Peter Navarro, once a senior economic adviser to President Trump, begins his account with a boarding-gate arrest worthy of a thriller: five armed agents, leg irons, and a cell once used for John Hinckley. He ends with a defiant claim — that a man can emerge unbroken after 120 days in what he calls a “lawfare gulag.”

The new gulag is not only a place. It is a habit. Navarro’s account shows how to break it.

Navarro doesn’t argue that America has become the USSR. His point is sharper: Bureaucratic impunity and political prosecutions can turn any free nation into a maze of petty tyrannies.

Kafka behind razor wire

The book’s middle chapters read like Kafka with a side of commissary ramen. Navarro describes a prison “camp” wrapped in razor wire, a dentist prescribing sunscreen the commissary didn’t sell, and commissary prices triple those at Target. He recounts a sudden Special Investigative Services raid that smashed showers, flooded the dorm, and locked inmates down. A First Step Act loophole denied him time credits because his sentence included no supervised release.

Absurdities pile up, but the lesson is deadly serious. Systems that multiply rules and shrug at conflicts breed injustice.

Executive privilege on trial

Navarro anchors his refusal to testify in claims of executive privilege and Department of Justice-recognized testimonial immunity for senior presidential advisers. He dismisses the Jan. 6 committee as a political theater project designed to “expose for exposure’s sake.” A White House letter, he says, purported to waive a predecessor’s privilege — something he insists an incumbent president should not have the power to do.

Skeptics may doubt Navarro’s reading. But the incentive structure he highlights cannot be ignored. If an incumbent president can extinguish a former president’s privilege at will, and if Congress can punish disputes it should legislate, then the machinery exists to criminalize losing an election.

That is not a conspiracy theory — it is a theory of incentives. And it is what Navarro says happened to him after the Biden administration took power.

Survival notes

Blaze News readers will recognize the moral of Navarro’s ordeal. He refused to plead the Fifth — not because it wouldn’t have helped, but because, as he writes, he would not validate a process he viewed as punitive. He catalogs the system’s manipulations: “Potemkin” cleanups before the media arrived, choreographed delays that wiped out visiting hours, petty flexes of power designed to make people small.

George Soros’ shadow network has its hands everywhere, and the hosts of “Blaze News: The Mandate” believe that much of the horror we’ve seen unfold in the recent past can be linked to his network — as well as other billionaires.

And Vice President JD Vance is in clear agreement, after he called out Soros in a recent speech.

“Did you know that the George Soros Open Society Foundation and the Ford Foundation, the groups who funded that disgusting article justifying Charlie’s death, do you know they benefit from generous tax treatment? They are literally subsidized by you and me, the American taxpayer,” Vance said.

“And how do they reward us? By setting fire to the house built by the American family over 250 years,” he added.

And they don’t just fund cruelly written articles pushed in the mainstream media — but also district attorneys.

“Call me crazy,” BlazeTV host Jill Savage says, “But there was probably a time in our history that people thought … their district attorney would actually be running their own office, but right now, America’s criminal justice system is actually being run by a lot of outside activists and donors.”

“It’s not democracy,” BlazeTV host and Blaze News editor in chief Matthew Peterson chimes in, noting that it’s also not just George Soros.

“You have billionaires — more than just George Soros — funding organizations that actively influence how we prosecute and how we sentence criminals. And in fact, it’s worse than that, because they foment criminality through these groups,” Peterson says.

“Look at the Facebook wives club,” Savage says. “Of course, we know that the leftists have their billionaires that are out there. It’s not just George Soros. But there’s the Social Environmental Entrepreneurs. It’s called SEE. It’s a California nonprofit group.”

“These Facebook wives, right — Priscilla Chan, obviously Mark Zuckerberg’s wife, and Cari Tuna, the wife of Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz, and then you also have John Arnold, formerly of Enron,” she continues.

“These are the people that are going out there and saying, ‘No, no, no, your way of life — we don’t care,’” she says, before asking, “So why does this matter, that they have all these billionaires?”

Savage points to the latest headlines, particularly the ones about Iryna Zarutska, who was murdered on a train in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“The person who brutally murdered her was let out 14 different times,” she says. “It’s your DAs that are allowing that to happen over and over and over again.”

Republican Rep. Cory Mills of Florida was one of the four GOP lawmakers to block the censure of Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. Although Mills publicly argued that he was simply voting to protect Omar’s First Amendment rights, reports indicate that there may have been a deeper motive.

Following Charlie Kirk’s horrific assassination, Omar let out a slew of insensitive comments that sparked outrage among conservatives. As a result, Republican Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina introduced a resolution to censure Omar, which would formally condemn the Democrat and strip her of her committee assignments.

Mace’s resolution narrowly failed 214-213 in a procedural vote Wednesday night, with Mills casting the deciding vote.

Republican Reps. Mike Flood of Nebraska, Jeff Hurd of Colorado, and Tom McClintock of California joined Mills in voting against Omar’s censure.

“Ilhan Omar mocked the cold-blooded assassination of an innocent American husband and father,” Mace said in a post on X. “She’s supported ISIS. She’s supported the Muslim Brotherhood. She’s incited political violence. And tonight, Congress protected her.”

Mills’ decisive vote comes as Axios reported that House Democrats were pushing a retaliatory censure against him unless Omar’s censure was tanked. Democrat Rep. Greg Casar of Texas, who filed the censure against Mills, later confirmed to Axios that he now intends to withdraw the resolution.

Mills is facing a slew of allegations reported by Blaze News, including accusations of sextortion, financial misconduct, and stolen valor, all of which he has denied. There have also been questions raised about Mills’ faith after he was found to have been married by a radical Islamic cleric at the Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center in Falls Church, Virginia, which has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

When approached for a comment regarding his decisive vote protecting Omar, Mills’ spokeswoman, Jillian Anderson, told Blaze News she was “not available.”

A New York City subway rider dared to glance at hollering female seated behind him over the weekend, and she reacted by repeatedly hitting the man with her fists — and racial slurs — the New York Post said, citing police and sources.

The paper — which characterized the female in question as a “hate-fueled attacker” and “anti-white” — said 20-year-old Genesis Gittens was yelling on a southbound L train at the 1st Avenue and East 14th Street station in Manhattan just after 2 a.m. Sunday.

‘They’re getting even more brazen these days.’

