Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) had a hard time defending her past comments of former President Joe Biden’s mental acuity when confronted about the simmering issue on “Talk Easy with Sam Fragoso.”

Fragoso pressed Warren on why the Democratic Party is slow to pivot on how it operates when faced with stunning losses, like in 2016 and 2024. Warren said she does not like to dwell on the past if nothing is done to change actions for the future.

“Do you regret saying that President Biden had a mental acuity, he had a sharpness to him? You said that up until July of last year,” Fragoso noted.

The way Democrats handled the aftermath of Biden’s disastrous debate performance is still hotly contested within the party.

“I said what I believed to be true,” Warren replied. “I said I had not seen decline.”

In response, Fragoso gave a face that expressed shock and disbelief. “You did not see any decline from 2024 Joe Biden to 2021 Joe Biden?” Fragoso asked.

“Not when I said that,” Warren said, insisting Biden was “sharp and on his feet.”

Fragoso interjected that applauding Biden for simply being “on his feet” is not praise, since a president being able to stand is the bare minimum of what to expect from the leader of the free world.

“All right, fair enough. Fair enough,” Warren conceded before changing the subject to what Democrats in the Senate are going to do now that Donald Trump is president once again.

Fragoso then dropped the subject.

Alex Soros, son of radical left-wing billionaire George Soros who now controls his father’s vast network, told New York Magazine he believes Biden was “assassinated” by “the pundit class.”

“The fact of the matter is that if Donald Trump had gone on that debate stage and, you know, s**t his pants and had a heart attack, Republicans would still be there saying, ‘Yeah, he’s our guy,'” Soros said. “That meltdown that we had publicly is a discipline problem.”

Karmelo Anthony — the Texas teen charged with murdering high school athlete Austin Metcalf earlier this month — has been moved to an undisclosed location due to an “alarming increase in death threats,” KDFW-TV reported.

The Next Generation Action Network, a group advocating for Anthony, told the station the location switch occurred after court approval.

‘It is both heartbreaking and infuriating to see the depths of hate and bigotry still alive and well in our society.’

Anthony has been on house arrest since his April 14 release from jail when a judge lowered his bond from $1 million to $250,000. Police arrested Anthony and charged him with first-degree murder after Metcalf was fatally stabbed at an April 2 track meet at Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco.

NGAN told the station in a news release that in addition to death threats, there has been “continued harassment and physical intimidation targeted at the family’s home.”

Some of the harassment includes people visiting the Anthony family home, loitering and taking photos of the property, false food deliveries, disturbing mailings, including Austin Metcalf’s obituary, and people repeatedly circling the family home, taking photos and attempting to provoke fear and intimidation, the news release states.

Dominique Alexander, NGAN’s president, said a “dangerous atmosphere … has been created — an atmosphere fueled by organized hate, systemic racism, and intentional misinformation,” the station said, citing the news release.

“It is both heartbreaking and infuriating to see the depths of hate and bigotry still alive and well in our society,” Alexander added, according to KDFW. “No family should have to live under siege simply because they are demanding their constitutional rights. We will not be silent, and we will not back down. We are committed to doing whatever is necessary to protect this family and to ensure that justice is pursued without intimidation or fear.”

Alexander made headlines last week when he called Jeff Metcalf — the father of the murder victim — “disrespectful” for showing up at a Thursday news conference for the Anthony family. After Dallas police were called to the news conference, Jeff Metcalf was seen departing the venue.

Alexander told those gathered at the news conference that Metcalf “was not invited,” that “he knows that it’s inappropriate to be near [the Anthony] family,” and that his presence at the news conference “shows you all” his “character.”

Metcalf told the New York Post on Saturday that Alexander and Anthony’s parents at the news conference “should have pulled me up [to the front] and said, ‘We are so sorry. Our condolences.’ The only thing I would have said was, ‘Okay, can we pray together and show the world we’re united[?]'”

What’s more, just minutes after Metcalf was kicked out of the news conference, Frisco police said they responded to a report of a gunshot at his home — but soon determined the call was an attempt at “swatting,” which is a false call intended to cause harm through a police response.

‘Protect White Americans’ rally

NGAN said another reason Anthony was moved to an undisclosed location was because of a “Protect White Americans” rally held Saturday in Frisco, KDFW reported.

The rally took place in the parking lot of Kuykendall Stadium, where Metcalf was fatally stabbed, the station said. Jake Lang of Florida, charged in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, organized the rally, KDFW said.

The rally didn’t make much of a splash and was sparsely attended, the station said. Police appeared to arrest two counterprotesters — one for allegedly pepper-spraying a rally attendee and the other for interfering in the counterprotester’s arrest.

Lang said on X that he “broke into Kuykendall Stadium and got the first ever footage of Austin Metcalf’s blood stained on the stadium floor,” KDFW reported. Officials with the Frisco Independent School District said they filed trespassing charges against Lang for breaking into district property, the station reported, adding that Lang’s video was from “the home side of the stadium. The incident occurred on the visitor side, which can be seen across the field when he turns the camera off himself.”

In addition, video from the rally reportedly shows Lang speaking to Jeff Metcalf by phone and Metcalf telling Lang that he’s “part of the f**king problem” and that Lang is “trying to create more race divide than bridging the gap.” Lang is seen replying that Metcalf is exhibiting “white guilt.”

On the other side of things, Karmelo Anthony’s defenders have been going viral on social media, with one of them actually declaring that Metcalf “got exactly what he deserved — point blank, period.”

Anything else?

Soon after the April 2 stabbing, the arresting officer said Anthony reportedly told him, “I was protecting myself,” before the officer questioned him about the incident, WFAA-TV reported, citing the arrest affidavit.

