The designation should serve to prioritize investigating and unraveling Antifa radical activities, as well as raising those activities from crimes to national security threats, with FBI, DHS, and ATF involvement. It could also give legal space for using Patriot Act powers to recover financial and phone records and aggressively pursue funders and the avenues they use.

“If you try to designate just Antifa as a single entity or movement, what I suspect you’ll find is that the bureaucrats will say, ‘We don’t know what that is; that’s not a thing that exists,”’ Center for Security Policy Director Kyle Shideler explained on BlazeTV’s “Blaze News: The Mandate” Monday night. The “faster and more effective” way to target them, he said, is to start abroad, then connect the dots to specific domestic groups.

The president could also direct the Department of Justice to trace funding back from bridge-blockers and other illegal disruptors to its sources and charge them with civil conspiracy. Given the international sources of some of this money, he could further instruct the Department of State to trace money from illegal unrest to hostile state actors like Cuba and Roy Singham’s China.

Next steps

There’s a hunger on the right for new laws to rein in the militant left. On Capitol Hill, Republicans face a narrow Senate majority that limits what they can pass. That doesn’t mean they should sit idle. Force votes. Put Democrats on the record and let voters decide.

Start with bills that hit the organizations fueling disorder. Pass laws that strip nonprofit status or tax breaks from groups that provide material support for riots, block public roads, or coordinate mass unlawful activity. Bar leaders of those groups from serving in other nonprofits or labor-union boards for a set period. Treat financier-enablers the way we treat organized crime and corrupt enterprises — follow the money and expose the patrons.

Most importantly, wield powers that already exist. Criminal prosecutions against backers of revolution pose constitutional hurdles, but civil penalties and financial-liability tools face far lower barriers. Use asset forfeiture, civil suits, treble damages, and regulatory sanctions to choke off funding.

Targeting money silences mobs far more effectively than a thousand press releases. Congress and state attorneys general should use those authorities aggressively — and make sure the public sees who defended the financiers.

Wield power responsibly and legally, but firmly. Target the many carve-outs the people have generously granted nonprofits and universities in the understanding that they would use their privileges to make our country a better and more prosperous place.

We’re in a very dangerous place. Support for political violence has skyrocketed among liberal and “very liberal” Democrats. If the levels we’re seeing there were mirrored on the American right, we’d be on the fast track to a terrible civil war.

We have a chance to stop that without surrendering any of our rights or granting the government sweeping new authorities. The beast is growing. We have to starve it now.

Sinclair Broadcast Group has “indefinitely suspended” Jimmy Kimmel’s ABC late-night show — a show that had long struggled in ratings — after he falsely claimed Charlie Kirk’s assassin supported Donald Trump. Nexstar quickly followed. Together, Sinclair and Nexstar are the nation’s two largest TV station groups, with dozens of affiliates across the country. Their decisions this week sent shockwaves through the media landscape.

The reality is both companies acted independently, without government orders. Yet, the left instantly accused Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brandon Carr of pressuring the networks after he publicly commented on the suspensions.

Kimmel’s show didn’t collapse because of an FCC conspiracy. It collapsed because audiences walked away, and his bosses finally caught up.

That framing distorts reality. Corporations — not regulators — are making these editorial calls based on ratings and audience alignment. Demands for government intervention are not only unnecessary but intentionally misleading.

The ratings tell the story. Kimmel has been floundering for years. Nielsen data shows his program couldn’t even crack the top 100. Contrast that with Tucker Carlson, whose departure from Fox News sparked cheers on the left, even though his show ranked second across all of cable news. The double standard couldn’t be clearer. Success on the right is branded as dangerous. Failure on the left is brushed off as bad luck — or twisted into claims of political persecution.

Disney, which owns ABC, now faces added headaches as it negotiates high-stakes deals such as ESPN’s acquisition of the NFL Network. Even the suggestion of regulatory scrutiny rattles corporate boardrooms.

Meanwhile, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) has openly celebrated the deplatforming of media voices she dislikes. Her office boasted about efforts to silence Carlson, insisting his rhetoric fueled political unrest. That same standard mysteriously vanishes when progressives cross the line.

The controversy over Kimmel’s suspension isn’t really about free speech — it’s about accountability. Networks have every right to cancel a program for poor ratings or editorial drift. They also have the right to cut ties over moral collapse, such as celebrating someone’s death or spreading lies to score political points.

Kirk’s assassination underscored this divide. Some teachers and professors mourned his loss. Others openly celebrated it. That grotesque reaction sent a chilling message about the culture we’re building: Dissent can mean destruction. When educators, entertainers, and media voices cheer violence or try to silence opponents, they abandon the principles of a free society.

The Constitution protects free speech from government intrusion. It does not shield public figures who abuse their platforms from the consequences of their words. Influence carries responsibility, and ignoring that responsibility corrodes the civic fabric.

I’ve seen this machine operate up close. Left-wing activists and their allies in media, corporations, and even the White House have coordinated campaigns to sideline voices like mine. Van Jones’ nonprofit targeted my employment. Advertisers applied pressure. Facebook and Twitter used deplatforming as a weapon. Yet, critics such as CNN’s Brian Stelter only complain when conservatives push back.

The hypocrisy is unmistakable — and it proves that “accountability” means one thing for the right and nothing at all for the left.

Sinclair, Nexstar, and other broadcasters acted within their rights by making independent business decisions. The market — not federal regulators — should decide what content survives. Audience demand and grassroots engagement, not bureaucratic meddling, must shape the media landscape. Cancel culture turns toxic when it stops being about debate and becomes about erasing opponents.

What cannot be ignored is the double standard on full display. The left openly cheers efforts to deplatform and silence conservative voices — whether through government pressure, media campaigns, or activist intimidation — but cries foul when one of its own loses a platform because viewers tune out.

