Teen takeover planned for Florida beach thwarted; cops say they used social media against organizers
Police said a teen takeover intended to take place at a Florida beach was thwarted after cops turned the tables on the organizers — and used social media against them.
Authorities in St. Johns County told Fox News they squashed the planned event after finding social media posts encouraging youths to gather at St. Augustine Beach for what officials said was shaping up to be a chaotic and violent gathering.
‘You don’t know if it’s going to be 10 people, 100 people, or 1,000 people … showing up, so it’s extremely taxing on our resources, especially being a small police department like we are.’
“This wasn’t an invite for a teen party or a beach gathering. This was an invitation to come take over our beach and create chaos and possibly leading to violence,” St. Augustine Beach Police Chief Daniel Carswell told Fox News on Monday.
Authorities pre-emptively canceled the planned takeover in the interest of public safety — and to send a signal to those planning to participate, the news network noted.
“[We did this] to put everybody on alert that if they come, if they’re going to respond to this invitation, there’s going to be zero tolerance here in St. Augustine Beach,” Carswell added to Fox News.
St. Johns County Sheriff Robert Hardwick said targeting suspicious social media chatter began with analyzing community reports and monitoring organizers’ attempts to act behind the scenes, the news network said: “The organizers started moving it around, basically on posters, trying to be strategically behind the scenes, trying to get people to bite into the actual event itself. And again, we just don’t tolerate this garbage in St. Johns County.”
Carswell added to Fox News that he couldn’t recall any prior attempts to stage such an event in St. Johns County but highlighted other instances across the country, including some in Florida.
“These things are spread … via TikTok and social media,” he noted to the news network.
“You don’t know if it’s going to be 10 people, 100 people, or 1,000 people … showing up, so it’s extremely taxing on our resources, especially being a small police department like we are,” he continued.
Police posted on Facebook their response to one teen takeover announcement, noting the following “PSA”:
The planned event is not permitted and has been canceled by the St. Augustine Beach Police Department. While we welcome and encourage everyone to enjoy our community and beaches, any unlawful gathering, criminal activity, or disturbance of the peace will be met with immediate enforcement action. To ensure the safety of our residents and visitors, there will be a substantial law enforcement presence at and around the St. Augustine Beach Pier tomorrow afternoon. We appreciate the public’s cooperation in helping maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all.
A violent teen takeover in Florida last month led to the arrests of suspects as young as 12, officials said, adding that Tampa Police officers arrested 22 people in connection with the incident in the area of Curtis Hixon Park, which police said resulted in “significant disruptions, fights, and other issues.”
In April, fights erupted and sheriff’s deputies were hurt after more than 1,000 teenagers descended upon ICON Park in Orlando as part of a planned takeover.
Tampa Police added that with summer approaching, the growing “takeover” trend has become a concern for communities across the country — not just in Tampa.
Indeed, a massive brawl broke out in a Washington, D.C., Chipotle restaurant last month — with chairs being thrown and used as weapons — just one day after U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro announced she would prosecute parents of youths taking part in teen takeovers, WJLA-TV reported.

WATCH: Dave Landau turns SPLC’s latest scandal into comedy gold
In April this year, the DOJ indicted the Southern Poverty Law Center on federal fraud, false statements, and money laundering charges for allegedly secretly funneling over $3 million in donor funds from 2014 to 2023 to paid informants and leaders tied to white supremacist and extremist groups like the KKK, Aryan Nations, National Alliance, and National Socialist Movement — while still soliciting donations by claiming to be the ones dismantling the groups.
While much of conservative America is busy rightly raging over the SPLC’s alleged manufacturing of the very extremism it purports to oppose, comedian and BlazeTV host Dave Landau is doing what he does best: turning the whole ridiculous scandal into comedy gold.
In true Landau fashion, he resurrects the SPLC’s cheesy 1-800-FIGHT-HATE ad format — only this time it’s a deadpan Sarah McLachlan-style plea where Dave, decked out in full Klan robes, plays a sobbing, helpless white supremacist begging for donations while “suffering” through everyday life.
Making matters even funnier, X user James Harris asked Grok if the video was a real SPLC ad, and it answered in the affirmative.
Since the SPLC won’t expose its own grift, comedy will do it with a smile. Check out Dave’s hilarious skit above.