Anthony also reportedly told the officer that Metcalf “put his hands on [him],” the station said, citing the affidavit, after which Anthony was handcuffed.

The arresting officer soon told a fellow officer arriving on the scene that he had the alleged suspect — and Anthony reportedly interjected, “I’m not alleged; I did it,” WFAA reported.

A witness reportedly noted to police that Metcalf — who competed for Memorial High School — told Anthony he had to move from under his team’s tent, the station said, citing the affidavit. With that Anthony opened his bag and reached inside, the witness told police, WFAA said.

“Touch me and see what happens,” Anthony told Metcalf, the station added, citing a witness.

Metcalf reportedly touched Anthony, the witness told an officer, and Anthony told Metcalf to punch him and see what would happen, WFAA reported.

The witness said Metcalf then reportedly grabbed Anthony, after which Anthony reportedly pulled out what the witness recalled as a black knife and stabbed Metcalf once in the chest before running away, according to the station, citing the affidavit.

Metcalf reportedly grabbed his chest and told others to get help, the witness told police, according to WFAA.

While Anthony was in the back seat of a police vehicle, an officer saw fresh blood on his left middle finger, the station said, citing the affidavit.

WFAA, citing the document, said Anthony while he was in the back seat of the vehicle also reportedly asked the officer if Metcalf was going to be OK. While being escorted to the squad car, Anthony asked an officer if his actions could be considered self-defense.

A GiveSendGo fund for Anthony sits at just over $500,000 as of Tuesday morning.

Anthony’s father contended in an interview with the New York Post that “everyone has already made their assumptions about my son, but he’s not what they’re making him out to be.” Anthony’s father added to the paper that his son “was not the aggressor” and is “a good kid. He works two jobs. He’s an A student, has a 3.7 GPA.”

Alexander during last week’s news conference ripped the Frisco ISD, claiming that district officials intend to expel Anthony — a senior at Centennial High School — prior to his graduation.

President Donald Trump’s Department of Education announced Monday that it will soon end the former Biden administration’s free ride for student loan borrowers in default.

The ED’s Office of Federal Student Aid will restart collections on May 5 for more than five million borrowers who have not made a payment for at least 360 days. Another four million borrowers — not yet considered to be in default — have not paid in 91 to 180 days.

“As a result, there could be almost 10 million borrowers in default in a few months. When this happens, almost 25 percent of the federal student loan portfolio will be in default,” read a press release from the ED.

‘The Biden Administration misled borrowers: the executive branch does not have the constitutional authority to wipe debt away, nor do the loan balances simply disappear.’

According to the department, 42.7 million student loan borrowers owe over $1.6 trillion. It noted that most borrowers are either delinquent or in an interest-free forbearance or deferment period.

“Only 38 percent of borrowers are in repayment and current on their student loans,” it said. “Resuming collections protects taxpayers from shouldering the cost of federal student loans that borrowers willingly undertook to finance their postsecondary education.”

The department has not collected on its defaulted student loans since March 2020, despite Congress mandating repayment in October 2023.

Trump’s ED slammed the former administration for its refusal to lift the pause on collections, which “kept borrowers in a confusing limbo.”

It further noted that under former President Joe Biden, the ED “failed to process applications for borrowers who applied for income-driven repayment and continued to push misguided ‘on-ramps’ and illegal loan forgiveness schemes to win points with borrowers and mask rising delinquency and default rates.”

Over the next couple of weeks, the FSA will notify those currently in default about the payment restart. It will begin sending notifications of wage garnishments “later this summer,” the department stated.

ED Secretary Linda McMahon said, “American taxpayers will no longer be forced to serve as collateral for irresponsible student loan policies.”

“The Biden Administration misled borrowers: the executive branch does not have the constitutional authority to wipe debt away, nor do the loan balances simply disappear,” she continued. “Hundreds of billions have already been transferred to taxpayers. Going forward, the Department of Education, in conjunction with the Department of Treasury, will shepherd the student loan program responsibly and according to the law, which means helping borrowers return to repayment—both for the sake of their own financial health and our nation’s economic outlook.”

Andrew Cuomo resigned as New York governor in August 2021 after a report by the state attorney general corroborated 11 women’s sexual harassment claims against him. Investigators said that by groping employees and “making numerous offensive comments of a suggestive and sexual nature,” the Democratic leader created a workplace “filled with fear and intimidation.”

Cuomo, likely counting on New Yorkers to forgive or forget, now has his sights set on Gracie Mansion, the home of the mayor of New York City.

While currently fighting socialist Assembly Member Zohran Mamdani for dominance in the lead-up to the Democratic primary election in New York City’s mayoral race, Cuomo may soon also have to fight federal criminal charges.

House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) referred Cuomo to the Department of Justice for criminal prosecution on Tuesday, evidently hoping Attorney General Pam Bondi will take the matter more seriously than her predecessor, who ignored the October referral of former Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio).

‘It was a calculated cover-up.’

In his October criminal referral to former Attorney General Merrick Garland, Wenstrup, chair of the now-disbanded Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, noted, “Mr. Cuomo provided false statements to the Select Subcommittee in what appears to be a conscious, calculated effort to insulate himself from accountability. The Department of Justice should consider Mr. Cuomo’s prior allegedly wrongful conduct when evaluating whether to charge him for the false statements.”

Comer again seeks to hold the former governor accountable for allegedly making criminally false statements regarding his manipulation of a supposedly independent report concerning New York’s COVID-19 nursing home tragedy.

“Andrew Cuomo is a man with a history of corruption and deceit, now caught red-handed lying to Congress during the Select Subcommittee’s investigation into the COVID-19 nursing home tragedy in New York,” Comer said in a statement.