Last week, a bipartisan group of senators introduced legislation on drug prices that specifically targets pharmacy benefit managers, exactly as Big Pharma prefers. Pharmaceutical companies have spent years trying to convince the public and policymakers that PBMs are the bad guys in the prescription supply chain, shadowy middlemen inflating prices and hurting innovation. That narrative is convenient, but it is also wrong. PBMs are introducing competition, eliminating waste, and driving down prices.

Which is precisely why Big Pharma wants them out of the way.

The truth is that pharmacy benefit managers are effective. And that is exactly why drugmakers are going after them.

The pharmaceutical industry spends more money than any other sector to sway government policy. In 2024, it poured $90 million into campaign contributions and nearly $400 million into lobbying — much of it through former government officials now on the payroll. Drugmakers also shelled out a whopping $11 billion on advertising, a sum that conveniently buys more than consumer attention. It pressures media outlets to look the other way, a racket the Trump administration is finally moving to rein in.

After the black eye of the opioid crisis and the COVID-19 debacle, Big Pharma needs a scapegoat for high drug prices. It found one in a quiet, little-known player most Americans have never heard of, much less understood.

But the numbers are clear. A recent study shows pharmacy benefit managers deliver at least $145 billion in net value every year, even after costs. Compared with a system where manufacturers dictate prices, PBMs create an additional $192 billion in value across the economy. That money doesn’t vanish into corporate coffers. It flows back into businesses, households, and the wallets of working Americans.

PBMs accomplish this by negotiating directly with manufacturers and pharmacies. They aggregate buying power for millions of people. They secure rebates and discounts that most individual plans could never get on their own. In 2020, PBM-managed rebate structures created $51 billion in value for patients and plan sponsors. That is a competitive market in action.

PBMs are expected to save health plans and consumers about $1.2 trillion over the next 10 years, averaging $1,154 per person per year. And for every dollar spent on PBM services, the system saves $10 in return. By steering patients toward generics and bio-similars, PBMs helped the health system save $445 billion in 2023 alone. That is what efficiency looks like.

Perhaps more importantly, they improve health outcomes. When patients can afford their prescriptions, they are more likely to take them. That means fewer hospitalizations and fewer emergency room visits. PBM-driven programs have led to as much as a 16% increase in medication adherence and a 10% drop in inpatient admissions.

It’s an obvious good to have healthier Americans. But it’s also good for a productive economy.

By lowering premiums and drug costs in public programs, PBMs save taxpayers money as well. This alone accounts for $47 billion in annual savings. And by accelerating patient access to new therapies early in the patent cycle, PBMs support pharmaceutical innovation instead of stifling it.

PBMs currently manage 95% of retail prescriptions and serve 91% of plan participants. That’s because they work. Businesses in the free market use services they value. And they value PBMs because they allow employers to offer more affordable coverage without sacrificing quality.

The truth is that PBMs are effective. And that is exactly why drugmakers are going after them. PBMs bring down net prices and demand accountability. That cuts into Big Pharma’s profit margins. So the industry has launched a campaign to reframe PBMs as a problem rather than a solution.

For example, a Biden-era Federal Trade Commission report that painted PBMs in a negative light should be viewed with skepticism. Even FTC Commissioner Melissa Holyoak emphasized that the report ignores the hard evidence of PBM-driven savings and warned that it was “a premature and deficient report,” adding, “Our job is not to score cheap points for transient political favor.”

“Though facile arguments that rely on ideologically loaded buzzwords such as ‘control’ or ‘power’ may stir emotions and make for entertaining social media posts and television interviews, ideological buzzwords are no substitute for rational, evidence-based research,” Holyoak said.

Sadly, some lawmakers are swallowing Big Pharma’s spin. Bills moving at both the federal and state level would gut PBMs — and hand drugmakers exactly what they want. Even a Brookings Institution analysis found that targeting PBMs won’t lower costs and would only weaken bargaining power against manufacturers.

That isn’t reform. It’s malpractice. Weakening the only players who force price discipline amounts to doing Big Pharma’s bidding at the expense of patients.

This fight isn’t about patients versus middlemen. It’s about competition versus monopoly. It’s about market discipline versus unchecked corporate power.

PBMs work because they negotiate, they drive better drug choices, and they deliver real value. When the most powerful industry in America is desperate to kill them off, you don’t need a think tank study to see what’s at stake. That fact alone tells you everything you need to know.

The early ’90s were an interesting time to be a troubled teenager. After I spent years in a glorified orphanage, the New York state courts emancipated me at 16. I’d never have to go back to the house where my abusive mother ruled like a mental asylum nurse sicker in the head than her patients.

But it also meant living rough. The Salvation Army paid for me to live in a welfare apartment with a drug dealer roommate while I got on my feet after dropping out of high school. At night I’d wake up to go to the bathroom; when I turned on the light, three or four roaches on the wall would skitter away. It was worse in the kitchen, where at least half a dozen would greet me when I flipped the switch.

‘The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.’

That’s what’s been happening across America since Charlie Kirk’s murder on September 10, 2025. The lights went on, and thousands, maybe millions, of human cockroaches were caught in the fluorescent glare.

Cluster B nation

This is the first time many of you have seen the extent of the infestation. Before this, you comforted yourself with statements like, “It’s only a few troubled kids,” and, “It’s just a small minority of crazy people on social media.”

Now you know differently. Just like cockroaches, there are at least two or three functionally psychopathic people for every one you notice. The explosion of gleeful grave-dancing about Charlie Kirk’s murder has shocked the nation.

It didn’t shock me. For almost five years, I’ve been putting out a weekly show, “Disaffected,” that has a thesis: We are living in a Cluster B world.

