A diabolical sextortion scheme targeting “potentially several hundred” victims has been exposed, according to law enforcement in New York.

The months-long investigation began in February and focused on the Fieldstone Middle School, which is located in the Haverstraw hamlet of Thiells — just a little over 10 miles north of the New Jersey border and about an hour north of Yonkers.

Law enforcement said several alleged victims came forward to report the appalling allegations to school administrators.

The Stony Point Police Department said in a statement, “The investigation was launched after victims at Fieldstone Middle School reported to their school resource officer and school administrators that they were being coerced online.”

Police said “approximately six victims have come forward” but noted that investigators “have reason to believe there are potentially several hundred additional victims who may not yet have reported their experiences.”

Police said the alleged victims — males under the age of 16 — communicated with someone online who claimed to be a female, according to the New York Post.

“They were requested for pictures, videos of themselves, to be sent, and then they were requested that if they didn’t [send] more that the pictures and videos would be sent to their friend groups,” Det. Andrew Kryger of the Stony Point Police Department told WABC-TV.

What’s more, the news outlet reported that the “female” is actually a male who demanded payment in the form of gift cards for “typically less than $100.”

The alleged suspect of the sinister sextortion scam was out of the country when authorities identified him, but he recently returned to the U.S. — to attend Fieldstone Middle School in the fall, WABC reported.

The suspect — who was not identified because he’s underage — was charged with use of a child in a sexual performance, promoting a sexual performance by a child, and possessing a sexual performance by a child. All the charges are felonies.

“This case highlights both the serious dangers our children face online and the extraordinary bravery of students who came forward,” the Stony Point Police Department stated. “This crime is extremely serious and involves the victimization of students within our community.”

The Stony Point Police Department added that “police officials stress that sextortion is not only a local issue, but a global problem fueled by social media. Many parents may be unaware of the extent of these dangers. It is essential to create safe, judgment-free environments where children feel comfortable reporting concerns.”

The Stony Point Police Department, the Haverstraw Police Department, and the North Rockland School District plan to host a forum to provide parents and students with “resources on sextortion awareness.”

North Rockland Central School District Superintendent Kris Felicello advised parents, “Please encourage your children to come forward because there is certainly no shame in coming forward and bringing this to a trusted adult, so please let us know, let a trusted adult know.”

The memorial service for Charlie Kirk will commence on Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, and BlazeTV will be there.

The event is titled “Building a Legacy: Remembering Charlie Kirk,” and will begin at 11 a.m. local time, which is 2 p.m. ET.

The 31-year-old conservative activist was struck down by an assassin’s bullet while debating students at his national campus tour on Sept. 10 at Utah Valley University.

President Donald Trump will speak at the memorial, along with Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, and Vice President JD Vance.

Other speakers include White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Donald Trump Jr., Tucker Carlson, and White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.

BlazeTV will be covering the memorial service with video and attendee interviews on BlazeTV (24/7), as well as other platforms including Pluto, Facebook, X, and YouTube.

Also scheduled are Christian worship singers including Chris Tomlin, Brandon Lake, Phil Wickham, Kari Jobe Carnes, and Cody Carnes.

Those wishing to attend the memorial service in Arizona can register at the Turning Point USA website, but it is not a ticketed event; it is first come, first served. Some important information for those who want to attend:

“This event is first come, first served based on stadium capacity,” read a TPUSA statement. “Please be advised that enhanced security measures are in place, which may result in longer wait times than usual.”

State Farm Stadium is the home of the Arizona Cardinals football team and usually accommodates 63,400 attendees, but it can be expanded to 73,000. Law enforcement said that no drones are allowed in the area — if they see any drones, they will be taken out.

Erika Kirk gave her first public comments on Sept. 12, two days after the death of her husband.

“My husband laid down his life for me, for our nation, for our children,” she said tearfully.

“I will never, ever have the words to describe the loss that I feel in my heart. I honestly have no idea what any of this means. I know that God does, but I don’t.”

The revelation that “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” has been indefinitely suspended by ABC has Democrats in an uproar. Free speech is suddenly of the utmost importance to people like Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), Chris Hayes, Harry Sisson, and of, course, the late-night pontificator himself.

But a trip down memory lane exposes their hypocrisy. Just a couple of years ago, these same four people were reveling in the deplatforming of their political enemies.

Sara Gonzales, BlazeTV host of “Sara Gonzales Unfiltered,” has the receipts to prove it.

1. Senate’s sanctimonious squire

On September 17, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer appeared on CNN’s “OutFront with Erin Burnett” and bemoaned Kimmel’s suspension as anti-democratic.

“This is just despicable, disgusting, and against Democratic values. Trump and his allies seem to want to shut down speech that they don’t like to hear. That is not what democracies do. That is what autocracies do,” said the career swamp-dweller. “And it doesn’t matter whether you agree with Kimmel or not. He has the right to free speech. … This is what dictators do. This is what Xi [Jinping] would do. This is what Putin would do.”

But just two years earlier, Schumer was more than happy to urge Fox News to fire Tucker Carlson for sharing his opinions.

“Rupert Murdoch, who has admitted they were lies and said he regretted it, has a special obligation to stop Tucker Carlson from going on tonight now that he’s seen how he has perverted and slimed the truth. … Not because their views deserve such opprobrium, but because our democracy depends on it,” he said.

“Oh! Our democracy depends on shutting people up except when they’re our people, and then it’s unheard of,” mocks Sara.

2. Cable’s crocodile-tear crusader

MSNBC’s Chris Hayes also lamented Kimmel’s suspension. On September 17, the bespectacled ideologue whined about Trump: “ABC made the announcement that Kimmel would indeed be taken off the air indefinitely, and this is just the latest chapter in Donald Trump’s ongoing campaign to crack down on free speech, dominate the media, and essentially render the First Amendment meaningless.”

But in 2023, Hayes, like Schumer, celebrated Tucker’s ousting. “So it was for the journeyman cable news host Tucker Carlson just fired from his third network. He believed he could say anything no matter how vile, no matter how disgusting, no matter how offensive, no matter how dehumanizing or belittling, and if you act like a sociopath over and over and over and over, you will become unpopular on the national stage.”