“This wasn’t a slip-up,” continued Comer. “It was a calculated cover-up by a man seeking to shield himself from responsibility for the devastating loss of life in New York’s nursing homes. Let’s be clear: Lying to Congress is a federal crime.”

In March 2020, the Cuomo administration issued a directive stating, “No resident shall be denied re-admission or admission to [a nursing home] solely based on a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of COVID-19. [Nursing homes] are prohibited from requiring a hospitalized resident who is determined medically stable to be tested for COVID-19 prior to admission or readmission.”

The House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic noted in a September report that as a result of this directive, over 9,000 COVID-19 patients were readmitted or admitted to nursing homes between March 25, 2020, and May 8, 2020, “causing predictable but disastrous consequences.”

A February 2021 study undertaken by the Empire Center for Public Policy concluded that Cuomo’s March 25 guidance “was associated with a statistically significant increase in resident deaths” — deaths Cuomo and his administration were later found to have undercounted.

“Statewide, the findings imply that COVID-positive new admissions between late March and early May, which numbered 6,327, were associated with several hundred and possibly more than 1,000 additional resident deaths,” said the study.

‘What difference does it make in any dimension to anyone about anything?’

Adding insult to injury, congressional investigators determined that Cuomo “personally drafted and edited portions” of a Feb. 11, 2021, New York State Department of Health report that blamed the spike in nursing home deaths on nursing home staff rather than on his directive.

“An analysis of the timing of admissions versus fatalities shows that it could not be the driver of nursing home infections or fatalities,” said the report.

Last year, Cuomo testified before Congress in a seven-hour closed-door interview. The Democrat claimed he was unaware of his devastating March 25, 2020, nursing home directive and suggested that nursing homes were not actually forced to admit COVID-positive patients.

When asked about the real death count, Cuomo channeled another controversial Democrat’s callousness, telling congressional investigators, “Let’s say there’s a 3,000 differential, 2,500. Who cares? What difference does it make in any dimension to anyone about anything? Do you know what I’m saying?”

While evidently prickled by this and other comments, House Republicans took issue with the former governor’s claims that “(1) he was not involved in the review or drafting of this Report, (2) he did not have any discussions about a peer-review of the Report, and (3) he did not have any knowledge of individuals outside the NYSDOH reviewing the Report.”

All three claims are, according to the Comer, “demonstrably false.”

“Mr. Cuomo must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Comer said in his Monday statement.

Cuomo spokesman Rich Azzopardi said in a statement obtained by NBC News, “This is nothing more than a meritless press release that was nonsense last year and is even more so now. As the DOJ constantly reminds people, this kind of transparent attempt at election interference and law-fare violates their own policies.”

“Referrals like these — which have been also made against Planned Parenthood, Hillary Clinton, and Anthony Fauci — don’t have to be resubmitted with a new administration, so the only point to doing this is politics,” added Azzopardi.

Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) has been promoting his trip to El Salvador last week to meet Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the illegal immigrant who is currently sitting in an El Salvador prison.

President Donald Trump is not amused by Van Hollen’s leftist antics, and he made that clear in a Truth Social post, writing, “Senator Chris Van Hollen of Maryland looked like a fool yesterday standing in El Salvador begging for attention from the Fake News Media, or anyone. GRANDSTANDER!!!”

“I probably haven’t seen a public stunt face-plant as hard since my pal and friend Eric Bolling put ketchup on his hands to talk about how Obama had blood on his, and nobody got it,” Christopher Bedford, Blaze News senior editor for politics, tells Jill Savage and Matthew Peterson of “Blaze News Tonight.”

“That he would go and leave his constituents,” he continues, “leave Maryland behind, go to a foreign country, post TikTok videos about it, post on Twitter about it, post on Instagram about it, go to a prison to demand the release of someone who’s not one of his citizens, someone who’s been affiliated with a gang, someone who an immigration judge and an immigration appeals court has found is affiliated with a gang.”

Meanwhile, Bedford notes that a Maryland mother of five was beaten to death by an illegal immigrant and only got a minor press release in response. Rachel Morin was only 37 years old when she was found dead near the Ma & Pa Trail in Harford County on August 6, 2023, a day after she left for a jog.

“Just to show you where his priorities are,” Bedford says, mocking Van Hollen, “‘I’m gonna fly all the way down to El Salvador, and you’re going to pay for it. And these are my constituents, the foreigners of the world.’”

“I’ve long written that Democrats care more about foreigners than Americans. Not all Democrats, but a lot of their politicians care more about foreigners than they do about their actual Americans,” he adds.

The U.S. Supreme Court issued an order early Saturday morning blocking the Trump administration’s deportation of suspected foreign terrorists under the Alien Enemies Act. Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito alone dissented.

Justice Alito summarized the action thusly: “Literally in the middle of the night, the Court issued unprecedented and legally questionable relief without giving the lower courts a chance to rule, without hearing from the opposing party, within eight hours of receiving the application, with dubious factual support for its order, and without providing any explanation for its order.”

The president and his administration were by recent standards relatively quiet about the ruling — at least until Monday evening when President Donald Trump spoke out about the “ridiculous situation we are in.”

‘The Courts are intimidated by the Radical Left.’

Trump noted in a Truth Social post, “I’m doing what I was elected to do, remove criminals from our Country, but the Courts don’t seem to want me to do that.”

“My team is fantastic, doing an incredible job, however, they are being stymied at every turn by even the U.S. Supreme Court, which I have such great respect for, but which seemingly doesn’t want me to send violent criminals and terrorists back to Venezuela, or any other Country, for that matter — People that came here illegally!” continued the president. “The Courts are intimidated by the Radical Left who are, ‘playing the Ref.’ Great Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito correctly wants to dissolve the pause on deportations. He is right on this!”

