Tagline for film is “All Empires Fall”

The first trailer for A24’s Civil War just dropped Wednesday, it depicts journalists navigating a war-torn America.

The release is set for spring 2024, just in time for the presidential election season of a government that wants a divided America:

The film is written and directed by Alex Garland, who also wrote 28 Days Later, Ex Machina, and Annihilation.

The tagline is “All Empires Fall.”

One scene shows a distraught man being interrogated by a white man holding a rifle in front of a girl.

“There’s some kind of misunderstanding here,” says actor Wagner Moura. “We’re American.”

“Ok,” responds the armed antagonist. “What kind of American are you?”

The premiere trailer comes on the heels of a similar movie called Leave The World Behind which showcases a cyberattack that shuts down power and collapses the United States.

Former President Barack Obama consulted and was a producer for Leave The World Behind, the film contains anti-white racism.

A film like this isn’t intended to provide excitement or entertainment. It’s not just a “what if…”. The intent is to help push America closer towards open conflict, by making conflict look and feel plausible. This film will help justify further state repression of MAGA. https://t.co/KlRk8L9NvI