“Yeah, if you immediately spew a bunch of lies and incorrect and false rhetoric about an innocent man who was publicly executed in front of a bunch of college kids, you’re probably a sociopath who deserves to be deplatformed,” says Sara.

3. Gen Z’s waffling wonderkid

22-year-old Democrat activist Harry Sisson is fitting right in with his party’s selective outrage. The TikTok soapboxer’s recent X post lamenting Kimmel’s suspension as an attack on free speech starkly contrasts with his 2022 glee over Trump’s Twitter ban.

“We are witnessing the most brazen attack on free speech in modern American history?” asks Sara, quoting Sisson’s recent X post. “I would say that that was when Charlie Kirk got killed for speaking. I would say that that’s when Charlie Kirk got a bullet in his neck and died. I would call that the most brazen attack on free speech in modern American history.”

4. Hollywood’s smirking sellout

And last but certainly not least, Jimmy Kimmel ironically celebrated Tucker Carlson’s departure from Fox News.

“Fox News has severed bow ties with Tucker Carlson after all these years. They are parting ways, which means he was fired,” Kimmel smugly chimed.

“He’s already on a plane to Moscow to meet with his manager. But what a shock. I mean, what an absolutely delightful shock this is. … Sadly, he’s probably not done poisoning old people’s brains. The question now is where will he do it next? Will he go to OAN? Will he go to Newsmax? Will he crawl back up Satan’s fiery B-hole from whence he came? We don’t know. One of the most despicable mothertuckers ever to appear on American television.”

Now, with his own show silenced, Kimmel must be choking on a heaping serving of crow. Turns out deplatforming tastes a lot less funny when it’s your punch line that’s getting canceled.

“These people are so ghoulish. … They don’t care about the First Amendment. They don’t care about free speech. These are the same people who were perfectly fine with the Biden regime going in and telling Mark Zuckerberg over at Facebook ‘you need to censor these people’s posts.’”

As immigration detention centers sprout up over the country and deportations continue, the Trump administration is setting its sights on another important immigration issue: H-1B visas.

According to a Bloomberg report, Trump plans to sign a proclamation as early as Friday that would overhaul the H-1B visa program, one of the most heavily exploited visa programs in the government.

155,205 out of 189,404 H-1B cases originated from India.

Citing a White House official, the report details that the proclamation would add a $100,000 fee to H-1B visa applications. The official added that the proclamation would restrict entry under the H-1B program unless accompanied by the payment.

The H-1B visa program has famously been known to pull heavily from India and is exploited disproportionately in the technology sector of the economy. The official stated that the proclamation would be in place in order to stop the flow of H-1B workers, who have undercut the American worker.

According to available government data from roughly the past five years, 155,205 out of 189,404 H-1B cases originated from India. China came in second place at 28,969 visas.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed the report on X, posting a link to the Bloomberg article with its headline, “Trump to Add New $100,000 Fee for H-1B Visas in Latest Crackdown,” as the caption.

Fees directly tied to the H-1B visa application are, per Bloomberg, rather “modest.” The fee to register for the lottery is just $215, and while other fees can sometimes bring the total to as much as $10,000, those costs are almost always borne by the employer.

In tandem with the proclamation, Trump is expected to order Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer to further overhaul the visa program to root out fraud and abuse in the current system.

The Oversight Project is unleashing a new campaign to urge the FBI to declare transgender ideology, motivated violence, and extremism as domestic terrorism — and Mike Howell, president of the Oversight Project, believes the move couldn’t be more necessary.

“It’s a terrible and growing sustained trend in American life right now. The transgender ideology-inspired violence and extremism is now domestic terrorism,” Howell tells BlazeTV host Jill Savage on “Blaze News: The Mandate.”

To best explain the phenomena, Howell believes one must “go back 10 years.”

“When then-candidate Trump was running for president, one of his chief criticisms of then-President Obama was that Obama refused to say the words ‘radical Islamic extremism.’ So Trump took him to task over and over again,” Howell explains.

According to Howell, Trump was essentially making the case “that if you can’t define the enemy, you cannot defeat the enemy.”

“President Trump was right then, but now there’s another enemy on the scene. And it’s beyond obvious that transgender ideology is inspiring a very specific type of domestic terrorism,” he says.

This has been made abundantly clear via recent school shootings and, even more recently, through the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

“My colleague Roger Severino has an estimate out there: 50% of school mass shootings over the last 10 years have come from transgender ideologically motivated individuals. These are people who believe that if you do not affirm their gender identity or whatever their delusions are, that you are harming them physically, that it is a violent event,” he explains.

“Therefore, in their minds, their illogical and mentally ill minds, they can justify their own violence against others,” he says, adding, “That is a specific form of domestic terrorism that we’re seeing emerge, and it is time for the government to diagnose this.”

A network of liberal nonprofits and charities is in panic mode after several statements from President Donald Trump and his allies signal that they will use the power of the government to seek out and crush the political opposition.

A letter from liberal activist Norm Eisen of the Democracy Defenders Action sounded the alarm to the nonprofits about the threat and asked groups to sign a statement in defense of each other. The letter was published by the Free Press.

‘This moment of tragedy does not call for exploiting a horrific act to further deepen our divides and make us less safe. It calls for unity — unity against violence and unity of purpose as Americans.’

“We the undersigned unequivocally condemn the murder of Charlie Kirk and all forms of political violence. There is simply no place for such actions in the United States,” the letter read.

“Political violence has targeted those of every political persuasion and of no political persuasion,” the letter continued. “It is un-American and wrong to use this act of violence as a pretext for weaponizing the government to threaten nonprofit and charitable organizations, other perceived adversaries, or any class of people. They did not commit this murder, and the vast powers of the government should not be abused to threaten their constitutionally protected free speech and other rights.”

A U.S. official at the Department of Justice told the Free Press that officials are more eager to seek out leftist groups after the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Trump has said that the government will investigate whether leftist billionaire George Soros has been funding radical left-wing protests.

Eisen went on in the letter to defend the efforts of nonprofits as productive and positive.