A 28-year-old man sitting in front of her turned to look, the Post said, citing authorities and law enforcement sources.

With that, the Post — citing a criminal complaint — reported that Gittens “flew into a rage, repeatedly punching the straphanger in the face as she sneered, ‘White boy’ and ‘cracker.'”

Police said the victim was left with a bloody nose and refused medical attention, according to the paper, which characterized the attack as “unprovoked.”

Gittens was arrested less than an hour later and charged with third-degree assault as a hate crime, the Post said, citing the complaint.

The paper — citing court records — said she pleaded not guilty during her arraignment and was released. It isn’t clear if another court date for Gittens has been scheduled.

Commenters on X issued pointed reactions to the incident.

“These stories just keep coming,” one commenter said. “NYC is a cesspool.””They’re getting even more brazen these days,” another user observed.”Why doesn’t the city employ more officers to ride the subway?” another commenter wondered.”Another one of those ‘safe’ days on the NYC subway,” another user quipped.

Another commenter asked, “Have we learned no lesson on where to sit on a train? Don’t stand too close to the door, either, or you can get pulled out of the train or have your phone or purse stolen. Don’t stand close to the edge of train platform [because] you can get pushed [into] the incoming train. Don’t fall asleep, or you can be burned alive. Maybe you should not ride the train alone or NEVER.”

Indeed, 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska was minding her own business, scrolling on her phone on a train in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Aug. 22, when a male seated behind her suddenly stood up and repeatedly stabbed Zarutska in the neck. She bled out on the train after the unprovoked attack and died.

The killer was soon heard saying, “I got that white girl,” surveillance video appeared to show. Suspect Decarlos Brown has been charged with first-degree murder, but a federal criminal complaint also was filed against him last week in U.S. District Court in Charlotte, charging Brown with one count of committing an act causing death on a mass transportation system.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — If there was any day to show the Trump administration that the local population is still ardently resisting federal agents arresting illegal aliens, Tuesday night would have been the perfect time to have their show of force.

Instead, barely 100 protesters showed up at MacArthur Park outside the Mexican Consulate before heading to the Federal Building in downtown Los Angeles for Mexican Independence Day. The event was shared on social media by some far-left groups who have been active in the city, but given the significance of the day, the flyer was not widely shared compared to past protests.

‘Somebody is paying for all of this.’

A source familiar with the situation told Blaze News that the Los Angeles Police Department, which monitors online chatter in case of mass disturbances, did not need to issue a tactical alert for the downtown area because the event had such a small crowd.

The lack of any meaningful attendance is shocking considering the wave of riots in response to immigration enforcement started in Los Angeles. The Federal Building was under siege for days, surrounded by thousands of people, back in June. Larger crowds showed up on days like Independence Day for the United States to harass federal agents, soldiers, and Marines guarding the building.

Tuesday’s showing is an indicator of how concerned would-be agitators are about getting swept up in the crackdown on violent leftist groups and street actors in the aftermath of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk being assassinated last week.

“There are these nonprofit entities that organize … attacks on ICE officers, attacks on Border Patrol agents, organized doxxing campaigns, which are a violation of federal law. … There’s a whole network of organization, so I think the key point the president has been making is, somebody is paying for all of this. This is not happening for free. Under the president’s direction, the attorney general is going to find out who is paying for it, and they will now be criminally liable for paying for violence,” deputy chief of staff for policy Stephen Miller said on Monday.

Fatigue could also be a factor in Tuesday night’s low attendance. This is evidenced by a larger showing of protesters in the Chicagoland area on Tuesday since the heightened immigration enforcement operations, named Operation Midway Blitz, in that part of the country has recently commenced.

While Border Patrol agents were sent to Chicago to help with the increased operations, illegal aliens are still being arrested in different parts of Southern California on a daily basis.

Antifa is a decentralized anarcho-communist militant group that has long threatened lives and property in the United States as well as in Europe. It inherited its name, violent reflexes, and much of its symbology from Antifaschistische Aktion, the paramilitary wing of the Communist Party of Germany in the 1930s.

Amid the Black Lives Matter riots and just 20 days prior to a Trump supporter’s murder by an Antifa thug, former Attorney General Bill Barr told Blaze Media co-founder Mark Levin that Antifa is “a revolutionary group that is interested in some form of socialism, communism. They’re essentially Bolsheviks. Their tactics are fascistic.”

‘Expect a lot of liberal and left-wing media propaganda the next few days about Antifa.’

In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination by a coward whose ammunition was reportedly engraved with Antifa slogans, President Donald Trump signaled a renewed desire to bring the weight of the American republic down on the violent leftist group.

Trump went the distance on Wednesday evening, announcing that he is designating “ANTIFA, A SICK, DANGEROUS, RADICAL LEFT DISASTER, AS A MAJOR TERRORIST ORGANIZATION.”

“I will also be strongly recommending that those funding ANTIFA be thoroughly investigated in accordance with the highest legal standards and practices,” added Trump. “Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

The FBI has in recent years declined to designate Antifa or any other organization a “domestic terrorist organization,” partly in fear of infringing on First Amendment-protected speech. This unwillingness on the part of the FBI helped frustrate Trump’s effort to designate Antifa as a terrorist organization during his first term.

There is, however, more than one way to skin a cat.

While various Republican lawmakers have unsuccessfully attempted in recent years to create an official domestic terrorism organization list and put Antifa on it, Secretary of State Marco Rubio can, with relative ease, designate the group as a foreign terrorist organization under Section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act.

Kyle Shideler, a senior analyst at the Center for Security Policy, told “Blaze News: The Mandate” on Monday that an optimal approach would be to identify a number of foreign Antifa groups, tie them back to an international Antifa network such as the International Anti-Fascist Defense Fund, “then you go after U.S.-based groups that are also tied to that international network, and so you build a series of designations that way.”

“Now you could argue, and I think it would be legitimate, for a single terrorism designation against Antifa as a foreign terrorist organization,” said Shideler. “If you try to designate Antifa just as a single movement, what I suspect you’ll find is that the bureaucrats will say, ‘We don’t know what that is. That’s not a thing that exists.'”

Andy Ngo, the journalist who was savagely attacked by Antifa thugs at a Portland, Oregon, protest in May 2019, noted after Trump made his announcement on Wednesday, “Expect a lot of liberal and left-wing media propaganda the next few days about Antifa. They will say the movement doesn’t organize into groups and that those groups are peaceful, racial justice activists simply opposed to fascism.