Trump suggested further that a court-orchestrated failure to eject criminal noncitizens from the homeland poses an existential threat to the country itself.

“We cannot give everyone a trial, because to do so would take, without exaggeration, 200 years,” continued Trump. “We would need hundreds of thousands of trials for the hundreds of thousands of Illegals we are sending out of the Country. Such a thing is not possible to do. What a ridiculous situation we are in. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

‘We are confident we will ultimately prevail against the onslaught of meritless litigation brought by radical activists.’

In his dissent, which Justice Thomas joined and Trump referenced, Justice Alito noted that:

it was not clear whether the Supreme Court had jurisdiction; it was questionable whether “the applicants complied with the general obligation to seek emergency injunctive relief in the District Court before asking for such relief from an appellate court”; the majority appears to have violated the high court’s own rules in rushing to enter its overnight order;there was nothing concrete to support the claim the Venezuelan nationals were in imminent danger of removal;on the contrary, a Justice Department lawyer told Obama-nominated U.S. District Judge James Boasberg on Friday that no deportations were planned for Friday or Saturday; andwhile his colleagues in the majority provided class-wide relief, the district court never certified a class.

Following the Supreme Court’s overnight intervention, the Trump administration asked the Supreme Court to reverse course and reject the emergency request to block the deportations of suspected foreign terrorists under the AEA.

Solicitor General D. John Sauer said in the government’s Saturday filing that the injunction was “unprecedented,” and he stressed that “at a minimum, the Court should clarify that its administrative stay order does not preclude the government from removing detainees pursuant to authorities other than the Alien Enemies Act.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated on X, “President Trump promised the American people he would use all lawful measures to remove the threat of terrorist illegal aliens, like members of TdA, from our homeland.”

Leavitt added, “We are confident we will ultimately prevail against the onslaught of meritless litigation brought by radical activists who care more about the rights of these terrorist aliens than those of the American people.”

The momentum behind the Make America Healthy Again movement is strong. In fact, it’s so strong that RFK Jr. has now claimed that Health and Human Services will announce multiple new studies on the role of environmental toxins in autism within only three weeks.

“Within three weeks, and probably, we’re hoping in two weeks, we’re going to announce a series of new studies to identify precisely what the environmental toxins are that are causing it. This has not been done before, and we’re going to do it in a thorough and comprehensive way, and we’re going to get back with an answer to the American people very quickly,” RFK Jr. said in his announcement.

Liz Wheeler of “The Liz Wheeler Show” couldn’t be happier.

“I love it because he’s so committed to giving us an answer. And he’s just being radically transparent about his process,” Wheeler says, noting that this is the biggest announcement from the Trump administration thus far.

“The point, though, is to differentiate between the monetary cost and the human cost of autism is incredibly important,” she continues. “It sounds so bold to say this, but autism is a very profitable business, and I’m not just talking about Big Pharma.”

“It’s hospital systems that deal with health crises that are due to autism diagnosis, doctors, and I’m talking both doctor’s networks and individual practitioners, we’re talking insurance companies, we’re talking therapists,” she explains. “There is an enormous infrastructure that profits off of autism.”

Which is why it sadly makes sense that those who profit from the illness are not pleased that RFK Jr. is attempting to find the real cause of it.

“He is going to need our support if he is going to be able to produce the results from the studies that are going to make a difference in our society, because there are many, many forces that are trying to impede him,” Wheeler says.

“But really, it’s not just him; what they’re impeding is the health and flourishing of our children,” she adds.

A recent case of a U.S. citizen being arrested by U.S. Border Patrol in Nogales, Arizona, and then held for 10 days before being released caused another outcry among leftists who claim it’s another example of racial profiling under the Trump administration.

However, the I-213 document from the Department of Homeland Security shows that Border Patrol had many reasons to believe 19-year Jose Hermosillo was not a citizen of the U.S. and had crossed the southern border illegally. Hermosillo did not have identification on him when he was arrested, and according to the document, he stated he was not a U.S. citizen and was in the country illegally.

‘Q. OF WHAT COUNTRY ARE YOU A CITIZEN? A. MEXICO’

AZPM reported that Hermosillo was visiting Tucson and “was lost and walking” near Nogales, which is an hour’s drive from Tucson, when he was arrested by Border Patrol on April 8. His girlfriend’s aunt Grace Layva said the family called numerous places looking for him, eventually discovering he had been placed in a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility.

Once his family provided a birth certificate and Social Security card, Hermosillo was released, and the case against him was dropped on Thursday.

“He did say he was a U.S. citizen, but they didn’t believe him,” Layva said. “I think they would have kept him. I think they would have if they would have not got that information yesterday in the court and gave that to ICE and the Border Patrol. He probably would have been deported already to Mexico.”

Despite Layva’s claims, Hermosillo apparently told agents a different story. According to the I-213 form obtained by Blaze News, Hermosillo stated numerous times he was citizen of Mexico and had crossed the southern border illegally:

Hermosillo said he was in the U.S. to look for work and planned to stay in the country for 20 years. He claimed he had been arrested by Border Patrol the same day he crossed illegally.

The fact that Hermosillo appears to be a U.S. citizen raises questions as to why he did not give agents his correct citizenship information.

There’s an undeniable feeling of the air coming out of the balloon of discourse on x.com. Some of this is natural enough. We can’t be at a fever pitch all the time, and now that the most important election of all time is over, we’ve all earned at least a breather.

But there’s a deeper, more sweeping effect at work.

The Perfume Nationalist just laid it out as well as anyone in a long and bracing X thread. “It may have taken seven years but I’ve reached this point,” he begins. “The plot lines are so utterly repellent because it ended, we won. The things you all fight about are completely made up. We won and you can just let Trump do everything.”