Cleveland Clinic settles with Trump’s DOJ over allegations they covered up ‘gender-affirming care’
The Justice Department announced a settlement with the Cleveland Clinic to end “gender-affirming care” at the clinic for two decades, according to a press release.
The clinic also agreed to pay a fine of $308,000 after it was accused of misrepresenting the gender-transitioning care in order to secure insurance coverage.
The hospital called the criticism inaccurate and false and claimed that it did not perform gender-affirming surgeries for patients under 18 years old.
The clinic will also put up $2 million worth of restorative care for people wanting to detransition.
“The Department of Justice is steadfastly committed to protecting America’s children. … Today’s resolution with Cleveland Clinic furthers that commitment and puts these providers on notice that this Department will vigorously enforce federal law where children are put at risk,” Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward said.
The DOJ compared the settlement to one previously reached with the Texas Children’s Hospital. The hospital agreed to end sex-rejecting procedures to minors and pay a $10 million penalty.
“These historic commitments pair the cessation of these dangerous practices masquerading as medical treatment with substantial investments in remediating the destruction they cause and restoring the health of the victims,” the DOJ said in its press release.
The Cleveland Clinic was bashed by Consumers’ Research in 2025 for being one of the most woke hospitals in the U.S. The hospital called the criticism inaccurate and false and claimed that it did not perform gender-affirming surgeries for patients under 18 years old.
“I am grateful that institutions like Cleveland Clinic and Texas Children’s have decided to be part of the solution, not part of the problem,” said Brett Shumate, assistant attorney general for the Civil Division.
“Cleveland Clinic’s commitment to providing millions of dollars towards care for detransitioners is emblematic of just that,” Shumate added. “I am grateful for this resolution with Cleveland Clinic, but our work is far from over, and our division will continue to work tirelessly to protect America’s children and hold accountable those that have preyed on vulnerable children, whether they be pharmaceutical companies or medical providers.”

WNBA player blasts league for commemorating America’s 250th, cites slavery
To celebrate the United States’ 250th birthday, numerous professional sports leagues have featured a USA 250 patch on the game jerseys of major competitions.
In the Super Bowl, the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots had the design embroidered on their jerseys. Currently, the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs are wearing the patch in the NBA Finals.
‘250 years ago we would have been breeders or in the fields working all day.’
However, when it comes to the upcoming WNBA All-Star Game in late July, Las Vegas Aces forward Brianna Turner blasted the idea on her X account, calling out “the irony of all the USA 250 stuff.”
“Whoever called for the WNBA all star uniforms to have the USA 250 patch should have thought that through considering no WNBA players would have been free 250 years ago. The majority wouldn’t even have their freedom 100 years ago,” Turner posted.
Sportico originally reported that the red, white, and blue patches would make an appearance on the WNBA All-Star jerseys, but after massive backlash on social media, a spokeswoman for the league told USA Today in a statement: “Like other major sports leagues, we are exploring how best to commemorate the country’s 250th anniversary. Nothing has been finalized at this time.”
The plan for the patch was revealed back in January by Fanatics in an agreement with President Trump and America250 — the organization established by Congress to head the celebration of the country’s 250th birthday. In that announcement, the MLB, MLS, NASCAR, NBA, NFL, NHL, UFC, and WWE were all highlighted as part of the agreement. Notably, the WNBA was not listed.

In 2025, approximately 64% of WNBA players identified as black. Turner followed up her post on X with another comment focusing on that statistic: “250 years ago we would have been breeders or in the fields working all day.”
Trump has received much criticism from WNBA players throughout his political career. In 2024, several New York Liberty players wore Kamala Harris shirts in support of her bid for president.
Two-time MVP Breanna Stewart held up a sign that read, “Abolish ICE,” before the start of a January game. The act of protest came in the aftermath of the Alex Pretti killing.
“Yesss I know this was probably a financial decision at the end of the day but still,” Turner said.