“Don’t let them get away with lying,” added Ngo.

A property owner contacted police after making a terrifying discovery in a vacant home in Armstrong County in Pennsylvania.

State police said they were called to the home on Oak Lane in Cadogan Township over a call on Saturday that one dead infant had been found by people cleaning the home.

‘It’s just evil. It’s beyond sick.’

The owner told police that he had recently evicted a woman from the house, and when they went to clean it, they found a trash bag in a closet with a foul odor. A criminal complaint said a coroner confirmed that the remains of an infant were left in the bag.

During the police investigation, they found two containers in the attic, each with another dead baby.

When police spoke to the woman identified as 39-year-old Jessica Mauthe, she allegedly told them that she had given birth three times. She admitted that each time she gave birth, she would wrap the newborn in towels, place them in bags, and hide the bodies.

She said of the first baby that she gave birth while seated on a toilet. The baby went into the water and made noises, she claimed, so she took it and wrapped it in towels until it stopped making noises. Then she put in the closet.

Elizabeth Germy told KDKA-TV that she had been helping the owner clean the property when they made the horrific find. She said the house was very cluttered and they had trouble even walking through it.

“Very sick. Very disgusted. Sad for the two that are left behind, the living children. No words,” she said.

KDKA reported that sources indicated another dead baby had been found, but no information was available about that baby.

One resident of the neighborhood told KDKA that they were shocked by the incident.

“It’s just evil. It’s beyond sick,” Carmen Felix said. “How could she do that, three times? You don’t just plop babies in toilets.”

Another neighbor who didn’t want to be identified said that her family often took in the woman’s two boys because she wasn’t able to take care of them properly. Others in the neighborhood also looked after them.

“Her support system was minimal, and I think she loved her boys,” she said. “I feel she tried the best she could for them.”

The woman faces one count of criminal homicide, but police say more charges are expected.

Autopsies have been performed, and police are awaiting full results from the medical examiner’s office.

​Jessica mauthe, Mother kills four babies, Pa woman kills babies, Landlord finds dead babies, Crime 

Ta-Nehisi Coates, the race obsessive who suggested in 2020 that rioting was a “natural reaction” among black Americans, has joined David Corn of Mother Jones and other radicals in smearing Charlie Kirk after his assassination, allegedly by a leftist homosexual.

In his desperation to demonize Kirk, Coates — who penned hagiographies for Breonna Taylor and Michael Brown — provided the public with a reminder both of his own radicalism and the left’s intolerance of common sense.

The critical race theorist was apparently prickled when some of his fellow travelers — namely Ezra Klein of the New York Times, Sally Jenkins of the Atlantic, and California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom — dared to say nice things about Charlie Kirk.

Coates evidently decided to compensate for his liberal peers’ relatively decent remarks by penning an anti-Kirk polemic for Vanity Fair, thereby contributing further to the genre of conservative demonization that appears to have helped set the stage for the Turning Point USA founder’s slaying.

In his Sept. 16 article, Coates, a Vanity Fair contributing editor, argued that Klein, Jenkins, Newsom, and other members of the “political class” were “sanitizing” Kirk’s legacy by focusing on his numerous good-spirited campus engagements with people from different walks of life, instead of complaining about the murdered patriot’s politics, which Coates claims “amounted to little more than a loathing of those whose mere existence provoked his ire.”

Coates, who wrote in one of his books that the firefighters and police who died in the process of saving lives on 9/11 “were not human to me” but rather “menaces of nature,” noted:

It is not just, for instance, that Kirk held disagreeable views — that he was pro-life, that he believed in public executions, or that he rejected the separation of church and state. It’s that Kirk reveled in open bigotry. Indeed, claims of Kirk’s “civility” are tough to square with his penchant for demeaning members of the LGBTQ+ community as “freaks” and referring to trans people with the slur “tranny.”

Coates was clearly upset by Kirk’s use of the term “freaks”; however, in context, it’s clear that the TPUSA founder was being charitable, as more damning words may have been more appropriate.

Kirk stated on a Dec. 9, 2022, episode of “The Charlie Kirk Show” that the Biden administration was “being run by freaks. That’s not an exaggeration; that’s not hyperbole. At the highest stakes imaginable, people that have very deep-seated mental problems are running some of the most consequential government programs conceivable.”

Kirk specifically referred to Demetre Daskalakis and Samuel Brinton, a pair of individuals who fit the bill.

Daskalakis is the sex-obsessed homosexual “activist physician” who until recently served as director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases and previously served as Joe Biden’s monkeypox adviser.

‘I want to be able to get married, buy a home, have kids, allow them to ride their bike till the sun goes down, send them to a good school, have a low-crime neighborhood, not to have my kid be taught the lesbian, gay, transgender garbage in their school.’

Blaze News previously reported that Daskalakis, an LGBT activist with a track record of pushing drugs to facilitate promiscuous sexual behavior among homosexuals, had a history of denigrating straight Americans, sharing satanic imagery on social media, and showing up in public in bondage gear.

Brinton, a mustachioed nuclear engineer who ran a “Physics of Kink” class and made a habit of dressing in women’s clothing, served as deputy assistant secretary for spent fuel and waste disposition in the Office of Nuclear Energy at the Energy Department. He pleaded guilty last year to petit larceny for stealing women’s luggage.

Brinton’s profile on CLAW Corp.’s website reportedly stated that he has “been active in the kink world since 2013, [hosted] monthly kink parties in their dungeon in Washington, DC, and estimate they have spanked over 2,000 cute butts.”

In addition to suggesting Kirk was bigoted for calling sexual deviants “freaks,” for criticizing racially motivated black-on-white crime, for expressing concern over Haiti’s infestation by “demonic voodoo,” and for suggesting the southern border was transformed under the previous administration into the “dumping ground of the planet,” Coates faulted Kirk for another common-sense assertion, namely:

The American way of life is very simple. I want to be able to get married, buy a home, have kids, allow them to ride their bike till the sun goes down, send them to a good school, have a low-crime neighborhood, not to have my kid be taught the lesbian, gay, transgender garbage in their school while also not having them have to hear the Muslim call to prayer five times a day.