Trump’s win shifted the center of political gravity away from the ideological intelligentsia toward not just ‘tech’ but to the agentic, whether human or machine.

“I don’t need to know which malignant groupchat dirtbag leftist who was based-curious in 2021 has written a substack renouncing their dalliance with the right,” he goes on, subtweeting a raft of right-wing-disenchanted online personalities whose grievances and disappointments were recently aired out by a lefty New York Times columnist. “You should’ve known they were bad at the time. You didn’t trust the plan. We won. The side of good won. There was a happy ending. The big Snow White book closed on the page that said THE END. You’re free now you can go read a book. There’s nothing here since it ended.”

The rant expands from there. “Everyone is supposed to be happy at THE END like Beauty and the Beast where the household appliances are changed back into people. But here you chose to stay household appliances.”

“Everyone anonymous has an incredible real job as a lawyer or a censor at the libtard factory. You don’t even have to shill your wares here.”

What is going on is that “the right” or the “anti-woke” rebel alliance became so intellectually top-heavy during the bad old Biden years that many of its leading and most popular figures defined the identity of the movement as an intellectual one, a talking one, one that not only won by talking but could only talk, not do — at best, have ideas and then talk about them.

So it became extremely important to have the right ideas, the very best and most correct ideas. But at the same time, paradoxically, it became essential to the movement and its leading online figures that their incredibly superior ideas also be strangely ineffective or unpopular — in a constant state of existential threat and crisis, demanding perpetual belligerent defense and pedantic exposition.

Trump’s win shifted the center of political gravity away from the ideological intelligentsia toward not just “tech” but to the agentic, whether human or machine. What is especially interesting is that this shift not only imperils the identity and the lifestyle of the perpetually arrogant and embattled “wrongthinker” who is ackshually right about everything; so too does it undermine the basic value proposition of X as the so-called “global public square” — transparently an onboarding scheme to achieve a new cyborg sort of “collective consciousness.”

There is a lot of talk in certain online circles about the antichrist-like vibe of this swarm consciousness and the identity that arises from it, but the naive or practical version of the notion must also be acknowledged, namely that our human consciousness is always already relational — and so far, at least, the printing press and the television have done a lot more than digital technology to encourage and accelerate violent, destructive substitutes for the shared spiritual consciousness of Christian communion.

And whereas print and television unleashed an overwhelming world war on words, Trump’s win amid today’s digital conditions augurs the paradoxical corrective that, if we’re headed into a golden age, perhaps it’s because we’re rediscovering how silence is golden.

That leaves the question of what will become of X, the internet, or AI itself if the blather and discord subside and the bots become heirs to a desertified digital commons … and who will actually care!

As the 2025 fiscal cliff approaches, key provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act are set to expire — triggering one of the largest planned tax hikes in U.S. history. If Congress fails to act, the hardest hit won’t be billionaires or Wall Street elites. It will be working- and middle-class Americans who will get hammered.

For years, the left has pushed a false narrative about the TCJA, passed in 2017 under President Donald Trump. They claim it was a “giveaway to the rich.” Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) even labeled it a “wealth transfer” from working families to millionaires and billionaires. That claim is flatly untrue. The data from the Internal Revenue Service tells a very different story.

Democrats say they care about working families. If that’s true, why are they standing in the way of the very law that lowered the tax burden on millions of middle-income Americans?

A new policy study from the Heartland Institute, which I co-authored, analyzed IRS data from 2017 through 2022 to evaluate the real impact of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Although the law passed in 2017, it didn’t take effect until 2018. Using the most recent available tax year (2022), we compared data before and after the law took effect to determine how much taxpayers saved across each IRS income bracket.

Since IRS data for 2023 and 2024 isn’t available yet, we used historical averages to project savings for those years.

Big tax cuts for the middle class

The results are clear. The TCJA cut personal income tax rates across the board. But the biggest winners — by percentage saved — were working- and middle-class Americans earning between $30,000 and $200,000 a year. Over the period studied, these families saved thousands.

Here’s the breakdown: From 2018 through 2024, we project that households earning between $50,000 and $75,000 saved around $6,300 in federal income taxes. Those making between $75,000 and $100,000 saved about $8,300. And families earning between $100,000 and $200,000 saved nearly $13,500.

That’s not a giveaway to the rich. That’s real relief for working families.

While high-income earners benefited too, their relief was modest compared to the savings middle-class families received.

In 2022, filers making between $5 million and $10 million saw their federal tax bills fall by just 2.3% compared to 2017. Meanwhile, households earning between $40,000 and $50,000 saved nearly 19%. That’s not trickle-down economics — that’s targeted relief for working Americans.

Overall, the income groups that saw the largest percentage tax cuts were those earning less than $75,000. Within that group, even the lowest-performing bracket — households making between $50,000 and $75,000 — still saved a little over 16% in 2022 compared to pre-TCJA levels. Every other bracket in the under-$75,000 range saved at least 18%.

Perhaps most striking of all, our study shows that the TCJA actually made the federal tax code more progressive. It shifted more of the income tax burden onto high earners while easing it for working families — the very opposite of what critics have claimed.

The IRS data from 2017 to 2022 shows a clear trend. After the TCJA took effect, households earning less than $200,000 paid a smaller share of all personal income taxes, while households earning more than $200,000 picked up a larger portion of the national tab.

Debunking the deficit myth

This contradicts a favorite claim of the left — that the Trump tax cuts would drain federal revenue and explode the deficit. Yes, the deficit has worsened since the TCJA took effect, but not because tax revenues collapsed. The truth is just the opposite.

