MSNBC pundits were at a loss Sunday over polls showing former President Donald Trump beating Joe Biden in the 2024 general election.
MSNBC’s “Meet The Press” hosts were analyzed the results of the latest NBC poll showing Trump beating Biden 46 to 44 percent.
“This is significant because this is the first time in the history of our poll that former President Trump beats President Biden, still within the margin of error, but still significant,” said host Kristen Welker.

“It’s the first time in more than a dozen polls we’ve seen a result like this,” agreed MSNBC political correspondent Steve Kornacki.
The MSNBC poll also found Biden has the lowest approval ever measured by an NBC poll at 40%.

CNN talking heads were likewise in a tizzy over voters’ strong support for Trump reflected in New Hampshire’s latest primary polling.
“The main arguments that we’re hearing from candidates not named Trump is that he can’t win,” a CNN correspondent said, adding that Trump’s electability rose from 51 in September to 57 percent now.