Just in case advocacy for homeownership and marriage didn’t strike readers as bigoted, Coates — who reportedly likened the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas terror attacks against Israel to the Nat Turner slave uprising in 1831 — insinuated that Kirk was anti-Semitic, even though days earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the fallen patriot was a “lion-hearted friend of Israel” who “fought the lies and stood tall for Judeo-Christian civilization.”

After rattling off numerous mainstream American views Kirk espoused, Coates stated, “Kirk subscribed to some of the most disreputable and harmful beliefs that this country has ever known.”

Coates, who is the Sterling Brown chair in the English department of the federally funded Howard University, continued his bitter rant, insinuating that Kirk got a taste of his own medicine — writing that “Kirk endorsed hurting people to advance his preferred policy outcomes” — calling Kirk an “unreconstructed white supremacist,” and suggesting that his public life was cancerous.

The Vanity Fair piece concludes by hinting that Kirk, a man who worked diligently to improve his country and promote civic engagement among American youth, was like the “men who sought to raise an empire of slavery.”

Blaze News has reached out to Vanity Fair for comment.

While Coates appears to have moved on from writing comic books, his hateful article demonstrates that he’s not finished writing fiction.

BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales is among those mourning the loss of Charlie Kirk, and of his qualities that she admired, one of the most important was that he was “a good man.”

“A far better person than I am,” Gonzales says.

Which is why she finds the reaction from the left — the vitriol, the accusations, the slander — even more disturbing.

“How did we end up with a situation where this 22-year-old kid who went to a public university in Utah, who seemed to be, he came from a good family, he got a scholarship, he was very bright — how did someone like that come to hate so much?” Gonzales asks.

“And then I’m looking at all of these videos that I’m about to show you, this reaction from college campuses in the state of Texas … and I’m like, ‘Oh, it’s no wonder we’re at where we’re at now. It’s no wonder that Charlie was killed for his opposing views. It’s no wonder there is so much hate in society, because we are walking around sending our children to breeding grounds for hate and indoctrination and radical ideology,” she explains.

Gonzales then pulls up a video recorded at UT Austin after Charlie Kirk was shot, where students were asked in man-on-the-street-style interviews if they heard about the shooting and how they felt.

“Charlie Kirk got shot and killed today. We’re just getting people’s opinions,” the interviewer says. “How do you feel about that?”

“Girl, someone had to do it,” a college girl responds. “That’s how I feel at this point in time.”

Another young woman responded, “I try not to get all pulled up into that, but he was a misogynist. He was a disgusting person with disgusting beliefs.”

“So, if you had a magical wand, a magical button that you could press and keep him from being assassinated, would you press that?” the interviewer asks.

“No,” she responds.

Gonzales is disgusted.

“Again, what reason do you have for continuing to send your children to these indoctrination camps? These would be their peers. This is who’s going to higher education now,” she says, noting that similar responses were recorded at Texas Tech.

In this particular recording, a girl recorded some of her classmates who were sharing the news that Charlie had just gotten shot.

“And the glee on their faces, the smiles that they wore thinking about another human being potentially being assassinated is — it makes me sick to my stomach seeing all of this from all of these young people,” Gonzales says.

“They have their entire lives ahead of them,” she continues, adding, “and they are already choosing hate and evil.”

ABC News correspondent Matt Gutman is under fire — and rightfully so — for having one of the more innately disturbing public responses to the news of Charlie Kirk’s murder.

The reporter called the text messages the alleged assassin sent to his transgender partner about killing Charlie Kirk “very touching.”

“It was very touching in a way that many of us didn’t expect,” Gutman said. “A very intimate portrait into this relationship between the suspect’s roommate and the suspect himself, with him repeatedly calling his roommate, who is transitioning, calling him ‘my love.’ And, ‘I want to protect you, my love.’”

“So, it was this duality of someone who the attorney said not only jeopardized the life of Charlie Kirk and the crowd, but was doing it in front of children, which is one of the aggravating circumstances of this case. And on the other hand, he was, you know, speaking so lovingly about his partner,” he added.

Gutman had been suspended before for falsely reporting on the Kobe Bryant death.

“He instinctively framed it like this,” executive producer of the “Steve Deace Show” says, shocked.

“That’s the thing. I mean, he’s riffing, guys,” BlazeTV host Steve Deace says.

“And understand, he is not your lefty neighbor who is getting information from his sources downstream lying to him. He is at the press conference. He is receiving the evidence, or at least the alleged evidence,” Deace explains. “So, it’s been handed to him.”

“This is innate. This is visceral. Out of the heart, the mouth speaks. And this is what he took away from this,” he says.

“Now, let’s be fair. It’s a tale as old as time. Boy meets boy. And they just exchange a litany of long-form text messages where they literally say things. ‘I will kill Charlie Kirk now’ — period. ‘I will go grab rifle now’ — period. ‘This is where I will be and when’ — period. ‘Will you help me?’ — period. ‘No, I will pull trigger myself,’” Deace mocks robotically. “Because people just routinely communicate like that.”

The motion to censure Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and strip her of her committee assignments was thwarted by just four Republicans who voted with Democrats.

Republican Nancy Mace of South Carolina filed the censure motion after pointing to comments made by Omar and also those made in a video that she shared on social media comparing Charlie Kirk to Dr. Frankenstein.

‘A free society depends on tolerating ALL speech — even hateful speech — confident that the best way to sort good from evil is to put the two side by side and trust the people to know the difference.’

On Wednesday, the motion failed by just one vote, 214 to 213.

“Ilhan Omar has shown us exactly who she is: she defends political violence and refuses to condemn the loss of innocent lives when it doesn’t suit her agenda, even the cold-blooded assassination of Charlie Kirk,” Mace wrote on social media Monday.

“Its [sic] dangerous, disgraceful, and beneath the United States Congress,” she added. “She must be stripped of every committee assignment. No excuses.”

Omar denied that she had advocated for political violence against Republicans and said she had sympathy and compassion for his wife and children.

The four Republicans who voted against the measure were Reps. Cory Mills of Florida, Mike Flood of Nebraska, Jeff Hurd of Colorado, and Tom McClintock of California.

Democrats accused Mace of abusing the legislative process in order to fundraise off of the memory of Charlie Kirk.