In 2017, the IRS collected about $3.5 trillion in total taxes. By 2022, that number had jumped to nearly $5 trillion. Personal income tax collections alone reached $2.13 trillion in 2022 — up half a trillion dollars since the TCJA became law.

The TCJA didn’t starve the Treasury. Federal income tax revenues have grown significantly since 2017. What has fueled the national debt and deficit is not a lack of revenue, but out-of-control government spending.

The clock is ticking

Middle-class tax relief is scheduled to expire at the end of the year. If Congress fails to act, the fallout will be severe. Many middle-income families could face tax hikes of 18% or more, costing them thousands of dollars over the next few years. Higher earners would face even steeper increases — an economic drag that would ripple across the entire country.

Democrats say they care about working families. If that’s true, why are they standing in the way of the very law that lowered the tax burden on millions of middle-income Americans? Why are they trying to undo the progress that helped working people climb the economic ladder?

The answer is plain: politics. Democrats have opposed the TCJA from the beginning — not because it failed, but because Donald Trump signed it into law.

But the facts don’t lie. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act worked. It lowered tax rates, fueled economic growth, and helped everyday Americans keep more of what they earned.

If Congress doesn’t step in soon and make the cuts permanent, the middle class will once again be left holding the bill.

While the Democrats fight tooth and nail to protect illegal immigrants, a resurfaced 2008 clip of Hillary Clinton reveals that once upon a time, they believed that what Trump is trying to do is the correct move.

“I think we’ve got to have tough conditions. Tell people to come out of the shadows if they’ve committed a crime. Deport them, no questions asked. They’re gone,” Clinton said in the 2008 clip.

“If they’ve been working, and are law-abiding, we should say, ‘Here are the conditions for you staying: You have to pay a stiff fine because you came here illegally, you have to pay back taxes, and you have to try to learn English, and you have to wait in line,’” she added.

“I don’t know who that was,” Keith Malinak of “Pat Gray Unleashed” comments, shocked.

“Head of the Republican National Committee?” Pat Gray jokes, adding, “That’s amazing, jeez.”

Clinton’s comments eerily seemed to be ripped from the same belief system as the Trump sdministration, as a recent statement by White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt reflects a similar sentiment.

“All foreign nationals present in the United States longer than 30 days must register with the federal government. Failure to comply with this is a crime punishable by fines, imprisonment, or both, As President Trump and Secretary Noem have both said, ‘If you register and you leave now, you choose to self-deport, you may have the opportunity to return later legally,’” Leavitt said.

“If not, you will be arrested, fined, deported, never to return to our country again. The Trump administration will continue to enforce our nation’s immigration laws. We will not pick and choose which laws to enforce. We must know who is in our country for the safety and the security of our homeland and for all American citizens,” she added.

“Yep, pretty reasonable,” Gray comments.

An unprovoked attack in Phoenix led to a victim’s right eye being ripped out of its socket by a 39-year-old homeless suspect, according to Arizona police.

Daniel Lanks allegedly attacked the victim on April 11 at about 1 a.m. near the intersection of 48th Street and Broadway Road, according to court documents.

The victim was able to get to his home, where he had his girlfriend call police. When they arrived, they said they found the victim holding his eyeball in a bloodied towel.

The victim said that Lanks grabbed him from behind and forcefully ripped out his eyeball. Lanks then punched the man after the victim fell to the ground, which fractured his jaw, according to court documents.

The victim was able to get to his home, where he had his girlfriend call police. When they arrived, they said they found the victim holding his eyeball in a bloodied towel.

“When asked to removed [sic] the towel, officers observed the victim’s eyeball was completely removed from his eye socket, hanging down his face,” officers wrote.

Police said they arrested Lanks three days later near 23rd and Dunlap Avenues. The victim was able to pick Lanks out of a lineup.

Lanks allegedly told police to “shut the f**k up” and said he did not understand his Miranda rights.

He was booked into jail on aggravated assault and held on a cash bond of $500,000.

The victim said the attack has devastated his life.

“The victim stated this loss of the use of his right eye and fractured jaw will forever impact his quality of life and is unsure if he will be able to work again or perform many basic life functions,” said court documents. “The victim stated that during this incident he was in fear for his life and safety, believing that Daniel could have killed him and stated the attack was completely unprovoked, and he did not threaten Daniel, challenge him, and did not have any form of weapons to be perceived as a threat.”

A KSAZ-TV report found that Lanks had been released from jail on his own recognizance on charges of aggravated assault and organized retail theft just a week before the alleged horrific incident.

Five-thousand four-hundred eighty.

Thanks to the prayers of St. Bridget of Sweden and her close relationship with Jesus Christ, we have this number to contemplate: the 5,480 blows struck at the body of Christ during His Passion. Strikes meted out with whips, fists, iron nails, rods, and tools of torture such as the cat-o’-nine-tails.

This almost unbearable statistic should rouse the Christian faithful to contemplate the staggering suffering Christ endured to redeem a sinful humanity.

From her childhood in the early 14th century, St. Bridget had special devotion to Christ’s wounds. She had an early vision of Christ on the cross of Calvary, shedding blood for the remission of sins. From that time on, Christ’s Passion took on a central role in Bridget’s life.

‘I beheld His body, bruised and beaten to the very ribs.’

Bridget often prayed to Christ to reveal how many times He was struck during His Passion and crucifixion. One day during the year 1350, He appeared to her before a crucifix inside the Church of St. Paul in Rome.

“I received 5,480 blows on My Body,” he told her. “If you wish to honor them in some way, say 15 Our Fathers and 15 Hail Marys with the following prayers for a whole year. When the year is up, you will have honored each one of My Wounds.”