What is “Cluster B?” This is the term for a set of personality disorders (moral and character disorders, a fancy name for “bad people”) that feature unbridled narcissism and exploitation of other people. My mother had narcissistic and borderline personality disorders; in practice, that meant a woman who screamed, lied, and blamed her own children for the abuse that she enacted on them.

When I figured out what my mother’s moral depravity really was, I saw that the political and cultural left I was then a part of had the same dark character.

Psychopathic society

The left — not just the fringe, but the beating mainstream heart — has a Cluster B personality disorder. It is narcissistic, emotionally unstable, pathologically dishonest, abusive, and conscience-free. The leftist mind delights in the murder of godly men like Charlie Kirk. The leftist heart turns black with erotic frisson contemplating how a lunatic exploded Mr. Kirk’s carotid artery with a rifle while thousands stood watching.

The Cluster B disorder grouping includes psychopathy, the state of having no conscience or care for the well-being of others, only a selfish desire to get what you want no matter the cost. Psychopathy frequently includes sadism, and sadism is everywhere right now.

Again, it’s not just the fringe.

Liberal podcaster “Destiny” (real name Steven Bonnell) indicated on Piers Morgan that Charlie Kirk was to blame for his own murder because he helped elect President Trump.

Have you noticed how many nurses, doctors, and other professionals, like pilots, feel comfortable cheering? If you haven’t, you’d better start noticing right quick or you’re not going to make it. That’s not a joke or a turn of phrase: You have liberals in your family and social circle who would see you dead, you personally.

Beyond the political

Nor is today like the political disagreements of the past. There has never been a time in American history when it was socially acceptable to display naked psychopathic glee over assassination. Bill and Carol may have voted for different candidates in the 1960 presidential election, but they didn’t go further than squabbling about it over dinner before turning in for bed. But today? If you were Bill, would you get into a bed with Carol without worrying that she might knife you in the night?

We are in a national emergency.

What you’re seeing is not political disagreement. It is not “clashing worldviews.” It is a battle between good and evil.

I don’t say that lightly. After years of functional atheism, I am only beginning to figure out what I think about God. But like most Americans, I grew up in a society that was steeped in Christian morality, no matter how much we try to deny it now. And I can see this for what it is: spiritual warfare.

‘The day is at hand’

This moment calls to mind a verse from St. Paul’s letter to the Romans: “The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.”

Charlie Kirk understood the urgency of this task. Although he was raised an evangelical Christian, when he started his political project, he was determined to keep religion out of it. But as time went on, he began to realize how inextricably the two were linked. Embracing Christianity is what made him such an effective speaker — and, for some, a dangerous one.

Like all of us, Kirk was human. You can go through the vast amount of footage of him talking off the cuff and find moments where his phrasing is perhaps less charitable than it should be, but to watch him engaged in his one-on-one debates — as few of his detractors seem to have done — is to see a man clothed in “the armor of light.”

This armor is what gave Kirk the confidence to confront the most hostile crowds. He knew he was right. Not because of his preternatural calm, or his quickness on his feet, or his impressive rhetorical skill. But because he possessed the truth. What drove him to work so hard, to make so many appearances, was his conviction that this truth was worth sharing.

Truth heals

You can see it again and again in the clips: A student — often with the usual leftist signifiers of purple hair, tattoos, and piercings — approaches the mic, clearly nervous beneath the bravado. In the current liberal fashion, they often lead with their “identity,” as if daring Kirk to ridicule them. But Kirk doesn’t play into it. Instead of attacking their self-conception, he gently asks them to examine it.

One telling example has been making the rounds after Kirk’s death. In it, a shy young woman identifies herself as a “transgender male” and earnestly asks Kirk’s opinion on whether she should take hormones.

Kirk begins by thanking her for her honesty and willingness to speak, and then responds:

So, I’m going to have an opinion that very few people will ever tell you, which is, I want you to be very cautious putting drugs into your system in the pursuit of changing your body. I instead encourage you to work on what’s going on in your brain first.

I think what you need first and foremost is just a diagnosis, just someone that is going to listen to what you’ve gone through, listen to what else is going on.

My prayer for you, and again, very few people will say this, I actually want to see you be comfortable in how you were born. I know that you might not feel that way, but I think that is something that you can achieve. I think that with the right team and the right people, you don’t have to wage war on your body; you can learn to love your body.

At his best, Kirk wasn’t so much “debating” people as he was inviting them to examine their own arguments and assumptions in the hopes that they, too, could be guided to the truth. Whatever “win” Kirk sought would benefit his interlocutors more than him.

Donning the armor

Kirk’s talent, good will, and faith could not, in the end, protect him from an assassin’s bullet. People have called Kirk a “martyr,” but this 31-year-old man with a young family and big plans for the future didn’t willingly embrace death.

Of course, he knew it was a risk to address the audiences he did, and to do so took great courage. But he was not reckless; he was well aware of the threats against him and traveled with security. What he couldn’t imagine — what none of us could imagine — is that we now live in an America where an ordinary citizen can be killed in cold blood merely for expressing an opinion, an America where some will even cheer on the murder.

We understand now. And part of honoring Kirk’s legacy is to be ever vigilant to the threat his death revealed and to protect ourselves and our families from the evil forces marshaled against us.

We must also order our lives in accordance with the truth, as Kirk did. We must live in such a way that we encourage those already with us and inspire those who have yet to come around.

Yes, there is real evil in the world, and there’s nothing we can do with genuine psychopaths except to avoid or contain them. But for every stone-cold killer there are countless men and women who have slowly been poisoned by an insidious, evil ideology without even realizing it.

Ordinary people like you and me can guide them to the antidote, and we can hope they’ll be willing to take it. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and persevere in the battle Kirk fought with such honor and conviction.

An Ohio woman from Brunswick who allegedly committed horrific acts of abuse against her 7-year-old son could be seen smiling in a news video of her arrest.