“Nonprofit and charitable organizations support critical services to our nation — working with faith communities, caring for vulnerable populations, upholding the Constitution, defending the rule of law and much more. Attacks on nonprofits and charities threaten that essential work happening everywhere across our country,” he wrote.

“We implore the government to cease its escalation of political division, and stop the unjustified targeting of organizations and people in the wake of this terrible act of political violence,” he added. “This moment of tragedy does not call for exploiting a horrific act to further deepen our divides and make us less safe. It calls for unity — unity against violence and unity of purpose as Americans.”

The president has already taken action in the effort to root out liberal political groups.

On Wednesday, Trump said Antifa, which he described as a “SICK, DANGEROUS, RADICAL LEFT DISASTER,” would be designated as a “MAJOR TERRORIST ORGANIZATION.”

He added that he would strongly recommend “those funding ANTIFA be thoroughly investigated in accordance with the highest legal standards and practices.”

Legal documents show that federal authorities knew the man who tried to kill Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh identifies as a transgender person.

Online posts by Nicholas John Roske had previously hinted at his gender confusion, as reported by Blaze News three years ago, but new documents obtained by the Daily Wire confirm that he is a member of the LGBTQ+ movement.

‘This attempt against the life of a Supreme Court Justice was an attack on the entire judicial system that cannot go unpunished.’

In June 2022, Roske was caught by police officers carrying a bag of weapons and burglary tools near Kavanaugh’s home after he was turned away by the presence of security guards. He admitted that the leaked draft version of a Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade had spurred him to action against the conservative justice.

Three years later in April, the man pleaded guilty to attempted murder and now faces the possibility of life in prison.

The documents obtained by the Daily Wire show that Roske’s defense attorneys notified the court that he now goes by “Sophie Roske” and that his legal team will use his preferred female pronouns.

“The case is captioned as United States v. Nicholas John Roske,” his attorneys wrote. “That name remains Ms. Roske’s legal name, and she has not asked to recaption the case. Out of respect for Ms. Roske, the balance of this pleading and counsel’s in-court argument will refer to her as Sophie and use female pronouns.”

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi released a statement about the trans-identity development.

“This attempt against the life of a Supreme Court Justice was an attack on the entire judicial system that cannot go unpunished,” Bondi said to the Daily Wire. “This Department of Justice condemns political violence and our prosecutors will ensure that this disturbed individual faces severe consequences for his deranged actions.”

Attorneys for the Justice Dept. argued that Roske deserves a sentence of no less than 30 years in prison.

One of the co-founders of Ben & Jerry’s has quit, claiming that the ice cream maker has been “silenced” by the parent company.

Ben & Jerry’s co-founder Jerry Greenfield has resigned from the company because he was being “muzzled” by Unilever and the Magnum Ice Cream Company.

‘Standing up for the values of justice, equity, and our shared humanity has never been more important, and yet Ben & Jerry’s has been silenced, sidelined for fear of upsetting those in power.’

“It’s with a broken heart that I’ve decided I can no longer, in good conscience, and after 47 years, remain an employee of Ben & Jerry’s,” said a statement released on the X social media platform.

“I am resigning from the company Ben and I started back in 1978. This is one of the hardest and most painful decisions I’ve ever made,” the statement from Greenfield began. “This isn’t because I’ve lost my love for the people at Ben & Jerry’s. Quite the opposite.”

Greenfield claimed that Unilever promised to allow the progressive ice cream brand to continue to spout social justice talking points.

According to CNN, “British-based Unilever bought Ben & Jerry’s ice cream for $326 million in 2000 but allowed the company to operate independently and continue its social mission without interference from its new parent company.”

Greenfield said that he and his partner, Ben Cohen, “stood up and spoke out in support of peace, justice, and human rights, not as abstract concepts, but in relation to real events happening in our world.”

However, the co-founder now claims that their independence has been taken away, which has been “profoundly disappointing.”

Greenfield asserted, “And it’s happening at a time when our country’s current administration is attacking civil rights, voting rights, the rights of immigrants, women, and the LGBTQ community.”

“Standing up for the values of justice, equity, and our shared humanity has never been more important, and yet Ben & Jerry’s has been silenced, sidelined for fear of upsetting those in power,” he continued. “It’s easy to stand up and speak out when there’s nothing at risk. The real test of values is when times are challenging and you have something to lose.”

Greenfield added, “Love, equity, justice. They’re part of who Ben and I are, and they’ve always been the true foundation of Ben & Jerry’s. From the very beginning, Ben and I believed that our values and the pursuit of justice were more important than the company itself. If the company couldn’t stand up for the things we believed, then it wasn’t worth being a company at all.”

“It was always about more than just ice cream; it was a way to spread love and invite others into the fight for equity, justice, and a better world,” he said.

“Coming to the conclusion that this is no longer possible at Ben & Jerry’s means I can no longer remain part of Ben & Jerry’s,” Greenfield concluded. “If I can’t carry those values forward inside the company today, then I will carry them forward outside, with all the love and conviction I can.”

Cohen added, “After 47 years, Jerry has made the difficult decision to step down from the company we built together. I’m sharing his words as he resigns from Ben & Jerry’s. His legacy deserves to be true to our values, not silenced by Magnum Global.”

Cohen also demanded that Ben & Jerry’s be “free” to speak out on political and social issues.

Cohen told NBC News, “Jerry has a really big heart. This conflict with Unilever has been tearing him apart for quite some time now. I think this is the right move for Jerry.”

“Jerry felt like the values are getting muzzled by Unilever and now Magnum, and he couldn’t stand it. So he’s decided to resign,” Cohen stated.

CNBC reported, “A Unilever spokesperson said the company disagreed with Greenfield’s perspective and that it had sought to ‘engage both co-founders in a constructive conversation on how to strengthen Ben & Jerry’s powerful values-based position.'”

The Unilever spokesperson stated, “We remain committed to Ben & Jerry’s unique three-part mission — product, economic, and social — and remain focused on carrying forward the legacy of peace, love, and ice cream of this iconic, much-loved brand. Ben & Jerry’s is a proud and thriving part of the Magnum Ice Cream Company, and we look forward to further building on its success.”