“This is political theater. This is BS meant to bolster [Mace’s] gubernatorial bid,” said Democratic House Minority Whip Katherine Clark on Wednesday. “And frankly, she’s trying to monetize this.”

McClintock released a statement on social media trying to explain his rationale for voting against the censure.

“Ilhan Omar’s comments regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk are vile and contemptible. They deserve the harshest criticism of every man and woman of good will. But this disgusting and hateful speech is still speech and is protected by our First Amendment,” he wrote.

“Censure is formal punishment by the House and we have already gone too far down this road. Omar’s comments were not made in the House and even if they were, they broke no House rules,” he explained.

“A free society depends on tolerating ALL speech — even hateful speech — confident that the best way to sort good from evil is to put the two side by side and trust the people to know the difference. Congress exists for this purpose. For this reason, I voted to table the censure resolution,” he continued.

Omar had also accused Republicans of hypocrisy on the issue of free speech.

“To those claiming they’re for free speech while punishing and silencing those for exercising that right: You’re not pro-free speech,” she posted.

The ABC television network said the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” show was to be taken off the air “indefinitely” after the host made controversial comments about the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Kimmel had suggested that Tyler Robinson, the man arrested for allegedly shooting and killing Kirk, had actually been a supporter of President Donald Trump and the “Make America Great Again” movement.

‘We have made the difficult decision to pre-empt his show in an effort to let cooler heads prevail as we move toward the resumption of respectful, constructive dialogue.’

“The MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said during the opening monologue of the show on Monday.

“In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving,” he added.

However, most of the evidence that has been released from the case has supported the suspicion that Robinson was motivated to allegedly kill Kirk over the activist’s opposition to the LGBTQ agenda. Robinson had been in a romantic relationship with a trans-identifying male.

On Wednesday, Nexstar Media Group announced that the show would be pre-empted indefinitely from the ABC stations they own.

“Nexstar strongly objects to recent comments made by Mr. Kimmel concerning the killing of Charlie Kirk and will replace the show with other programming in its ABC-affiliated markets,” reads a statement from the company.

Soon afterward, ABC said they had pulled the show from all stations indefinitely.

Nexstar broadcasting division president Andrew Alford called the comments “offensive and insensitive” in a statement explaining the company’s decision.

“Continuing to give Mr. Kimmel a broadcast platform in the communities we serve is simply not in the public interest at the current time, and we have made the difficult decision to pre-empt his show in an effort to let cooler heads prevail as we move toward the resumption of respectful, constructive dialogue,” he added.

Kimmel had also claimed in August that the president was behind the end of “The Late Show” that was hosted by Stephen Colbert, a frequent Trump critic.

At this point, there’s no denying it: The left fetishizes murder and violence.

Last summer, radical leftists applauded Thomas Matthew Crooks after he shot President Donald Trump in the ear at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Their only complaint was that the deranged 20-year-old failed to deliver a fatal blow.

Then in December, they proved their sadism again by celebrating the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, heralding the alleged shooter, Luigi Mangione, as a hero. Since then, “Free Luigi” billboards have been hung, funds have been raised to pay for his defense attorney, and rallies continue to be held in his honor.

Then in August this year, lefties wailed when Lyle and Erik Menendez, two brothers who brutally murdered their parents in 1989, were denied parole at their first hearings, even though the parole board cited prison rule violations and doubts about the brothers’ accountability.

And now these same people are celebrating Tyler Robinson’s murder of Charlie Kirk, whose only crime was the free (and always civil) exchange of ideas in the public square.

Vice President JD Vance called the left out for its sick obsession with violence on September 15, while he was guest-hosting “The Charlie Kirk Show.”

“The data is clear: People on the left are much likelier to defend and celebrate political violence. This is not a both-sides problem. If both sides have a problem, one side has a much bigger and malignant problem. And that is the truth we must be told,” he boldly proclaimed.

“Where’s the lie?” asks Sara Gonzales, BlazeTV host of “Sara Gonzales Unfiltered.”

She points to the left’s “media activist complex” that continues “turning violent offenders into victims,” its “TikTok stand culture for killers,” and its incessant “protecting [of] criminal aliens from deportations” as examples of their fetishization of violence and hatred for justice.

“You start to wonder, why do the loudest voices defend the indefensible? Why are there so many people cheering on Charlie Kirk being murdered? Why have they become so obsessed with all of these heinous acts?” she asks.

“There is a huge culture problem on the left when it comes to all of these killers. I mean, they are being fetishized by the left. If your so-called ‘justice’ makes the killer in the story the hero and the law the villain, that’s not justice. That is social decay, and no one should pretend otherwise anymore.”

Minnesota assassination suspect Vance Luther Boelter is a Republican who voted for Donald J. Trump in 2016, 2020, and 2024, he told Blaze News.

“I am a Trump supporter and voted for him in all 3 elections,” Boelter wrote to Blaze News from the Sherburne County Jail in Elk River, Minn., where he is being held awaiting federal trial. “I am a Republican.”

Boelter, 58, of Green Isle, Minn., is charged in state and federal courts with 14 counts for the brutal slayings of Minnesota House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman (DFL-Brooklyn Park), her husband, Mark Hortman, and the family dog, Gilbert. He is also charged with the attempted murder of state Sen. John Hoffman (DFL-Champlin), his wife, Yvette Hoffman, and their adult daughter, Hope Hoffman.

‘I didn’t want the press to use that to try and make attacks on Trump.’

Ever since authorities announced they were seeking to arrest Boelter hours after the shootings in suburban Minneapolis, battles have erupted online claiming Boelter is either a leftist or a Trump-supporting conservative. Conflicting evidence had not fully settled the issue either way by the time Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated on Sept. 10 at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

After Kirk was shot to death just as he spoke to a college audience about transgender mass shooters, the finger-pointing about Boelter heated up again. The brutal murders of the Hortmans and the shooting of the Hoffmans were held up as a conservative example to counter the suspicion that Kirk was killed by a leftist.

Some conservative influencers and celebrities on X continue to describe Boelter as a Democrat. Melissa Tate wrote that Hortman “was assassinated by a DEMOCRAT who appointed to Governor’s Board by Tim Walz.” Others have said it’s a lie to describe Boelter as right-wing or a Trump supporter.

Boelter said he worried his political affiliation would be used against President Trump by the president’s enemies.