Police began a multi-state search for 32-year-old Tiarika Baymon after receiving a call from the Federal Bureau of Investigation that the child was missing and possibly in danger, according to Brunswick Police Department Lt. Chris Spencer.

Investigators said they have not released the video of the alleged abuse because of its graphic and disturbing nature.

Spencer said that police were able to ping her cell phone in order to track her whereabouts and issued an Amber Alert to search for the child. Because of the cellphone tracking, he said that police had her in custody within 10 minutes of issuing the alert.

The Amber Alert described Baymon as “paranoid” and speaking about demons.

Police eventually located the woman’s car parked along a wood line in Pennsylvania, with Baymon asleep in the driver’s seat and the child on top of the pulled-down back seat. The woman allegedly had a gun in her lap.

“The child was in significant distress,” said Ross Township Deputy Chief Brian Kohlhepp. The boy was described as dehydrated and sweaty.

Police said the child showed signs of being tied up and having possibly suffered broken bones. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Baymon was charged with felony child endangerment, but police said they expect her to face many more charges.

Investigators said they have not released the video of the alleged abuse because of its graphic and disturbing nature. The boy will be place into protective custody after being released from the hospital.

On Sept. 10, 2025, Charlie Kirk was assassinated for the political sin of showing up on college campuses across our country and taking and answering questions. These queries came from students and guests, whether they were allies, adversaries, or simply curious-minded Americans exercising their unalienable right to engage in civic discourse openly.

Charlie Kirk was martyred for the free exercise of his First Amendment rights. And the right to free speech, which he championed, was critically wounded in the attack.

Charlie’s influence was huge before he was shot. It appears to be growing by the day in death.

The aftermath marks a turning point in our nation’s “house divided” future.

Taking the torch

Let’s do as Charlie did masterfully and probe the mindset of the other — in this case, that of his assassins and of his like-minded enablers. It was Charlie’s way. It is the Socratic way. It is the Western civ, the American way.

Who will rid us of this meddlesome apostle of free expression?

Progressives don’t like to think of themselves as King Henry II, the man who uttered the fateful words that caused four loyalists to murder Thomas Becket. But where else can their constant denunciations of Republicans as “Nazis” or “fascists” lead?

A young man, who was being groomed to be a moral monster by our culture and the passions it unleashes, heard the dog-whistle call to arms, seized the opportunity of a public event in his home state, and allegedly did what was collectively seen by his ilk as necessary and proper.

To do so, he suspended morality, the rule of law, and human decency to serve what he and too many others see as a higher political purpose. Sadly, this moral madness is what is taught in our nation’s colleges. This is the ethic that guided the global left — paired now with America’s identitarian vanguard —to fundamentally remake America.

Their immoral reasoning not only led to the killing of Charlie Kirk, but it is also the rationale of messianic monsters through the ages. In the 20th century alone, under the guise of National Socialism and global communism, it led to the murder of 100 million people.

Social media has given it another Great Leap Forward. It is the justification for the show trials, the guillotine, the oven, the suicide vest, and the lone sniper.

This assassin’s creed is not for everyone. Only a few have the wherewithal to take this beyond-good-and-evil step. But those who do take things to their evil conclusion do so knowing that those with less nerve but shared adjacency on the ends will find in their partisan hearts that what they did was needed and therefore good, if not praiseworthy.

This is the recipe for political madness and is incompatible with our venerable experiment in self-government that we must now defend in common.

Turning toward the good

What does Charlie Kirk’s assassination portend for our country?

I see the potential of a natural turning point toward the good, the restoration of the First Amendment’s spirit, and a return of political, civic, cultural, religious, and economic toleration. That would be a big rainbow following a storm.

So far, there has been little call for retaliatory violence. So much for the “Hitler Youth” hand-wringing. There have only been completely peaceful prayer vigils. Unlike this assassin’s creed and its enablers, Charlie Kirk’s soul and mind would not allow such a demonic transvaluation of value. His true followers share that moral position. On this point, the partisan calls for moral equivalence don’t hold.

The good news for us, the living, is that Charlie is being honored in death by his followers in a way that gives us all a new political lease on life.

I first heard of his shooting from my 28-year-old son and 18-year-old nephew. They saw Charlie’s execution with their own eyes within moments of it happening and captured the core un-American inhumanity of it all. “A man is gunned down for the thought crime of debating on a college campus.”

“This guy is a family man,” they said. “He has a wife and two young children.”

What happens going forward?

Charlie’s influence was huge before he was shot. It appears to be growing by the day in death. I hope something good is happening in real time. I believe you can see, hear, and feel it.

It turns out that when a public figure with 35 million followers gets assassinated for the whole world to see for simply speaking on a college campus, those who never heard of him — or heard something, good or bad — will naturally check it out themselves.

A national re-examination

A national re-examination may be happening. The curious are finding an immediate and growing corpus that is deconstructing the demonic caricature made of him and are standing up for this smart, fast-talking, civil, and happy man in the very prime of his life.

Charlie’s wife, Erika, gave a speech filled with love and principle that brought tears to those with open hearts. This organization that Charlie dedicated half of his life to is not going anywhere but onward and upward.

Since his assassination, Turning Point USA has received tens of thousands of applications to set up new college chapters. College mandarins in charge of greenlighting or gaslighting student organizations and regulating speech to their Orwellian liking should tread lightly going forward. The Justice Department will be watching.

Charlie is dead but not gone. His happy-warrior spirit and first-rate mind are already immortalized in the cloud. To the legion of young people whose hearts are broken and want to do more, you know that Charlie would want you to follow in his footsteps. The time for being a spectator was canceled with an assassin’s bullet. Today, it is time to stand up, show up, and be like Charlie. You know his mind and his method.