The Magnum Ice Cream Company has already begun the process of separating from Unilever, and the demerger process is expected to be completed by mid-November 2025.

Besides being progressive mouthpieces, Greenfield and Cohen have been outspoken critics of Israel.

As Blaze News reported in July 2021, the Vermont-based ice cream company proclaimed that its ice cream would no longer be sold in “Occupied Palestinian Territory” belonging to Israel.

Charlie Kirk’s memorial hasn’t even happened yet, and already the left has found its own martyr in Jimmy Kimmel. The late night “comedy” show, which had already seen its ratings fall to abysmal levels, was suspended after Kimmel’s hateful and inaccurate remark about Charlie Kirk’s alleged murderer, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, being a member of the “MAGA gang.” He also accused Republicans of politicizing the tragedy to “score political points.”

“It says an awful lot about the left that they’re so concerned about Jimmy Kimmel, and now Jimmy Kimmel is the victim in this Charlie Kirk thing,” says Glenn Beck, calling it “gross and offensive.”

But instead of apologizing for spreading a categorically false statement (Robinson’s own family has confirmed his radical leftism), Kimmel is apparently going to “double down” on his political commentary at a new job.

What we are experiencing is a “great sifting,” says Glenn. “You now know who the people are that celebrate death.”

The latest example, of course, is the ghouls cheering Charlie Kirk’s assassination, but they’ve shown their true colors many times before. Whether it was Hamas’ brutal slaughtering of innocent people on October 7, the monsters behind “shout your abortion” and similar pro-choice campaigns, the countless people who heroized Luigi Mangione for allegedly murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, or the cold-blooded fiends who lamented that Thomas Matthew Crooks’ bullet missed its mark, there’s no denying the stark line in the sand between them and us.

While this sorting is scary, Glenn says it’s ultimately a positive thing. “I’d like to know those who are so misguided, so misinformed, and so on the wrong track that they have made me an enemy. They’re not my enemies. They’re enemies of God and God’s principles in freedom, and God will sort all that out. We just have to stand up for what we know is right and never ever give in,” he says.

As lies circulate — like the recent rumor that Charlie’s own people killed him — we need to be armed with the truth. “You just have to speak the truth relentlessly and with peace because they will certainly destroy themselves in their arrogance.”

Anti-ICE protesters were back outside the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement processing facility located near Chicago in Broadview, Illinois, on Friday. Tensions in the metro area are higher since Operation Midway Blitz, the Trump administration’s enhanced crackdown in Chicago, is now fully underway.

Similar to the previous week, the crowd blocked road access to the ICE site, forcing ICE’s Special Response Team and Border Patrol agents to move people away to allow vehicles to leave the scene.

One man allegedly threw a tear gas canister, and another person allegedly bum-rushed the agents arresting the first man.

Among the agitators were Democratic House candidates Daniel Biss and Kat Abughazaleh, who are running to replace outgoing Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Il.) in the 9th congressional district. Biss is the current mayor of Evanston, and Abughazaleh used to work for far-left media watchdog group Media Matters for America.

A video posted by Biss shows he was active in the crowd’s attempt to use their bodies to stop a federal vehicle from leaving the facility’s driveway. Tear gas and pepper balls were used by federal agents to clear the road.

“We. will. not. be. intimidated,” Biss further posted on X.

Abughazaleh posted video from earlier in the morning when a federal agent was forced to haul her away from the driveway after she refused to move. Abughazaleh then appeared to slip and landed on the ground with a tremendous thud.

“This is what it looks like when ICE violates our First Amendment rights,” Abughazaleh whined.

“What ICE just did to me was a violent abuse of power — and it’s still nothing compared to what they’re doing to immigrant communities. I’ve been fighting the right as a journalist and now I’m running for Congress to do the same in D.C.,” Abughazaleh continued before posting a link for people to donate to her campaign.

The Department of Homeland Security did not respond to a request for comment in time for publication.

Unlike last week when Blaze News was present for protests, federal agents on Friday took at least two rioters into custody. One man allegedly threw a tear gas canister, and another person allegedly bum-rushed the agents arresting the first man.

He knows how much his country needs him, and it couldn’t wait until Monday. Bless his heart.

And, in the process, Stewart bumped the person who was slated to sit in the anchor chair. That’s Desi Lydic, who just won her second Emmy mere days ago for her work on the show.

Must be nice to be a progressive hero who can mansplain to a successful woman why he needs to take the big seat at a moment’s notice …

Rainning it in

Dwight keeps making sense.

Actor Rainn Wilson from “The Office” is a curious figure in Hollywood. He’s spiritual, but not a Christian. He’s left of center, but not someone decrying the rise of “fascism” every five minutes.

And most shocking of all, he’s aghast that some of his fellow liberals have souls so small you can’t see them without a microscope.

Wilson shared the reaction he saw from some fellow liberals after they learned that conservative icon Charlie Kirk was murdered by a leftist. We’ll let him share more:

I spoke to a couple of — let’s say liberal friends — at an event … and they were like, ‘You won’t find me shedding any tears.’

It was a little bit of a good-riddance thing, and it’s like, ‘Guys, NO!’

We cannot think or talk that way. That is not OK.”

He’s right, but it’s often the norm on the far-left side of the aisle, alas …

Mostly piecemeal protests

Variety’s photo editors got a workout this week.

Kimmel’s firing sparked a passionate protest outside Disney offices in New York and Burbank, or so we were told. The scribe assigned to the story used all the rhetorical tricks possible to play up the outrage, with foreboding phrasing like “Disney faced the consequences of its decision …” and “The crowds slammed ABC, Disney, and Brendan Carr.”

The images told the real story – tightly cropped photographs that hid the scope of the protests. This story mentioned 200 people. A separate story said 300 people showed up.

Disney is quaking in its boots, no doubt. The walls are most certainly closing in …

‘Imagine’ there’s no audience

Here we go again.

Remember all those celebrity videos where the stars assembled for the current thing? No makeup. Robotic phrase repetition. Faces you’ve never seen before among some legit stars. Exhausting.