“I tried to keep that to myself because I didn’t want the press to use that to try and make attacks on Trump because of me trying to make citizen arrests that went horribly wrong,” Boelter told Blaze News.

In earlier interviews with Alpha News and the New York Post, Boelter said the June 14 shootings had nothing to do with President Trump or with Boelter’s pro-life worldview.

Boelter claims he did not plan to shoot lawmakers in the overnight hours on June 14. He said his plan was to make citizen’s arrests based on a two-year undercover investigation of the sudden deaths of 400 Minnesotans who took COVID-19 shots.

‘For conservatives it doesn’t even occur to us to shoot someone simply for disagreeing.’

Prosecutors have not offered a theory on Boelter’s motives, but said his stories about citizen’s arrests and his earlier letter claiming Gov. Tim Walz ordered him to commit murders are nothing more than excuses for his brutal crimes.

Federal authorities allege Boelter had a plan to kill at least four Democrat state representatives on June 14: Hortman, Hoffman, Rep. Kristin Bahner (DFL-Maple Grove), and Sen. Ann Rest (DFL-New Hope). When Boelter allegedly visited the Bahner residence, she was not at home. Boelter was allegedly parked a block from Sen. Rest’s home but was apparently scared off when a New Hope police officer pulled up next to his vehicle.

Hennepin County Attorney Mary F. Moriarty said Boelter fired at least nine times into the door of the Hoffman home after he was shoved from the entrance by the senator and his wife. Senator Hoffman was hit nine times and Yvette Hoffman suffered eight bullet wounds, Moriarty said.

The FBI and Minnesota police say they found notebooks in Boelter’s vehicle and in a room he rented in north Minneapolis that contained a hit list of more than 60 Democrat officials and business locations. The names of Hortman and Hoffman were found in the notebooks, the FBI said.

While some conservatives still get it wrong about Boelter in the Hortman killings, others say there is a larger point in the ongoing debate about how divisive politics can fuel lopsided violence.

‘To the extent that the right cancels you, it will be for objectively abhorrent, perverse, and sick things.’

Virginia commonwealth lawmaker Nick Freitas, a Green Beret veteran with 363,000 followers on X, put it this way:

“Perhaps the reason leftists and conservatives think so differently about guns, is because for conservatives it doesn’t even occur to us to shoot someone simply for disagreeing,” Freitas wrote on X on Tuesday. “The response to Charlie’s assassination revealed that it occurs to the left all the time.”

The gruesome killing of Kirk has set off an explosion of vitriol and hatred from the left. Thousands of X accounts celebrated his assassination, with some calling for the murder of more conservatives. Conservative podcasters and journalists are pushing back, exposing the worst of those dancing on Kirk’s grave and rejecting any comparisons to the left-induced “cancel culture.”

“There is a fundamental difference between the cancel culture that the left engages in and the quote-unquote canceling that the right is doing in the wake of Charlie’s assassination and the left’s celebration of it,” said podcaster and filmmaker Matt Walsh, who has 3.8 million X followers.

“The difference is the left will cancel you for saying objectively true, good, and normal things,” Walsh said in a video Sept. 15. “To the extent that the right cancels you, it’ll be for saying objectively abhorrent, perverse, and sick things. And this distinction matters.”

Walsh said the left wants people fired for saying things like “men can’t have babies” and “women don’t have penises.” The attacks come for saying “the most basic and true things that it’s possible for a person to say.”

Walsh has called for the public shaming of those who celebrate Kirk’s murder or wish death on his wife and children. “We cannot have a civilized and decent society unless there are severe social consequences for people who publicly express sentiments like these,” he wrote. “These people are barbarians. Savages. And should be treated as such.”

A nurse at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta posted a shocking attack on Kirk’s family.

“F**k his kids. F**k his ancestors, especially the b***h who birthed him,” the nurse reportedly wrote on her @givethemkiki X account, which has since been deleted. After an uproar of complaints, the hospital fired the woman, stating, “This type of rhetoric is not acceptable for Children’s employees and violates our social media policy.”

“When you say ‘f**k his kids’ about a man who was just shot and killed on camera, you are not merely expressing an opinion,” Walsh wrote Sept. 14. “You are revealing that you are an animal, barely human, unfit for civilized society.”

CNN conservative commentator Scott Jennings took on the absurd liberal spin on the motivations of the Charlie Kirk assassination suspect during a hearing debate with the network’s panel.

More and more evidence is pointing to the conclusion that 22-year-old Tyler Robinson was motivated by his opposition to Kirk’s political opinions when he allegedly shot and killed him during an event at Utah Valley University.

‘Well, it doesn’t sound like a joke to me, because someone’s dead and about to be buried. So it doesn’t sound like a joke to me!’

Some of the CNN panelists still trying to spin some doubt into the debate were met with the sharp rational arguments from Jennings.

“I don’t believe he was motivated politically,” Montel Williams said of the suspect. “I think this was motivated emotionally.”

“Guys, guys, the evidence here is overwhelming. He said, ‘Charlie Kirk, I can’t stand this hate anymore; I’m going to take him out,'” Jennings explained. “The testimony from and the statements of his family, he had become more left-wing. He etched the statements that are made by the left about Republicans and conservatives and Charlie Kirk ‘fascists’ on the bullet casings.”

“He made a joke about it in his last text,” Williams replied.

“Well, it doesn’t sound like a joke to me, because someone’s dead and about to be buried. So it doesn’t sound like a joke to me,” Jennings fired back.

“So, I’m just telling you, there is an effort, there was an effort all weekend long on the left to try to make this guy sound like he was a conservative — that failed. That was passed around all over the weekend. That has now failed,” he continued.

“The evidence has now come out. He was motivated by hate. He was motivated by left-wing radicalism. He got mixed up with some trans ideology in his life. We’ll learn more about that, I’m sure, when more evidence and testimony comes out,” he added.

“We are looking around the edges of this for something other than what’s staring us in the face — left-wing radicalism got this kid, he went up to a roof, and he murdered our friend, and that’s what happened,” Jennings said.

While Bill O’Reilly, like Blaze Media co-founder Glenn Beck, is devastated by the news of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, he does have a positive message to send America in the wake of such a tragedy.