From heaven, Charlie is saying to all those who love him, “Prove me right.”

Political streamer Destiny, whose given name is Steven Bonnell II, recently appeared on “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” where he not only refused to condemn the assassination of Charlie Kirk, but openly mocked Erika Kirk for mourning her husband.

“I don’t understand you, Destiny. You have so much hatred in your heart,” Ana Kasparian said on the panel of “Piers Morgan Uncensored.”

“It’s such a simple thing,” Destiny responded. “If you’re going to weaponize somebody’s grief against the other party, well, then of course people have a right to fight back against it. I think that she has every right to grieve in whatever way she wants.”

“But when that grief is going to be weaponized to do recruitment, political recruitment and further radicalization of the other side, then of course you not only have the ability to mock, I think you have the obligation to mock it. It’s insane,” he added.

“If someone assassinated my husband,” Kasparian responds in disbelief, “I would not be able to have the level of composure she had during that speech. I would be out for blood. I understand why she’s angry and why she said the things that she said. Okay? You need to understand what being a human is.”

However, that’s not even the worst of the panel’s interactions with Destiny.

Jack Posobiec, who lost a best friend when he lost Charlie, spoke of one of the shooter’s bullets that said, “Hey fascist, catch,” before Destiny erupted.

“That’s not even the bullet that was fired. How are you lying about this?” Destiny said.

“Shut up, Destiny,” Posobiec says, clearly frustrated.

“You’re so shameless, dude. Oh my God. … You’re such a disgusting piece of s**t,” Destiny shouted.

“That’s what Destiny does. He wants to argue semantics. Like, he’s trying to call Jack Posobiec a liar for not describing the exact bullet, even though we know all four bullets had all of these weird messages on them. So, I mean, regardless of the bullet that went in him, every bullet had a message,” Stein says, disgusted.

“He’s an evil, sick, sick, disgusting person,” he adds.

Slavery denied the humanity of people created in God’s image. Transgenderism — and its stepmother, gay marriage — does the same. Transgenderism mutilates bodies, erases truth, and mocks the created order. A society that tolerates it cannot remain free. Just as America once purged slavery, red states must now abolish this destructive creed.

The violence can no longer be dismissed as coincidence. Before investigators even finished documenting the carnage from a transgender shooter at a Minneapolis Catholic school, Charlie Kirk was murdered by a young man entangled in a relationship with a transgender partner and radicalized by that subculture online. These killers do not spring from nowhere. They emerge from a movement that celebrates mutilation, spreads delusion, and channels self-harm outward into violence.

This is the new abolition. Just as our ancestors eradicated slavery, our generation must eradicate transgenderism.

The medical data confirms the pattern. A 2023 study in the Journal of the American Medical Association led by NIH researcher Sarah Jackson found that transgender-identified people are three times more likely than men and five times more likely than women to die from suicide or homicide. In plain English: This ideology is deadly. It breeds broken bodies, broken minds, and broken communities. The “transition” industry is built on violence — against the self first, and then against others.

That makes transgenderism not a lifestyle but an inherently violent ideology. Like slavery, it is not a private eccentricity we can politely ignore. It is a social contagion that destabilizes families, radicalizes young men and women into killers, and leaves a trail of corpses in its wake.

Conservatives often ask: Can we shield our families from this? Not completely. The culture is too saturated. But we can, and must, turn red states into political no-go zones for transgenderism. If a state will not protect children from mutilation, schools from indoctrination, or families from assault, then it has surrendered to the lie. Legislatures must act now.

Here are 10 steps every red state must take — and soon:

Ban adult castration and hormone “transitions.” We don’t allow elective removal of healthy organs for any other mental disorder. States must extend bans from minors to adults.End Medicaid coverage. Ten states — Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, andTexas — already bar taxpayer funding for transgender procedures. The rest must follow.Restore biological truth on birth certificates and licenses. Only a handful of states refuse to indulge gender fantasies. All must.Purge government agencies of transgender dogma. Eight states — Florida, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, Idaho, Utah, Kansas, and Iowa — restrict pronouns and gender ideology across schools and bureaucracies; that number needs to multiply.Keep bathrooms separate. Most red states ban men from girls’ sports, but fewer ban them from girls’ bathrooms. Florida, Texas, Idaho, and Arkansas lead; others lag.Criminalize drag shows for minors, including “story hours.” Public indecency is not a “right.” Only four states have laws on the books, and most are tied up in courts. Legislatures must strengthen them.Ban gender ideology in schools. Thirteen states restrict it, but half the red map still allows children to be indoctrinated daily. Aside from Florida, only Indiana, Kentucky, Montana, and Ohio police such instruction in all grades. Forbid rainbow flags and sexual propaganda on government property. Public streets, buildings, and bridges should not be billboards for sexual ideology. Six states have acted; more must.Ban transgender adoptions. We would never place children in homes where parents suffer from schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. Gender delusion must be treated the same.Mandate coverage for detransition care. Those who pushed mutilation must pay to undo the damage. Texas has already led with SB 1257.

Taken together, these reforms would begin dismantling the edifice of lies. Yet outside of banning child surgeries and men in women’s sports, most red states remain shockingly passive. They nibble at the edges while leaving the structure intact.

This is not a matter of “live and let live.” Transgenderism spreads not through DNA but through culture, propaganda, and peer contagion. It advances because we permit it. And as long as we permit it, children will be mutilated, killers will be radicalized, and families will bury loved ones.

Scripture is clear on the task before us: “And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place” (Deuteronomy 12:3).

This is the new abolition. Just as our ancestors eradicated slavery, our generation must eradicate transgenderism. To compromise is to invite more funerals. To delay is to betray the next generation.

The time has come. Tear it out, root and branch.