Teen allegedly pulled down skirt and underwear of transgender-identifying man at amusement park — in front of kids
An 18-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly pantsed a transgender-identifying person at an amusement park in Ohio.
Marquez Williams was banned for life from all Six Flags parks over the incident on May 26 at the Cedar Point park in Sandusky.
The victim told police that he believed Williams targeted him ‘strictly’ because he identified as transgender.
Sandusky Police said Williams walked up behind the person and pulled down his skirt and underwear, exposing him to various bystanders, including some children. Some witnesses said Williams recorded the incident and laughed as he ran away.
A friend of the victim chased after Williams, who ran into the parking lot.
Police said Williams defied orders and was eventually arrested after being subdued with the use of a stun gun and other “reasonable force.”
The victim told police that he believed Williams targeted him “strictly” because he identified as transgender.
The teen was treated at a hospital for injuries sustained during the arrest.
Williams was initially charged with four misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest, public indecency, persistent disorderly conduct, and obstructing official business. Officials later dropped the indecency charge but added a theft charge.
The teen posted 10% of his $8,000 bond and was released that evening, according to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.
He later pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The judge ordered Williams to stay away from the victim as well as all Six Flags properties.
WKYC-TV reported that Williams graduated from high school only a week after being released from custody.
Fremont City Schools Superintendent Denice Hirt confirmed that Williams had participated in graduation but offered no other comment.
A spokesperson for Cedar Point park released a statement about the incident.
“Cedar Point is a family-friendly environment, and we do not tolerate disruptive or inappropriate behavior,” the park spokesperson said. “Guests who violate our Code of Conduct are not welcome in our parks, and this guest has been banned from all Six Flags parks for life.”

John Doyle: How ‘homophobia’ became a weapon to silence critics and normalize radical gender ideology
One of the most effective LGBTQ propaganda campaigns wasn’t designed to change minds — it was designed to make dissent socially unacceptable.
BlazeTV host John Doyle argues that Hollywood and the media spent years convincing Americans that opposition to homosexuality was itself evidence of hidden same-sex attraction, creating a powerful social stigma around criticism.
“To be homophobic, too, meant that you’re actually secretly gay yourself. There was media depicting this — most famously, I think, ‘American Beauty’ with Kevin Spacey,” Doyle explains.
In the film “American Beauty,” a very masculine character who is blatantly intolerant of gay men reveals himself to be secretly gay at the end of the film.
“Now, that’s a master class in psychology, because they’re literally using the fact that people found this disgusting to then take that and turn it against them, where they would now be more reluctant to actually speak out against gay people because of this propaganda,” he says.
“What it boils down to is that they wanted to shore up and build up institutions and power for themselves and those on their side and then shut down and make their enemies appear to be evil, ridiculous, secretly on their side, but too cowardly to admit it,” he adds.
Once Americans were convinced that they were not allowed to disagree for fear of being labeled gay themselves, the gay community won the right to get married. Shortly after, they much more obviously began pushing their sexual preferences on children and called it progress.
Doyle calls this “growth for the sake of growth,” which he likens to the “ideology of a tumor.”
“It’s why, you know, only after getting legal protections completely enshrined in the law did they then start to push transgender transitions for children, drag shows for children, child drag queens. Again, why are they so focused on children?” Doyle asks.
“Is it perhaps because this isn’t actually, you know, a born-this-way kind of thing? Maybe it’s more, I don’t know, affecting people when they are in their most psychologically malleable state — their early developmental stages,” he says.
“Maybe,” he adds, “it’s a form of vampirism.”