“Charlie Kirk was an interesting fellow because at a very young age, he was mature enough to understand that he wanted to take a stand in favor of traditional America and Judeo-Christian philosophy,” O’Reilly tells Glenn on “The Glenn Beck Program.”

“He was light-years ahead of us,” he says.

“Now, most good people, even if you disagree with what Mr. Kirk says on occasion, you admire that. That’s the spirit of America — that you have a belief system, that you go out and try to promote that belief system for the greater good of the country. That’s what it is. There’s nothing else to it,” he continues.

“That’s what Charlie Kirk did. And he lost his life by doing it,” he adds.

However, O’Reilly notes that many Americans are taking it as a “victory for evil.”

“But it really isn’t. And this is the ongoing story. This is the most important story. … Mao, Hitler, Ayatollah Khomeini … they all destroy themselves. The evil always destroys itself, but it takes so many people with it,” he says.

And the killer didn’t just take Charlie Kirk down.

“He destroyed his own mother and father and his two brothers. That’s what this killer did in addition to the Kirk family. So evil spreads. Now, if Americans pay attention and come to the conclusion that I just stated, it will be much more difficult for evil to operate openly,” O’Reilly says.

“And that’s what I think is going to happen. There’s going to be a ferocious backlash against the progressive left, in particular, to stop it. And I believe that is what Mr. Kirk’s legacy is going to be,” he adds.

Not even a week after Charlie Kirk was assassinated, leftist activists have come out of the woodwork to protest the show of support and religious awakening to which the tragedy has given rise. While many people face punitive measures for their awful reactions to Kirk’s shooting, other awful reactions by leftists still abound across the country.

In a viral video posted Tuesday afternoon, several activists at University of North Carolina Wilmington were recorded smearing paint over a Kirk memorial on a campus boulder.

‘You destroy things you don’t agree with. That’s why he was shot.’

One of the major subjects of the video can be heard arguing with a gathering crowd: “Charlie Kirk is definitely not the morals I support or the religion I support where you’re taught to love your neighbor.”

While it is not clear which religion the young woman thinks Charlie Kirk was a part of or what her religious views are, she insisted she was religious. She also argued with the crowd about “judging.” “It’s not my right to judge, but it is also not your right to judge,” she said, pointing a paint-covered finger at the apparently peaceful onlookers.

One of the members of the crowd, apparently concerned by the display, shot back, “If we were judging, we would be taking your paint can and dumping it on you. But we’re not, are we?”

Prior to the vandalism, the American flag, a portrait of Kirk, and a quote had been painted on the boulder. The quote read: “‘If you believe in something, you need to have the courage to fight for those ideas — not run away from them or try to silence them.’ Charlie Kirk 1993–2025.”

In the aftermath, the two visible faces of the boulder were almost entirely covered in sky-blue paint, effectively erasing the entire Kirk image. Perhaps ironically, the leftist vandalism left the words “or try to silence them” uncovered near the bottom of the boulder.

A resident in Dearborn, Michigan, which became the country’s first Arab-majority city in 2023, was told he was “not welcome” in the community after he expressed concerns that officials named two intersections after a terrorist sympathizer.

‘They will fight with stones, others will fight with guns, others will fight with planes, drones, and rockets.’

During a September 9 city council meeting, Ted Barham, a publicly active Christian resident, told members that he disapproved of signs placed on Warren Avenue named after Osama Siblani, the publisher of Arab American News.

Barham, who repeatedly called for peace during his speech, stated that he understands Siblani has “done a lot of good things for the community,” but contended that he is “a promoter of Hezbollah and Hamas.”

Barham was quickly interrupted by council members who explained that Wayne County installed the signs and that the issue was “not under control of the city.”

Despite being encouraged to take his concerns to the county, Barham, who acknowledged that he understood this, noted that some “people in this room” attended the ceremony to put up the signs.

Barham read several quotes from Siblani that he argued encouraged violence against Israel.

“He talks about how the blood of the martyrs … irrigates the land of Palestine,” Barham said. “He talks about how the terrorists should strike them with knives and with their bare hands … and he also encourages the use of rockets over there.”

A council member again stopped Barham, claiming that Siblani “is not intending to incite violence anywhere in the world.” He accused Barham of sharing his own interpretation and opinions of Siblani’s comments.

Barham read another quote from Siblani, stating, “Whether we are in Michigan and whether we are in Jenin, believe me, everyone should fight within his means. They will fight with stones, others will fight with guns, others will fight with planes, drones, and rockets. Others will fight with their voices, and others will fight with their hands and say, ‘Free, free Palestine.’”

Barham argued that the street signs might as well read, “Hezbollah Street or Hamas Street.” He instead called for peace.

Mayor Abdullah Hammoud (D) fired back at Barham by accusing him of being “hypocritical,” claiming he had posted videos on social media “standing in front of my mosque, saying the cruelest of things about Muslims, about the religion of Islam.”

“You are a bigot, and you are a racist, and you are an Islamophobe,” Hammoud remarked. “Although you live here, I want you to know, as mayor, you are not welcome here. And the day you move out of this city will be the day that I launch a parade celebrating the fact that you moved out of the city.”

“You are not somebody who believes in coexistence,” the mayor claimed. “You’re somebody who tries to preach it, but in fact, you do everything but that. So I just want to put that on the record.”

Blaze News could not independently confirm the mayor’s claims regarding social media videos of Barham making negative comments about Muslims.

Siblani reacted to the exchange in a statement to WJBK.

“It’s sad that we do not respect each other’s differences. This is a great country, a nation of nations,” Siblani stated. “I am an American from a Lebanese background, an Arab background. I’m very proud of my culture and heritage. But I also love this country and what it has done. Only in the United States can you come in 1976 with no money, a one-way ticket, $185 in your pocket, and 50 years later your name is on a street in America.”

The city council did not respond to a request for comment.

The assassination of Charlie Kirk has created a critical moment in American history. The left has been allowed to operate with impunity for too long, stirring up hatred, dehumanizing conservatives, and even calling directly for violence. That culture of permission led to multiple attempts on President Trump’s life — and to the murder of Charlie Kirk.

The situation calls for clarity and discipline. Vice President JD Vance and senior adviser Stephen Miller have delivered both. They’ve made the case that leftist terror must be crushed swiftly but lawfully, framing the crackdown as justice, not revenge. Pam Bondi managed to smash that framing with a single phrase: “hate speech.”