Lexi Kuenzle, a 33-year-old nurse at Englewood Health in New Jersey, was suspended from her job after confronting bariatric surgeon Dr. Matthew Jung for his alleged comments regarding Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

According to her testimony, Jung celebrated Kirk’s death, claiming he “deserved it,” during a discussion at the nurses’ station in front of colleagues and a patient on a stretcher. But when Kuenzle reported the incident to hospital management and shared the story on her personal Instagram account, she was immediately suspended without pay and urged by a union representative to seek other employment.

On September 13, Kuenzle filed a lawsuit against Englewood Health, Dr. Jung, and others, alleging religious discrimination based on her Christian faith, retaliation for whistleblowing under the Conscientious Employee Protection Act, violation of the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, and creation of a hostile work environment.

Thankfully, just two days after filing, Lexi was reinstated to her position with full back pay, and Dr. Jung resigned from his role as a bariatric surgeon at the hospital. But Lexi is moving forward with the lawsuit.

On a recent episode of “The Glenn Beck Program,” Glenn invited Lexi to share her deepest concerns over what the scandal has revealed about our current state of health care.

“What if a patient comes into the hospital, and, you know, they’re wearing a Charlie Kirk shirt or any type of shirt that the doctor does not agree with? Now we raise the question: Is this patient going to be treated the same?” she tells Glenn.

Lexi’s comments remind Glenn of a story from 1981. “I often think of what Reagan said after he was shot. He’s on the table; he’s almost dead … and right as they’re putting him under, he says, ‘Hang on just a second. I’m assuming all of you are Republicans,’ and the Democrat main doctor said, ‘Sir, we are all Republicans today.”’

“That is the way we should be,” he says.

Nobody in need of medical care, he argues, should ever have to ask the question: “Because you politically differ from me, am I less than a human being? Am I less of an important patient to you because of my political stance?”

“Exactly. This is way beyond politics,” says Lexi.

“I am so proud of you and so pleased to be able to say good job. I mean, that took real guts,” says Glenn.

Democrats on the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform announced an investigation into the cancellation of the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” show over the host’s comments about the suspect in the Charlie Kirk assassination.

Kimmel suggested that Tyler Robinson was a supporter of the “Make America Great Again” movement in the opening monologue of his show on Monday. By Wednesday, the ABC television network announced it would pull the show indefinitely after Nexstar Media Group said it was pre-empting the show on stations it owned.

Democrats and other critics of President Donald Trump have since claimed that Kimmel’s firing was politically motivated and point to comments from the head of the Federal Communications Commission against Kimmel.

On Thursday, Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.), the top Democrat of the Oversight Committee, announced the investigation.

“We must condemn all political violence,” he wrote on social media. “But recent threats from this Administration are an attack on the media and the First Amendment. Late-night talk show hosts should be able to speak freely and give their opinions. The free press is under attack.”

Garcia sent letters to ABC as well as FCC Chairman Brendan Carr about the investigation.

Critics claim that Kimmel made the comments in the context of a joke and defended him on that basis.

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said in the monologue.

Garcia’s letter to Carr quoted him as threatening the companies with government action if they did not do something with Kimmel.

“These companies can find ways to change conduct and take action, frankly, on Kimmel, or there’s going to be additional work for the FCC ahead,” he said.

Garcia accused the administration of trampling on Kimmel’s free speech rights.

“When a government targets comedians, it’s not just comedy that’s under attack. It’s democracy,” Garcia added on social media.

A panel about the assassination of Charlie Kirk descended into chaos over the extreme claims from a leftist streamer and influencer who said he had an obligation to mock the activist’s widow.

Liberal YouTube host Ana Kasparian and others berated streamer Destiny, whose real name is Steven Bonnell, for calling on Democrats to mock Erika Kirk after she encouraged Americans to join Turning Point USA in honor of her slain husband.

‘Because of the fact that you have a huge audience, you have a responsibility! … You represent the worst of us, Destiny! You’re embarrassing!’

“The idea of mocking a woman who is now a widow with two young children, who witnessed her husband get shot in the neck and bleed out to death, how can you mock that? What is wrong with you?” Kasparian said to Bonnell on Piers Morgan’s YouTube show.

“I don’t understand you, Destiny. You have so much hatred in your heart!” she added.

“It’s such a simple thing. If you’re gonna weaponize somebody’s grief against the other party, well, then of course people have a right to fight back against it,” he responded.

“I think that she has every right to grieve in whatever way she wants,” Bonnell added. “But when that grief is gonna be weaponized to do recruitment, political recruitment, and further radicalization of the other side, then of course you not only have the ability to mock, but I think you have the obligation to mock it. It’s insane!”

“Let me understand. Let me understand your argument. So since others are using her grief to politically recruit, you think that it’s OK to mock her specifically?” Kasparian asked. “How does that make any sense?”

“Since others are using her grief?” Bonnell replies. “She’s the one who gave a 17-minute speech on TV where she talked about good versus evil. She’s the one showing up in TPUSA ads one or two days after.”

Bonnell went on to attack Kasparian for criticizing the left and said that right-wing activists are planning on a civil war while liberals are attacking each other.

Elsewhere in the interview, Kasparian demanded that Bonnell condemn the attack on Kirk, but he said he would do so only after Trump condemned political violence.

“Why is your behavior contingent on Donald Trump?” Kasparian asked.

“Because he’s the president of the United States of America and the leader of the opposing political party!” Bonnell yelled.

“You have a huge audience of young men who listen to everything you have to say! … And because of the fact that you have a huge audience, you have a responsibility! … You represent the worst of us, Destiny! You’re embarrassing!” Kasparian yelled back.

Bonnell also mocked Kasparian for having a conversation with Blaze Media co-founder Glenn Beck.

“You’re so embarrassing. You make the left look so bad, and you don’t even realize it. You are seriously so embarrassing,” Kasparian said to Bonnell.