The worst of the worst? The BLM-era “I Take Responsibility” cringe-fest featuring Aaron Paul, Kristen Bell, and Stanley Tucci.

Et tu, Stanley?

That Gal Gadot “Imagine” sing-along during the pandemic was a close second. Even liberals loathed that one, offering a rare moment of bipartisan agreement.

Maybe that’s why we didn’t get many, if any, during the 2024 presidential campaign.

But now? They’re ba-ack.

Risk? Being pro-Palestine is the trendiest thing to do in celebrity circles. Shout “Free Palestine” and expect your agent’s phone to buzz and buzz.

Cheno-wimp out

Try sharing some heartfelt thoughts for the late Charlie Kirk. Wait: Kristin Chenoweth did just that, and she had to quasi-backpedal later.

I’m sorry if emotion gets involved here, forgive me. I saw what happened online with my own eyes, and I had a human moment of reflection right then. I came to understand that my comment hurt some folks, and that hurt me so badly. I would never. It’s no secret that I’m a Christian, that I’m a person of faith. It’s also no secret that I am an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, and for some, that doesn’t go together. But for me, it always has and it always will.

Here’s a thought: Why not grieve the death of a father and husband, gunned down in cold blood in front of his wife and daughter, without feeling the need to explain yourself to the raging, unhinged leftists who follow you on social media?

For a Hollywood star like Chenoweth, that would be speaking truth to power.

While Jimmy Kimmel looks for something to do on Friday night, many of the television stations that used to broadcast his suspended show will instead air a tribute to Charlie Kirk.

‘Mr. Kimmel’s remarks were inappropriate and deeply insensitive at a critical moment for our country.’

The Sinclair Broadcast Group is the largest owner of ABC-affiliated stations, 30 in all, and it is behind the push to show a Kirk tribute.

A statement from Sinclair said that all of its stations will air the tribute in Kimmel’s time slot and that it would offer the tribute to other ABC stations as well.

After finding whether there is a local station in your area, go to the station’s website to find the specific time and channel for the tribute on that station. For most stations, the Kirk tribute will air at 11:30 p.m. ET.

The tribute might be available on non-Sinclair ABC stations. You can find your local ABC station here.

For instance, the website for ABC 10 in Sacramento has a page for television listings for that station here. Scrolling to 8:30 p.m. PT, there is no tribute scheduled yet for that station.

Sinclair Vice Chairman Jason Smith released a statement explaining the company’s objection to Kimmel’s comments about the Kirk assassination.

“Mr. Kimmel’s remarks were inappropriate and deeply insensitive at a critical moment for our country,” said Smith.

“We believe broadcasters have a responsibility to educate and elevate respectful, constructive dialogue in our communities,” he added. “We appreciate FCC Chairman [Brendan] Carr’s remarks today, and this incident highlights the critical need for the FCC to take immediate regulatory action to address control held over local broadcasters by the big national networks.”

The company said it would not lift the suspension of the show until Kimmel apologized and gave a “meaningful personal donation” to the Kirk family as well as Turning Point USA, the advocacy group Kirk founded.

“Regardless of ABC’s plans for the future of the program, Sinclair intends not to return ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ to our air until we are confident that appropriate steps have been taken to uphold the standards expected of a national broadcast platform,” Sinclair added.

On the rare occasions I can face visiting London these days, I always make sure to stop in at Banya No.1 in Hoxton. From the outside, it’s unprepossessing — just another modern block with a buzzer door — but when you get inside and go downstairs, it’s like you’ve been transported beyond the new Iron Curtain to Moscow or St. Petersburg or Novgorod.

It’s a proper Russian spa — a banya — complete with sauna, huge wooden-barrel plunge pool, freezing showers, treatment rooms with tables, and even a little cafe where you can sit and gobble pelmeni (delicious little stuffed dumplings) or have a hearty bowl of borscht (beetroot stew with meat).

Sauna treatment has been used, with great success, to treat police officers suffering chronic health issues as a result of repeated exposure to methamphetamine, for example.

And, of course, there are the staff, all of whom are authentic Russki, from the charming girls on the desk to the sullen myrmidons who patrol the saunas and abuse you with various implements for an extra fee — although you get the feeling they’d happily abuse you without payment too.

It’s a shame, but also a blessing, that I don’t live close to London. I’d be at Banya No. 1 all the time. If money were no object, I’d recreate it at home. I’d have a fragrant cedar-clad sauna with a big brick oven in it, and I’d pay a couple of former goons from the vory v zakone called Andrei and Pavel to keep the wood burning and beat me with birch twigs and scour me with Siberian pine tar to my heart’s content. Heaven.

I’d do this not just because it’s fun and a potent way to reduce stress — and we could all do with a bit less of that right now — but also because going to the spa is good for you in other ways.

Toxic baste

You’ve probably heard talk of the detoxification benefits of sauna before. They’re very real, and as I try to impress on my readers as much as I can, we all need to be detoxing our bodies. We’re constantly exposed to harmful chemicals in our daily lives, and anything we can do to reduce the amounts that get into and accumulate in our bodies is a good thing.

Sweating is one of the principal routes for harmful chemicals to leave our bodies, as well as in our urine and feces and when we lose (or give) blood. Particular chemicals, such as bisphenol A (BPA), a plasticizer with endocrine-disrupting effects, are generally found in greater quantities in our sweat than in our urine or blood, which is a clear sign that sweating is the main way our bodies dispose of them.

Sauna treatment has been used, with great success, to treat police officers suffering chronic health issues as a result of repeated exposure to methamphetamine, for example. It’s being trialed as a treatment for a range of other health conditions.

Fat chance

Sweating appears to be particularly effective for detoxification when combined with fasting or a calorie-restricted diet. Rodent studies show that being in a fasted or dieting state pushes harmful chemicals out of the body’s diminishing fat stores and toward the skin, where they can then be sweated off.

Many harmful chemicals are lipophilic, and as a result, when they get into our bodies, they end up in our fat stores. That’s actually one of the many important functions of fat — as a kind of vault for harmful chemicals, to seal them away and keep them out of other tissues — and it’s probably why a reliable effect of regular exposure to harmful chemicals is to put on fat. It’s a protection mechanism.