The administration has both the legal authority and the political capital to act — but only if it stays focused. Bondi has already proven she cannot keep her footing.

Unchecked political violence invites chaos. After the Trump shooting, the left paid no price for its demonization of conservatives. That failure emboldened extremists and left every conservative wondering if they too would be targeted. If the government once again shrinks from action, many will feel compelled to take matters into their own hands.

That path leads to civil war.

The only way to stop the spiral is with decisive state action — action that may have seemed radical a decade ago but is now necessary. The government has the authority to dismantle leftist terror networks like Antifa and the NGOs that bankroll them. Those who openly call for violence must face penalties. And society must place crushing pressure on anyone who celebrates Kirk’s death or mocks his grieving family. All of it can and must be done under law.

But presentation matters. Americans must understand this as justice, not revenge. It must look and feel like law, not a purge. That is why framing is crucial.

Threading the needle

JD Vance modeled this balance when he hosted Kirk’s show after the assassination. He honored his fallen friend by remembering his faith, his family, and his work — while also making clear that political terrorism is a left-wing problem that demands a response. He called for peace but promised justice. Strong measures would come, but they would come through the state, under law.

Miller added his own testimony. He recounted how Kirk had confided fears of leftist violence and identified the NGOs funding extremist groups as the key target. Miller vowed to cut off that money and dismantle the networks. It was the perfect pairing: grief tempered by resolve, compassion paired with action. The administration projected strength and restraint in equal measure.

Enter Pam Bondi

Then, Bondi opened her mouth. On a podcast, asked whether the administration’s efforts might violate civil liberties, she answered: “There is free speech, and then there is hate speech,” and hate speech should not be allowed.

That one remark shredded weeks of careful positioning. For years, conservatives have fought the left’s attempt to define “hate speech” as anything progressives dislike. With a few words, Bondi made Republicans look like hypocrites, validated the left’s narrative, and handed progressives a moral weapon to use against Trump’s administration.

The reaction was swift. Progressives flooded social media and cable news, crowing that the administration’s true aim was censorship. Bondi had handed them the very frame the White House had labored to avoid.

Then, she dug in. Instead of walking back her comments, Bondi tweeted that “hate speech” meant calls for violence — which are already illegal. But that is not what the left means, and by using its terminology, she legitimized it. She then compounded the blunder by suggesting the Justice Department could force shop owners to print memorials for Kirk against their will — a direct echo of the “bake the cake” battles conservatives had fought on principle for a decade.

Too high a price for incompetence

This moment is too dangerous for sloppy messaging. The administration must dismantle a leftist terror network while preserving civil liberties. The margin for error is razor-thin. Bondi has already shown she is not up to the task.

The solution is obvious: Replace her. Bondi was never Trump’s first choice. Matt Gaetz was blocked by Senate Republicans. The president could revisit that pick or turn to another proven operator like Ron DeSantis, who will soon be term-limited out of the Florida governorship. Whoever it is, the administration needs discipline, skill, and unwavering commitment.

The stakes could not be higher. The nation mourns a conservative leader assassinated for his beliefs. The administration has both the legal authority and the political capital to act — but only if it stays focused. Bondi has already proven she cannot keep her footing. The country cannot afford her mistakes.

Chilling video shows the moment a man ripped down a pro-Trump banner and then reportedly fired a gun at a business owner in North Carolina.

The Swain County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement, “On 6 September 2025 at approximately 5:52 PM, the Swain County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the area of … the Nantahala Gorge for a report of gunshots.”

‘I let him know that somebody’s watching him and didn’t appreciate it.’

The responding deputy did not see anything suspicious.

Three days after the alleged incident, the Swain County Sheriff’s Office became aware of a video of the purported occurrence.

The video shows a Jeep Grand Cherokee stopping in the middle of a road and then pulling over to the shoulder.

The driver exits the vehicle, walks across the road, and examines a large “Trump 2024” banner that was displayed roadside. Surveillance video shows the man ripping down the banner supporting President Donald Trump and tossing it to the ground. He then walks back to his SUV and enters the vehicle.

Mark Thomas — owner of Paddle Inn Rafting Company, where the sign had been displayed — said he was shocked over the alleged incident.

Thomas told WHNS-TV, “He walked up to the sign. When he stood up at the sign, I thought, ‘I can’t believe this.’ I watched him until he reached up and pulled the sign down. It’s just a shock.”

Thomas noted that the Trump banner belongs to his mother and has been displayed for a “long time.”

Thomas said he went outside and fired his rifle in the air with two warning shots. “I let him know that somebody’s watching him and didn’t appreciate it,” Thomas explained.

Video shows the suspect opening the sunroof of his SUV, pointing the gun out, and allegedly firing gunshots in the direction of Thomas.

According to the Daily Mail, Thomas said, “He looked up, obviously saw the gun pointing straight up, he rolled back his sunroof, stuck his gun out, fired two rounds, then took off in my direction.”

Thomas said one of the bullets “hit something solid near me.”

“He drove back by here in another loop four minutes later,” Thomas noted. Thomas said he was “ready to take him out on this second trip” and made himself “plenty visible with my rifle.”

Thomas said the suspect fired another five or six rounds before driving away.

The Daily Mail reported, “The business owner said he believes the suspect was trying to kill him, and slammed him as an ‘ignorant leftist.'”

The suspect reportedly had his license plate covered at the time of the alleged incident.

Swain County Sheriff Brian Kirkland told Blaze News, “We have identified the vehicle. We are currently working with out-of-state agencies on the investigative part of identifying the suspect.”

Sheriff Kirkland said it is an ongoing investigation and authorities currently couldn’t release more details “without jeopardizing this case.”

Rep. Chuck Edwards (R-N.C.) told WHNS-TV, “We’re at a point right now where we’ve seen so much political rhetoric from so many different folks — both sides of the aisle, quite frankly — that have ignited fears, anger, and emotion inside of folks, and in many cases caused them to do things that they may not have done otherwise.”

“I believe that we all need to cool our jets. We need to figure out how to have open dialogue about our differences,” Edwards continued. “There are differences, clearly.”

Thomas stated, “Society in general is really, really disappointing. I know what this country could be. I know how we could all be together.”

“See something, say something, do something. Become part of a respectable community and make it known that we will NOT stand for this stuff,” Thomas added.