“OK, yeah. You can talk to your best friend, Glenn Beck, about it later,” Bonnell mocked.

“Maybe I will!” she responded. “Maybe I will talk to Glenn Beck about it! Oh, is that naughty? Is it naughty to have conversations with people across the aisle?”

She went on to say that Bonnell should be shunned from the movement over cyber sexual harassment allegations against him in a lawsuit from another political influencer. Bonnell has said he did not violate any laws and was himself a victim of the leak.

Also on Thursday, Turning Point USA announced that Erika Kirk is taking over as CEO.

The Republican Study Committee is taking aim at House Democrats for proposing a last-minute funding plan chock-full of “radical left-wing” policy proposals.

House Republicans are set to pass a clean continuing resolution Friday to keep the lights on through November 21 ahead of the September 30 funding deadline. The GOP proposal includes minimal anomalies with the exception of increased security funds in light of Charlie Kirk’s horrific assassination.

Despite this, Democrats have taken it upon themselves to propose their own funding bill, which RSC Chairman August Pfluger (R-Texas) called “stale leftovers” from former President Joe Biden’s administration.

“The Democrats’ continuing resolution proposal is nothing more than stale leftovers from the Biden-Harris administration that nobody wanted the first time around, and microwaving them won’t make them any more appetizing to the American people,” Pfluger told Blaze News.

In a memo obtained exclusively by Blaze News, the RSC contrasted the Democrats’ bloated spending plan that would help fund abortion and illegal aliens with the GOP’s straightforward, clean CR.

Democrats put forth a funding plan that would increase spending by nearly $1.5 trillion, including a continuation of $350 billion worth of Biden-era subsidies. The Democrats’ spending bill would also continue to funnel millions in benefits to illegal aliens and left-wing media companies like PBS and NPR and would reverse nearly $5 billion in spending cuts.

“While House Republicans offer a responsible plan to keep government open at current funding levels, Democrats are recklessly threatening a shutdown unless we bend the knee to their $1.5 trillion spending spree that provides illegal aliens with access to Medicaid and spends $350 billion on extending Biden COVID credits that subsidize abortion,” Pfluger told Blaze News.

At a recent city council meeting in Dearborn, Michigan, a local Christian man objected to naming a street after Osama Siblani — a Lebanese-born American who publishes the Arab American News and has made remarks supportive of terror groups.

“As a Christian, I would like to encourage peace. I’m not just being, like, you know, pro-Israel in this and, you know, fight back and that sort of thing, but I would like to encourage peace and not violence,” the local man explained.

The mayor of Dearborn, Abdullah Hammoud, responded that the man should close his eyes when he drives down the street to not see the street names.

“And I think it’s quite hypocritical to know that you’re approaching this podium, when you yourself have videos on YouTube standing in front of my mosque saying the cruelest of things about Muslims, about the religion of Islam, because you are a bigot, and you are a racist, and you are an Islamophobe,” Hammoud said.

“And although you live here, I want you to know as mayor, you are not welcome here, and the day you move out of the city will be the day that I launch a parade celebrating the fact that you moved out of the city, because you are not somebody who believes in coexistence,” he continued.

“You’re somebody who tries to preach it, but in fact, you do everything but that,” he added.

BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales is floored by the mayor’s response.

“An American Christian going to a meeting, addressing the city council respectfully, was told by the Muslim mayor, ‘You’re not welcome here in America,’” Gonzales says.

“We’re going down a dark path, my friends, especially considering Dearborn City Council and school boards are now dominated by Muslim officials,” she continues.

“All the rest of us who are here, who love our values, who love our culture, who love our country, who love our founding principles, we’re all expected to give up our traditions,” she says. “But if you criticize that man’s mosque, you are a xenophobe. You are a bigot.”

The new U.S. House Jan. 6 select subcommittee is putting on a full-court press to recover the documents, videos, transcripts, and other information its predecessor Democrat-run Jan. 6 committee either discarded or otherwise failed to turn over for two successive GOP-led Jan. 6 investigations.

The new House Select Subcommittee to Investigate the Remaining Questions Surrounding January 6, 2021, sent out seven demand letters Thursday to the U.S. Department of Justice, the University of Virginia, and five other contract vendors that worked with the now-defunct Jan. 6 Select Committee appointed in 2022 by then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

‘To date, Representative Thompson has failed to account for the missing footage and data.’

“The failure of the former January 6th Select Committee to properly archive more than a terabyte of data not only violated House Rules, it undermined the integrity of their entire investigation,” Subcommittee Chairman U.S. Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Georgia) told Blaze News in a statement. “My select subcommittee is determined to uncover the videos, digital data, transcripts, and summaries the former committee hid from the American people.”

The biggest request was made to Attorney General Pam Bondi for what could be a mountain of data from the DOJ.

“To assist in our oversight, we respectfully request that you produce to the Select Subcommittee all materials provided by the Justice Department to the January 6th Select Committee in the 117th Congress,” Loudermilk wrote to Bondi, “including all documents and communications between or among the January 6th Select Committee and the Justice Department.”

The work of the GOP-led House Jan. 6 investigation in the 118th Congress was stymied by more than 1 terabyte of missing digital data, including video footage of depositions and witness interviews. Loudermilk said former Select Committee Co-Chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) conceded in a July 2023 letter that he withheld that information from materials put into the archive.

“To date, Representative Thompson has failed to account for the missing footage and data,” Loudermilk wrote.

A letter was sent to Design in DC LLC, which was paid more than $2 million by the select committee for consultant services. Loudermilk requested all video and audio received by the company pertaining to Jan. 6, “including but not limited to video recordings of witness interviews, transcribed interviews, and depositions,” the letter said. The “digital experiences” company provided website and application development, Loudermilk said.