The mystical dialogue between Christ and St. Bridget adds great depth and detail to the story of Christ’s Passion and death. Bridget received revelations from Christ and the Virgin Mary that were collected into eight volumes and a supplemental volume. They include more graphic details than are typically found in popular art depictions of Christ’s Passion.

St. Bridget was born in 1303. Eight children were born from her 28-year marriage to Ulf Gudmarsson, the governor of an important Swedish district. After the death of her husband, St. Bridget settled near the Cistercian Monastery of Alvastra. She founded a religious order known as the Bridgettines. Pope John Paul II named her co-patroness of Europe in 1999.

“Here began the divine revelations that were to accompany her for the rest of her life,” Pope Benedict XVI wrote in 2010. “Bridget always had a special devotion to Christ’s Passion, contemplating in it God’s infinite love for human beings. She boldly places these words on the lips of the Lord who speaks to her: ‘O my friends, I love my sheep so tenderly that were it possible I would die many other times for each one of them that same death I suffered for the redemption of all.'”

Bridget wrote in stirring and sorrowful tones on the sufferings of Christ.

‘Were it possible I would die many other times for each one of them.’

“Thou wast inhumanly scourged and wounded with grievous wounds, that Thy most innocent skin and flesh were intolerably torn,” she wrote. “And thus afflicted and tortured, Thou didst hang on the cross, O my most sweet Jesus, and in excessive pain didst patiently and humbly await the hour of death.”

John Paul II said St. Bridget’s revelations are worthy of belief. “The Church, which recognized Bridget’s holiness without ever pronouncing on her individual revelations, has accepted the overall authenticity of her interior experience,” the pontiff wrote in his motu proprio “Spes Aedificandi.”

St. Bridget also revealed messages from the Virgin Mary on her sufferings watching her dearly beloved Son tortured at the pillar.

“He stripped Himself, and Himself stretched His hands to the pillar, which His enemies, pitiless, bound,” Mary said, according to one revelation. “Now, while tied there He had no clothing, but stood as He was born, and suffered the shame of His nakedness.

“At the first blow, I, who stood nearest, fell as if dead, and on recovering my senses I beheld His body bruised and beaten to the very ribs, so that His ribs could be seen; and what was still more bitter, when the scourge was raised, His very flesh was furrowed by the thongs.”

The crown of thorns caused massive bleeding that made it difficult for Christ to see.

“This done, they fitted a crown of thorns to His head, which so acutely wounded the venerable head of my Son that His eyes were filled, His ears stopped up, with the blood that streamed down, and His whole beard matted with the gore,” Mary said.

“His skin was so tender and fair that it could not be slightly struck without blood issuing at once. His blood was so fresh that it could be seen in His clear skin.”

Mary described receiving the body of her son from the cross: “Then He was taken down from the cross, and I received Him into my bosom, like a leper, and all livid, for His eyes were dead and full of blood, His mouth cold as snow, His beard like cords, His face contracted. His hands were so stiffened that they could not be raised above the navel.”

Mary said she had wanted to cross Christ’s arms on his chest, but the rigor made this impossible. This is borne out in the Shroud of Turin, Christ’s likely burial cloth, which shows his hands crossed on his stomach.

St. Bridget died in 1373 and was solemnly canonized a saint by Pope Boniface IX in 1391. She had left Sweden in 1349 and went to Rome. In 1371, she made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

The detail contained in St. Bridget’s revelations is similar to visions related by Venerable Sister Anne Catherine Emmerich (1774–1824), who received extensive insights on the life of Christ and His blessed mother.

In one vision, Sister Emmerich described the half-intoxicated torturers at the scourging at the pillar.

“Jesus’ body was livid, brown, blue, and red, and entirely covered with swollen cuts. His sacred blood was running down on the ground,” she said. “He trembled and shuddered. Derision and mockery assailed Him on all sides.”

“Under their furious blows, the swollen welts on Jesus’ sacred body were torn and rent; His blood spurted around so that the arms of His tormentors were sprinkled with it,” Sister Emmerich said. “Jesus moaned and prayed and shuddered in His agony.”

She described some of the instruments of torture that were shown in painful detail in the 2004 film “The Passion of the Christ.”

“The last two scourgers struck Jesus with whips consisting of small chains, or straps, fastened to an iron handle, the ends furnished with iron points, or hooks,” she said. “They tore off whole pieces of skin and flesh from His ribs. Oh, who can describe the awful barbarity of that spectacle!”

The Virgin Mary described to St. Bridget the wounds to her own heart watching her Son treated with such barbarity. “At the death of my Son, I was like a woman having her heart pierced with five lances,” Mary said.

The first lance was the “shameful and opprobrious nudity” at the scourging pillar. The second, accusations that Christ was traitor and liar. The third lance, she said, was the crown of thorns that “so cruelly pierced” His sacred head. The fourth, “His piteous voice on the cross when He cried to His Father, saying, ‘O Father why has Thou forsaken Me?’” The fifth lance, Mary said, “was His most cruel death.”

15 Prayers to Honor Christ’s Wounds

Christ gave St. Bridget a 15-prayer devotion for anyone wishing to honor the sacred wounds of His Passion. The devotion does not include the traditional Five Holy Wounds of Christ (nail holes in left and right hands, nail holes in right and left feet, and piercing of His side), which are the subject of other devotions.

Over the course of a year, this devotion honors each of the 5,475 wounds of Christ.

Prayer I

O Jesus Christ, eternal sweetness of them that hope in Thee, joy exceeding all joy and all desire, salvation, and love of sinners, who hast declared it to be Thy delight to be with the children of men, [Thou who wast] made man for man in the end of time; remember all Thy premeditation and interior grief which Thou didst endure in Thy human body at the approach of the time of Thy most saving Passion, preordained in Thy divine heart.