(This is also probably one of the reasons why celebrities who go on drugs like Ozempic end up looking so terrible, even when they lose loads of weight — search for before-and-after pictures of podcaster Ethan Klein if you don’t want to sleep tonight. Because of their terrible diets and lifestyles, fat people have enormous stores of toxic chemicals in their bodies, and if they suddenly lose weight with Ozempic or Mounjaro or whatever, their tissues are flooded with them. This could actually be quite dangerous, and it’s one of the many reasons you should prefer traditional methods of weight loss — exercise and changes to diet — over these new drugs when possible.)

Hot air

If you want to sauna regularly, you have various options. Of course, you can join a gym or health club with a sauna. That’s easy enough. If you want to sauna at home and you’ve got space in your garden, you can get a wooden barrel sauna for a few thousand dollars or convert a shed or outbuilding. You’ll find plenty of good guides online for building your own sauna.

If you don’t want to build a permanent structure, you could go the Native American route and build a little sweat lodge in your garden with a tent and some rocks. Dig a hole, put a tent (preferably canvas) over it, fill the tent with hot rocks heated on a fire, sit inside the tent, and pour water on the rocks. Voila: steam in a confined space. A sauna. Again, you’ll find helpful tutorials all over the internet.

There are also infrared sauna kits that can be used indoors and folded away and stored easily if you don’t have a great deal of space. They’re pretty reasonable.

But there may also be an even simpler and cheaper option. Just have a hot bath.

Tub-thumping

Yes: A hot bath probably confers all the benefits of a sauna. In fact, it may even be more effective at boosting your health than a sauna, according to a new study I wrote about recently on my Substack. It’s worth noting that the study didn’t compare the detoxification effects of baths and saunas due to sweating, but if you’ve ever sat in a hot bath, you’ll know you sweat plenty. Sweating takes place underwater, too, but you just don’t feel it.

What the new study does show is that hot baths offer superior metabolic, cardiac, and immune benefits to saunas, in large part because the heating effect of being immersed in hot water is much, much greater than sitting in a heated enclosure. Water conducts heat 24 times more efficiently than air, and your whole body — or most of it — is in direct contact with the water the entire time.

Save our swimmers

I have one caution about hot baths, though, and it’s for my male readers. Protect the family jewels. Boiling them is even worse than toasting them (see my note about testicular tanning in a previous installment).

Why? Heating the testicles is associated with reduced fertility, whether as a result of working in a furnace or as a welder, or through taking regular hot baths or saunas. The effects can be long-lasting, even after just a single session.

One study from the 1960s showed that it takes between 10 and 12 weeks for sperm counts to return to normal after just 30 minutes of intense scrotal heating. If you’re going to take regular hot baths as a man, I’d recommend keeping your testicles out of the water, however you see fit. You can arch your back a little bit, or you can put some ice on your balls in a flannel or use a proper ice pack.

The House has passed a resolution honoring Charlie Kirk’s legacy and condemning his horrific assassination. Although the resolution garnered bipartisan support, dozens of Democrats couldn’t bring themselves to honor Kirk.

The resolution passed in a 310-58 vote, with 95 Democrats joining 210 Republicans to commemorate the conservative activist. That being said, 38 Democrats voted present, 22 didn’t vote at all, and 58 voted against the resolution all together.

‘The Democrat party is clearly so morally bankrupt that many of them have lost all sense of decency.’

Notably, the House unanimously passed a resolution condemning the assassination of Minnesota state Rep. Melissa Hortman, a Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party member who was brutally gunned down in her home in June.

Despite unifying behind their fellow Democrats like Hortman, House progressives like Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan refused to formally condemn Kirk’s assassination.

“Their silence spoke volumes,” Republican Rep. Claudia Tenney of New York said in a post on X. “Americans won’t forget.”

“The Democrat party is clearly so morally bankrupt that many of them have lost all sense of decency,” Majority Whip Tom Emmer of Minnesota said in a post on X. “Absolutely shameful.”

Late-night talk show hosts reacted to the suspension of their peer, Jimmy Kimmel, from his Disney-operated show.

Kimmel’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” was indefinitely taken off the air following his claims that Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin was a President Trump supporter.

‘Americans are free to express any opinion we want.’

“… the MAGA gang desperately [is] trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said on Monday.

Nexstar Media Group and Sinclair soon announced they would pull the show from their feeds, and ABC subsequently suspended the production.

Thursday night, the three other top late-night hosts provided their reaction to Kimmel’s suspension, which resulted in an awful display of either coordination or parallel thinking.

Jon Stewart’s “The Daily Show” was the first to air at 11 p.m. ET. After Stewart joked that “some people” would say the Trump administration was coldly “consolidating power” and using “intimidation” to silence people, he sarcastically added, “not me, though; I think it’s great.”

Stewart then went over to his diverse cast of seven reporters/fill-in hosts, whom he asked, “Is Donald Trump stifling free speech?”

In unison, they all answered in monotone, “Of course not, Jon. Americans are free to express any opinion we want.”

Unfortunately, this predictable sketch was then replicated by host Jimmy Fallon just minutes later.

“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” which airs at 11:35 p.m., wasted no time covering the Kimmel debacle. In his opening monologue, Fallon referred to Kimmel and said, “A lot of people are worried that we won’t keep saying what we want to say or that we’ll be censored.”

But the comedian assured his audience that he would “cover the president’s trip to the U.K. just like I normally would.”

Fallon then began giving a report, which was interrupted by voice-overs that were complimentary to Trump. For example, Fallon said, “President Trump just wrapped up his three-day trip to the U.K., and —” with the voice-over finishing the remark with “looked incredibly handsome.”

This continued before Fallon repeatedly, and painfully, inserted Trump and “Epstein files” into more jokes about the president’s trip to the U.K.

If audiences still weren’t tired, they could simply endure the rest of Fallon’s show to get another nearly identical bit from Seth Meyers an hour later.