LOCALS ONLY: Jennifer Lopez’s definition of a REAL New Yorker makes ex-Mayor Bill de Blasio blow his top
There’s a reason it’s Jenny from the block, not Jenny fresh off the boat.
Former NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio was hopping mad when pop singer and actress Jennifer Lopez dared to define what makes a New Yorker.
‘Everybody wants to claim our city.’
“Everybody wants to claim our city, but you have to be born in New York. You have to be born in one of the five boroughs to be a New Yorker,” Lopez said.
Purity test
Lopez’s offhand comments, which she made while appearing on “SubwayTakes with Kareem Rahma,” prompted the Democrat former mayor, who led the city from 2014 to 2021, to call Lopez’s definition “absolutely outrageous.”
“There is no purity test,” de Blasio claimed — asserting that New York is the “ultimate city of immigrants.”
The 65-year-old continued his vehement defense of immigration by telling the New York Times the city’s culture is actually the inverse of what Lopez was suggesting.
“In fact, it’s been the opposite. We’ve said, ‘Come here and become one of us.'”
RELATED: Diddy’s Big Circus
New York state of mind
De Blasio attempted to explain that his self-identification as a New Yorker comes from “how long I’ve lived here and because I raised my family here,” not the fact that he was born in Manhattan in 1961.
“This place gave me everything in life,” the former mayor went on. “Your definition of home is the place that means the most to you. New York City has been my whole world.”
It’s a definition that Lopez would no doubt reject. In her appearance, she stressed that even if a person had lived in NYC for 50 years, he still wasn’t cut from the same cloth as those who were born there.
“I have to say, no, you live in New York. You take on characteristics of New Yorkers. … When you’re born in New York is when you’re really a New Yorker.”

Emotional rescue
Lopez finished the short interview by advocating for schools to teach “self love” from elementary school through college, saying that if students couldn’t pass tests based on being a good person, they shouldn’t be allowed in society.
“Because they teach us things intellectually, but an intellectual motherf**ker with no emotional intelligence is dangerous! It’s a dangerous person. Okay?” she remarked.

Contentious theological debate erupts about Mormons over War Department faith list
The Department of War has updated its faith codes after excluding the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from the list of Christian churches and causing a bitter theological debate on social media.
Members of the LDS church, colloquially known as Mormons, were angered that their church, while on the list, was not included among the Christian denominations.
‘The Pentagon’s job is not to adjudicate theological debates.’
Republican Sen. Mike Lee of Utah heavily criticized the list.
I’m a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,” he wrote Saturday. “My church membership is inextricably intertwined with my Christianity, as it is for 17 million other Latter-day Saints. Regardless of what the Pentagon thinks.”
Others argued that the theological positions of the LDS church separated it from traditionally defined Christianity.
“In strictly theological terms, Catholics do not consider Mormons (Latter-day Saints) as Christians,” explained Father Ronald Vierling, a priest who listed rejection of the Trinity as one of the differences.
Lee later indicated on Sunday that he has spoken to President Donald Trump about the issue.
“I won’t speak for him, but I’m thrilled about where this is heading,” the senator wrote.
On Monday, the Department of War updated the list and said the omission had been a mistake.
“Last week, a proposed list of simplified faith codes was released to the media. The Pentagon list included redundant and unnecessary labeling, and the mistake has been fixed,” reads the statement from the agency posted on social media.
The agency went on to explain that it was trying to simplify the coding system, which had ballooned to over 200 codes.

“The Pentagon’s job is not to adjudicate theological debates, but instead to ensure sincerely-held faith is respected and encouraged in our ranks,” the agency added.
Lee thanked War Secretary Pete Hegseth for the change in the policy.

‘Absolutely RIGGED’: Critics question Raman’s ‘statistically impossible’ surge past Pratt in LA mayor race
Former reality TV star Spencer Pratt remains optimistic about his chances in the Los Angeles mayoral race despite losing his 40,000-vote lead and second-place position to far-left L.A. City Councilwoman Nithya Raman.
Critics of California’s delayed vote-counting are raising concerns that the primary election may have been stolen from Pratt, as the process has already dragged on for nearly a week.
‘Raman has conveniently received a WILDLY disproportionate amount of “late mail-in ballots” compared to both Bass and Pratt.’
Pratt’s nearly 10-point advantage over Raman on Election Day slowly shrank in the days following, with Raman eventually taking the lead. As of Monday, Raman is up 3,000 votes, according to the Associated Press.
“Folks, we’re dealing with a fraction of a percentage point difference, there’s still hundreds of thousands of votes outstanding, and LA officials have given us the next 3 weeks to count! Let’s git-r-dun!” Pratt wrote in a post on social media on Monday.
President Donald Trump chimed in on the latest ballot results, calling it “not possible” for Pratt to have lost to Raman “after the big lead he had.”
“3rd World Nation. Rigged Elections!” Trump wrote. “Won’t have results for, possibly, TWO WEEKS, according to officials.”