Polar Solutions Inc. of Gaithersburg, Md., was also sent a letter requesting all materials from or to the Jan. 6 select committee. Polar was paid more than $2.7 million in contractor fees by the select committee. The company conducts financial investigations and provides management and training programs, Loudermilk said.

The same request was made of PATCtech of Plainfield, Indiana, which was paid more than $400,000 for providing “high-tech forensic services.”

“According to Denver Riggleman, a former representative and a former senior technical adviser for the January 6th Select Committee, PATCtech was instrumental in synthesizing and processing the vast amounts of telecommunications data collected and provided to the January 6th Select Committee,” Loudermilk wrote.

The letter asked for documents, transcripts, and cell data provided to the company by the select committee and any audio files and video footage of witness interviews or depositions.

Demand letters also went to Broadcast Management Group Inc. in Washington, D.C., which helped stage public hearings for national broadcast; Country World Productions, now part of Verbit in New York City, which provided stenographic reporting, closed-captioning services, and advertising; and the University of Virginia, paid $60,000 to help the committee map out telephone call data.

The DOJ and contract vendors were asked to submit all data to the select subcommittee by Oct. 2.

The new select subcommittee was appointed Sept. 11 by Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.). Republican members include Loudermilk, Rep. Morgan Griffith of Virginia, Rep. Troy Nehls of Texas, Rep. Clay Higgins of Louisiana, and Rep. Harriet Hageman of Wyoming.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) appointed members including Rep. Eric Swalwell of California, Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas, and Rep. Jared Moskowitz of Florida. Swalwell served on the previous Jan. 6 select committee in the 117th Congress.

A liberal arts college student is backtracking after she posted a video calling for more political assassinations and citing the influential thought of a murderous communist dictator.

Julia Xu said in the video posted on social media that not everyone is entitled to free speech and that some people should be afraid of speaking their opinions in public. She said she made the comments in class the day after the death of Kirk.

‘It just shows that white men will always empathize with the people who look like them.’

“We need to bring back political assassinations. I don’t feel bad, and I don’t think that everyone deserves the right to free speech,” Xu said in the video. “I think some people should be afraid to express their opinion in public.”

She went on to say that she had been studying about the 1949 communist takeover in China and how violent revolution liberated millions of people and millions of women. Xu quoted Chairman Mao for advocating that free speech should not be a right of the enemies of revolution like imperialists and capitalists.

“The worst thing that was said in that class was that it was a shame that Charlie Kirk died because he was such a huge figure in the right-wing movement, and now who will be left to debate?” she continued.

“Of course, everyone saying this, they were all male students. There were four or five male students,” Xu added.

“It just shows that white men will always empathize with the people who look like them,” she said.

The video was eventually deleted, but many versions were widely circulated on social media.

Xu is a supporter of Palestine, uses they/them pronouns, and is on the advisory board of a group that supports expanding queer, trans, and women’s studies at the school.

Xu has since said she did not mean to support political violence when she called for more political assassinations.

“I do not actually advocate for political assassinations. … I did not receive agreement from my professor or other students with the opinions I expressed in class, and it was wrong to imply this in my post,” she said in a statement to the New York Post.

“I do not condone political violence, and my comments were tactless,” she added.

Oberlin College President Carmen Twillie Ambar also gave the Post a statement rejecting Xu’s comments.

“Last week, in an open letter, I wrote ‘there is no place for political violence in the America that I love.’ It threatens our sense of safety and well-being and it violates the sanctity of the nation’s civil discourse,” Ambar wrote.

“I want to emphasize that the views expressed in the student’s post do not reflect those of the faculty member who teaches the class referenced,” she added. “Nor does the student’s post reflect the views of Oberlin College.”

Republicans in the U.S. Senate have confirmed 48 nominations from President Donald Trump that were being stalled by Democrats.

The motion to confirm the nominees passed in the U.S. Senate by a vote of 51 to 47.

‘We have tried to work with Democrats in good faith to batch bipartisan, noncontroversial nominees and clear them expeditiously, according to past precedent. Democrats have stood in the way at every turn.’

Republicans have been criticizing Democrats for slow-walking the nominations in order to slow down Trump’s political agenda.

“If the Senate had continued at the pace that we’ve been proceeding at through the month of July, there would still be hundreds of empty desks in the executive branch on President Trump’s last day in office in 2029,” said Republican Majority Leader John Thune of South Dakota on Thursday.

Among those nominations are Kimberly Guilfoyle, to become the ambassador to Greece, and Callista Gingrich, to become the ambassador to Switzerland. Guilfoyle is a former Fox News personality, and Gingrich is the wife of former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

A Republican aide told Blaze News that the motion was one that was originally proposed by Democratic Sens. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and Angus King of Maine in 2023. Without the rule change, the Senate would be forced to hold 600 roll-call votes rather than confirm them in one large batch.

“Republicans aren’t going to tolerate this obstruction any longer,” Thune said in an op-ed at Breitbart News. “We have tried to work with Democrats in good faith to batch bipartisan, noncontroversial nominees and clear them expeditiously, according to past precedent. Democrats have stood in the way at every turn.”

Republicans issued praise for the decision.

“[Senate Minority Leader] Chuck Schumer and Dems have delayed every single Trump nominee and have even forced our committee to vote on a number of nominees for a second time. The political games end here,” said Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Jim Risch (R-Idaho).

“Today, the Senate voted to confirm 48 of President Trump’s nominees. We aren’t going to stop until he has his entire team in place to serve the will of the American people,” said Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee.

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) previously criticized the move in a speech from the floor of Congress.

“One of the most important checks on executive power, given to the Senate in the Constitution, is the power of consent for nominees to high executive office. It prevents a president from installing in power unqualified or corrupt people,” he said.