At 12:35 a.m., the “Late Night with Seth Meyers” host said the Trump administration is “pursuing a crackdown on free speech,” before switching gears and sarcastically saying, “I’ve always admired and respected Mr. Trump.”

“I’ve always believed he was a visionary, a [sic] innovator, a great president, and even better golfer,” he went on.

Meyers continued, “If you’ve ever seen me say anything negative about him, that’s just AI.”

The repetition of the similar bits across the three shows was only overshadowed by how quickly they happened. With Stewart’s monologue getting into its sketch about 20 minutes into the program, that places Fallon’s mirrored monologue just 15 minutes later. Then, audiences got to see the same comedy bit recited an hour later on the same network.

In an awkward display of the show’s true bias, Meyers’ Thursday episode also featured a drag queen who goes by the name “Jinkx Monsoon,” who identifies as “trans-femme.”

Hilariously, Meyers repeatedly referred to the actor — whose real name is Jerick Hoffer — as a woman.

For over a week and a half, Texas A&M’s president has been under fire for his now-viral behavior — caught on video — talking to a student who objected to the gender ideology taught in a children’s literature class. Now, the president is facing the music.

Texas A&M President Mark A. Welsh III will step down on Friday following a deepening controversy involving former gender studies senior lecturer Melissa McCoul. McCoul was using course materials including the Trans Student Educational Resources “Gender Unicorn,” a visual graphic suggesting that gender identity and gender expression are distinct from sex and that there are other sexes besides male, female, and intersex.

‘His ambivalence on the issue and his dismissal of the student’s concerns by immediately taking the side of the professor is unacceptable.’

After a whistleblower shared objectionable course materials and video of her exchange with McCoul and with Welsh, she demanded to the president’s face that the lecturer be fired. Texas state Rep. Brian Harrison (R) amplified the issue on social media after he became aware of what the student was fighting against.

“It took tremendous courage for a relatively young lady to stand up to an authority figure alone as a sole voice in that class — to somebody who had the potential to fail her, to harm her professionally,” Harrison told Blaze News. “And she had the courage not just to stand up to the professor but to take her concerns all the way to the president of the university and to have the foresight to record him.”

Although McCoul was fired on September 9, a day after Harrison shared the incident on X, many have insisted that there was a deeper rot that needed to be removed, starting with Welsh.

“His ambivalence on the issue and his dismissal of the student’s concerns by immediately taking the side of the professor is unacceptable,” Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick (R) said on X. “Most parents, students, and Aggie alumni expect Texas A&M to reflect the values of our state and our nation as well as A&M’s rich history. If President Welsh will not or cannot reflect those values, then change needs to happen.”

Rep. Harrison celebrated Welsh’s resignation in a Thursday evening X post: “WE DID IT! TEXAS A&M PRESIDENT IS OUT!! Another MASSIVE victory for the LIBERTY BOTS against the Austin Swamp Rats! As the first elected official to call for him to be fired, this news is welcome, although overdue.”

With an eye to the future, Harrison added, “Now … END ALL DEI AND LGBTQ INDOCTRINATION IN TEXAS!!”

Board Chair Robert Albritton said regents will appoint an interim president and initiate a national search for a permanent president “in the coming days,” according to WFAA.

The House narrowly passed a short-term funding bill that keeps the government open and boosts funding for security for government officials in light of Charlie Kirk’s atrocious assassination.

The GOP-led continuing resolution is a slim 91-page bill that keeps the lights on through November 21. In accordance with the White House request, the bill also includes spending anomalies that increase funding for security, allocating $30 million for Congress, $30 million for the executive branch, and $28 million for the judicial branch, totaling $88 million.

‘Republicans are doing the actual work of governing.’

The CR passed the House Friday morning in a 217-212 vote, with Republican Reps. Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Victoria Spartz of Indiana bucking their party.

Just one Democrat, Rep. Jared Golden of Maine, joined 216 Republicans to keep the government open before the September 30 funding deadline.

“House Republicans passed a clean continuing resolution that preserves President Trump’s rescissions and keeps the government funded while we work to finalize conservative full-year appropriations bills and return to regular order that will deliver real results for the American people,” Republican Study Committee Chairman August Pfluger (Texas) said.

“Now the Senate must act swiftly to pass this CR and avoid the costly disruption of a government shutdown. House Republicans are doing the actual work of governing while Democrats demand a progressive reckless wish list instead of working with us to put Americans’ priorities first.”

Although one Democrat eventually aided Republicans in passing the continuing resolution, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) is still digging his heels in.

Schumer and his Democrat colleagues are insistent that the Republican-led funding bill will push the government to shut down. Democrats even proposed their own funding alternative that boasts a hefty $1.5 trillion price tag, including a continuation of $350 billion worth of Biden-era subsidies, funneling millions to illegal aliens and left-wing organizations, and reversing billions of dollars in spending cuts Congress already codified.

Despite Democrats’ grandstanding, the Republicans’ resolution is headed to the Senate and is expected to sail through sometime next week.

The left is in an uproar, accusing conservatives of pushing Jimmy Kimmel off the air and of hypocritically undermining their own First Amendment principles.

Yet, Kimmel’s exit was driven by a fed-up network responding to market forces. The left has looked the other way when conservative outlets battled federally funded censorship campaigns targeting their voices, including as recently as December 2024.

The now-defunct Global Engagement Center, a subdivision of the State Department, was formed under the Obama administration and tasked with the mission “to recognize, understand, expose, and counter foreign state and non-state propaganda and disinformation efforts aimed at undermining or influencing the policies, security, or stability of the United States, its allies, and partner nations.”

While the GEC was initially created to protect Americans from “disinformation” from other countries, it was used against several American media outlets, including Blaze Media.

Under the Biden administration, the GEC expanded its so-called disinformation efforts, partnering with the Global Disinformation Index, a United Kingdom-based nonprofit. GDI claims to provide “independent, neutral, and transparent data and intelligence to advise policymakers and business leaders about how to combat disinformation and its creators.”

This partnership allowed the Biden administration to finance the censorship of American media without violating its goal of countering foreign propaganda.