Political commentator Benny Johnson stated that the recent ballot drops heavily favoring Raman were “statistically impossible.”
Conservative activist Robby Starbuck noted that Raman, a third-place candidate, “suddenly” began winning “1st in every new ballot drop.” He shared a graph showing incumbent Karen Bass gaining roughly the same percentage of votes with each new ballot drop while Raman surged.
Journalist Nick Sortor declared the election “absolutely RIGGED” and called for authorities to open an investigation.
“Raman has conveniently received a WILDLY disproportionate amount of ‘late mail-in ballots’ compared to both Bass and Pratt,” Sortor wrote.

Trump announced last week that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles was investigating California’s vote-counting delay.

Meal service company gets CRUSHED online over very crude sex joke for Pride Month
A very crude joke about LGBTQ+ sex for a social media promotion has put a subscription meal delivery company in hot water.
HelloFresh advertised its Pride Month discount with the code “bottoms up” and added a reference to gay sex.
‘Such a stupid marketing decision. Sale food — get out of the culture wars.’
“We know eating isn’t always a top priority this month. We respect that. But for those of you who are… prepping… we have an extensive lineup of high-fiber recipes available. Happy Pride,” the company said in its advertisement.
The company went viral, with many criticizing the bizarre ad online, which the company still has published as of Monday afternoon.
“Long-term customer account canceled. It’s a shame; we loved the service. This is literally the only reason we canceled our account. Such a stupid marketing decision. Sale [sic] food — get out of the culture wars,” replied Republican Tennessee state Rep. Aron Maberry.
“Interesting choice by @HelloFresh. It wasn’t enough for them to merely celebrate Pride Month, they went the extra mile in associating their food with human a**holes, enemas, and s**t. Bold strategy. Unsubscribed,” responded Wade Miller of the Center for Renewing America.
“I thought there was no way this was real… it had to be parody… so I looked it up myself. It’s real. @HelloFresh are advertising their product as being good for clearing out your rectum in preparation for anal s*x during Pride Month. I’m so done with this timeline,” wrote one critic.
“I’ve used hello fresh many times. Will never again,” said another user.
Even some LGBTQ+ members were upset by the ad.
“As a lesbian, I am so tired of this nonsense. I am tired of corporate Pride and activist Pride,” responded Ani O’Brien.
“The irony is that HelloFresh’s marketing department thinks this is progressive. It’s regressive and distasteful. It takes decades of work by ordinary gay people who want to be seen as neighbours, colleagues, parents, partners and family members and reduces all of it to a crude sexual punchline.”
“As a gay man it’s disgusting that this is all @hellofresh thinks about gay men. This does not honor or respect us. It just paints us as nothing more than rutting animals,” said another critic.

Others, like LGBTQ+ news outlet Pink News, documented the positive responses from their community.
One person said: “The gays feel seen with this. Bravo.” Drag Race favourite Plasma said: “Girl it’s THEE month for eating.” Others said the post was “true allyship”, and that the company had “clocked the bottoms.”

