Charlie Kirk in critical condition following assassination attempt

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk is alive but in critical condition, multiple sources told Blaze News.

Kirk was shot in the neck at Utah Valley University on Wednesday after which he was promptly taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for his injuries. Several videos show profuse amounts of bleeding from his neck immediately following the shooting.

At the time of this writing, multiple sources told Blaze News that Kirk is alive and has a pulse but is in critical condition.

A suspect was detained moments after the shooting, with one bystander telling Eva Terry of Deseret News that the alleged shooter appeared to be wearing a worker’s uniform, according to an interview obtained by Blaze News.

A UVU spokesperson said Kirk was shot “from a building about 200 yards away,” confirming that they have a suspect in custody.