The GDI published a report in 2022 that listed American outlets it deemed the “least risky” and the “riskiest” for publishing “disinformation.”

According to the GDI, the top 10 “riskiest” media websites included:

GDI labeled NPR, AP News, the New York Times, ProPublica, and Insider among the top 10 least risky.

The federal government’s funding of GDI prompted a lawsuit in December 2023 from Texas, the Daily Wire, and the Federalist. The lawsuit called it “one of the most egregious government operations to censor the American press in the history of the nation.”

“Conservative commentators and news outlets like the Federalist were blacklisted, censored, and illegally targeted for destruction by the federal government for years, and Jimmy Kimmel never said a word,” Sean Davis, CEO and co-founder of the Federalist, told Blaze News.

The GEC was officially shut down in December 2024.

The Department of Homeland Security fired back at Portland, Oregon’s accusations of “land use” violations at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in the city during arresting operations.

As previously reported by Blaze News, Mayor Keith Wilson (D) announced that his administration will be issuing the “land use violation” after an overview of federal records “from a 10-month period show more than two dozen detention policy violations of the facility’s land use conditions of approval with the city, which does not allow detainees to be kept overnight or held for more than 12 hours.”

Wilson’s office further took issue with wooden boards being placed over the building’s windows and doors, which were put in place by ICE to prevent damage from the numerous violent protests and riots by Antifa radicals.

The DHS will be given an opportunity to appeal the city’s citation.

DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Blaze News the city’s investigation was not extensive enough to be taken seriously because it “amounts to nothing more than a FOIA request, without any effort to verify facts with ICE.”

“Another day, another sanctuary politician attempting to prevent the brave men and women of ICE from removing the worst of the worst, including rapists, murderers, pedophiles, and gang members from the U.S. Mayor Wilson’s claims of substandard conditions at ICE facilities are categorically FALSE. All detainees receive proper meals, medical care, and access to family and legal counsel,” McLaughlin continued.

“Furthermore, the southwest Portland ICE facility is a processing center, not a detention center. Detainees are briefly processed before being transferred to detention facilities,” she explained. “ICE has taken action to ensure that detainees are not held for more than 12 hours, including by increasing staffing and other resources provided by the One Big Beautiful Bill. Secretary Noem has called on states and local government to assist with bed and detention space — but Portland has not answered that call for its nation.”

The facility in the southern portion of Portland has been an easy target for local far-left and communist activists. The location was targeted during the 2020 BLM and Antifa riots, in addition to the federal courthouse downtown. The rioters gather at night and stand in front of the driveway to try to prevent federal vehicles from entering or leaving, forcing agents to remove them physically or with crowd-control munitions.

The assassination of Charlie Kirk is horrific and diabolical. The world lost a pioneer, a civil rights activist, a humanitarian, and, above all, a devout follower of Jesus Christ.

But I also truly believe we lost something even more profound: an evangelist. He carried the spirit of the Millennial and Generation Z evangelist. Everywhere he went, Charlie preached Jesus.

If the person on the other side of the argument is not worthy of dignity, love, or respect, then hate will surface.

This horrific event is also another glaring reminder that the political climate in America is deteriorating. It is tempting to despair and to be discouraged by the enormity of the problem.

Charlie Kirk’s assassination must serve as a moment of reckoning. Whether you agreed or disagreed with his political stance, there is no denying that he was a courageous leader for Christ and a bold voice in our culture today. He stood up when others stayed silent. We need the same courage and conviction in our world today.

So we must ask: What has led to the surge in political violence and division in America today? The Bible clearly states that everyone — regardless of skin color, political affiliation, faith, background, or anything else — is created in the image of God. Full stop. There are no exceptions, and there is no room for disagreement.

Our responsibility is moral, not just social or societal. We are called to recognize and honor God’s image in others, especially those we disagree with. That is the practical import of God’s command in Matthew 5 to “love your enemies.”

This kind of love is fundamentally opposed to what is happening in America right now, where people are reduced to issues and stances and image-bearers are written off as unworthy of love. We are never in a position to make that decision. The whole witness of scripture, the very life of Jesus, forbids it.

Such a view of others naturally infects our dialogue. If the person on the other side of the argument is not worthy of dignity, love, or respect, then hate will surface.

Now translate that to social media, where there are no tangible consequences for the venomous comments and angry tirades. Couple this with the algorithms that are designed to create echo chambers and endless confirmation and affirmation bias. We are served caricatures of the “other side” while sitting alone on our devices instead of sitting down with someone we know and disagree with over a cup of coffee. We trade dialogue for social destruction.

Why? Because we do not have to risk damaged relationships because the relationships were not real in the first place.

The problem is not disagreement. Disagreement is healthy, especially in a democratic society. The problem is how we disagree. It’s the volume, temper, and tone. It’s the cancellation that comes afterward.

No longer do we disagree in the context of respectful relationships. Instead, we have endless networks of “friends” we don’t really know who tell us what we want to hear and join us in our derision of those who disagree. We are seeing the tragic reality that this online existence — which has become the air we breathe culturally — bubbles over into violence in the real world. Violence that, in the case of Charlie Kirk, has now robbed a wife and kids of their husband and father, but also a bold voice who shared Jesus with a generation searching for truth.

The ultimate problem lies even deeper beneath the surface. It is an issue of hope. When politics becomes ultimate and elections are an existential battle for the soul of the nation, we have already lost in the ultimate sense.

There is no political salvation. This world is not permanent. Any hope placed in politics is misplaced. Political participation is important and right. But it won’t save us. Only God can do that. Our focus should be on Him and His agenda.

That doesn’t mean we do not participate in politics, but it dramatically changes how we participate. It means we serve to advance the Lamb’s agenda, not the donkey’s or the elephant’s. It means we love those on the other side of the aisle because we know their ultimate destiny matters more than our disagreements, even over important issues.

And it means that in the face of an atrocity like the assassination of Charlie Kirk, we set aside politics and come together and unite to surround his family in prayer as they grieve. We recognize that our fellow image-bearers are hurting and bear that burden with them.

When we choose to turn on the light of Christ in the darkness, we open the door for America to move forward and truly begin to heal.