Republican probe finds BOMBSHELL evidence against Gov. Tim Walz and AG Keith Ellison
Republican members of Congress are accusing Minnesota Democrats of knowing about massive fraud in the state and looking the other way.
On Monday, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform released a report on fraud scams in Minnesota.
The report claims that top Democratic officials knew about the scams as far back as 2019.
“It’s always worse than we thought,” reads a statement from the committee. “Democrat-run Minnesota knew about rampant fraud since 2019. State officials failed to act. $9 billion was stolen from taxpayers.”
The report said billions of dollars were potentially paid out to fraudsters while Minnesota Democrats like Gov. Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison did nothing to stop the scams.
“The report includes testimony and documents obtained by the Committee showing that Minnesota state leaders consistently failed to address known fraud concerns and retaliated against state employees who sought to protect taxpayer funds, allowing criminal schemes to flourish and diverting critical resources from vulnerable Americans,” reads the press release announcing the report.
The report claims that top Democratic officials knew about the scams as far back as 2019.
Rather than trying to stop the fraud, Democrats allegedly allowed the scams to continue in order to avoid the possibility of litigation as well as discrimination claims. The report also accused Walz of retaliating against whistleblowers who alerted officials about the fraud.
The committee called on Vice President JD Vance to fully review social services programs in Minnesota. Vance is heading up the president’s Task Force to Eliminate Fraud.

Blaze News’ requests for comment to the governor’s office and the attorney general’s office were not immediately answered.
House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York was asked by reporters to respond to the accusations, and he refused to address them directly.
“House Republicans are not serious about rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse in the United States of America,” he said. “You know why? Because the biggest fraud being perpetrated on the people of this country right now is coming out of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.”

America 250 UFC event at risk: Anti-Trump group sues to shut down event on behalf of Democratic activists
An anti-Trump, Democrat-aligned lawfare outfit founded by an ex-Biden prosecutor who cut his teeth trying to lock up Jan. 6 protesters filed a lawsuit on Saturday in the hope of shutting down the UFC fight scheduled for June 14 on the White House South Lawn.
The complaint from the Public Integrity Project claims that the mixed martial arts event planned for the celebration of America’s 250th birthday is unlawful because it supposedly does not “satisfy the Capital Region Regulation’s usual criteria for a special event permit”; the UFC structure erected on the South Lawn lacks congressional authorization; and the estimated cost of repairing the South Lawn after the event is high enough to require a public environmental assessment or impact statement.
‘This is an obstructionist, baseless, and dilatory lawsuit.’
The lawsuit also alleges that the event does not satisfy the requirements for the National Park Service’s temporary rule that exempts America250 events from various regulations.
While the NPS rule applies to America250 events planned, organized, and executed by executive departments, the plaintiffs allege that the UFC is actually in the driver’s seat where planning and organizing the event is concerned and that UFC “will in every material sense execute the festivities on the nights of June 13 and 14.”
The lawsuit alleges further that the plaintiffs — Susan Douglas, a fanatical Democratic activist, and Paul Romano, a retired cop-turned-protester who recently complained to the Atlantic about President Donald Trump’s D.C.-beautification project — are suffering “aesthetic” and procedural harms as a result of the Trump administration’s preparations for the highly anticipated event.
In addition to complaining about other supposed harms caused by the planned event — the road and park closures related to the event have, for instance, allegedly made it physically harder for Douglas to protest this and other Trump initiatives — the complaint concern-mongered that the event will be profitable.
“This is a profoundly corrupt scheme to enrich the president and his friends,” Public Integrity Project founder Brendan Ballou said in a statement. “If this fight is allowed to proceed, it will be only the beginning, and our national monuments will become little more than branding opportunities for the rich and well-connected.”
The activists want to deprive their fellow citizens of this opportunity to celebrate the nation’s birthday and American athletic greatness outside the White House, asking the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to intervene and prevent organizers of UFC Freedom 250 from utilizing or building structures on the South Lawn.

The lead anti-Trump attorney representing the geriatric activists is Samuel Ward-Packard, a former Wisconsin assistant attorney general who previously worked for the Elias Law Group, a Democrat-founded law firm involved with the Steele dossier.
A Trump administration official said in a statement obtained by ESPN, “This is an obstructionist, baseless, and dilatory lawsuit brought simply to prevent President Trump from hosting what will undoubtedly go down as one of the most historic sporting events in our nation’s history during our semiquincentennial celebration.”
“This iconic event is no different than the various other White House-hosted events on the South Lawn and properly permitted events on the Ellipse and National Mall throughout the year,” the official added.
The White House previewed the event in a video shared to social media on Sunday, stating, “Buckle up. It’s about to go DOWN.”