Remember the sadness and the bitterness which, as Thou Thyself didst testify, Thou didst feel in Thy soul when at the Last Supper with Thy disciples Thou didst give them Thy Body and Blood, didst wash their feet, and sweetly consoling them, foretell Thy imminent Passion. Remember all the fear, anguish, and grief which Thou didst endure in Thy delicate body before the Passion of the cross when, after Thy thrice-repeated prayer and bloody sweat, Thou wast betrayed by Thy disciple Judas, taken by a chosen people, accused by false witnesses, unjustly judged by three judges, condemned innocent in the chosen city, at Paschal time, in the bloom of youth, stripped of Thy own clothing and clothed in the garments of another, buffeted, Thy face and eyes veiled, smitten with blows, bound to the pillar, scourged, crowned with thorns, struck with a reed on the head, and torn with numberless other acts of violence.

Give me, O Lord God, I beseech Thee, before I die, in memory of these Thy passions before the cross, a true contrition, true confession, worthy satisfaction and remission of all my sins. Amen.

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) said that because of El Salvador’s actions in the detainment of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal alien, Congress should be looking at removing federal aid to the country and warned that Democrats will remember countries that helped the Trump administration when they are back in power.

During his interview on “Pod Save America,” Raskin said, “We should be talking about cutting aid to El Salvador right now.” He further added that he does not believe El Salvador President Nayib Bukele’s claim that he cannot return Abrego Garcia to the United States.

‘That’s an assault on our Constitution and our people.’

“He’s our legal agent in this dubious arrangement they’ve created,” Raskin said, referring to Bukele. “Of course he’s got the power to return him. So he and Trump are just acting like a couple of dictators having fun at the expense of a man’s life and his family, and they want to be able to do that all over the place.”

Raskin said Democrats need to do a better job of connecting with democratic movements and governments across the world to “try to prevent the spread of the lawlessness and the fascist chaos that has been unleashed against us.”

“If and when we come back to power, and we will, we are not going to look kindly upon people who facilitated, to use the word of the day, who facilitated authoritarianism in our country. That’s an assault on our Constitution and our people,” he continued.

Democrats maintain that the Trump administration is violating the Supreme Court’s recent ruling on the matter, where they said the U.S. must “facilitate” Abrego Garcia’s return. The same ruling also noted the “scope of the term ‘effectuate’ in the district court’s order is, however, unclear, and may exceed the district court’s authority,” and that the lower court “should clarify its directive, with due regard for the deference owed to the executive branch in the conduct of foreign affairs.”

As of Monday, four House Democrats are in El Salvador to continue advocating for Abrego Garcia’s release after Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) did the same last week. Reps. Robert Garcia (Calif.), Maxwell Frost (Fla.), Yassamin Ansari (Ariz.), and Maxine Dexter (Ore.) say they are there to continue the conversation and not let Abrego Garcia, who the U.S. government says is an MS-13 gang member, be forgotten.

President Donald Trump excoriated Jerome Powell, the chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve, and the stock market responded by continuing to shed value.

The market has lost trillions of dollars in value since Trump commenced his plan to issue massive tariffs to raise revenues and lower the trade deficit with U.S. trading partners.

‘There can be a SLOWING of the economy unless Mr. Too Late, a major loser, lowers interest rates, NOW.’

On Thursday, Trump accused Powell of waiting too long to lower interest rates at the Fed, and he continued his attack on Monday.

“’Preemptive Cuts’ in Interest Rates are being called for by many. With Energy Costs way down, food prices (including Biden’s egg disaster!) substantially lower, and most other ‘things’ trending down, there is virtually No Inflation,” said Trump on social media.

“With these costs trending so nicely downward, just what I predicted they would do, there can almost be no inflation, but there can be a SLOWING of the economy unless Mr. Too Late, a major loser, lowers interest rates, NOW,” he continued. “Europe has already ‘lowered’ seven times. Powell has always been ‘To Late,’ except when it came to the Election period when he lowered in order to help Sleepy Joe Biden, later Kamala, get elected. How did that work out?”

After his comments, the S&P 500 index dropped by 3% for a total drop of 12% since the start of the year. The Dow Jones Industrial Average has lost about 10%, while the Nasdaq has fallen by 18%.

Powell had said in remarks at the Economic Club of Chicago that he believed the economy was very strong but that the future was cloudy because of volatility caused by the president’s sudden and large-scale tariff policies.

Trump had previously suggested that Powell would soon be terminated from the position. Powell has previously said that the president cannot legally fire the chair of the Federal Reserve, and he reiterated that position Thursday.

“Generally speaking, Fed independence is very widely understood and supported in Washington, in Congress, where it really matters,” Powell said.

“We’re never going to be influenced by any political pressure,” said Powell. “People can say whatever they want. … That’s not a problem, but we will do what we do strictly without consideration of political or any other extraneous factors.”

In June 2022, Powell said the Fed’s goal was to slowly ease the pain of inflation, which was at 8% at the time, down to the more manageable level of 2%.

Jason Whitlock sums up Karmelo Anthony’s alleged fatal stabbing of Austin Metcalf as follows: “A 17-year-old brought a knife to a high school event and stabbed someone over a typical teenage disagreement.”

Even though “this thing is so clear-cut,” the left is bent on using this atrocity to fuel a race war, and thus far, it’s working.

Some are trying to justify Anthony’s actions by saying Metcalf started it; Metcalf put his hands on Anthony; Metcalf called him the N-word.

But even if all three of those things are true, it still wouldn’t justify Anthony’s actions.

“I don’t care if Austin Metcalf grabbed this dude’s arm, grabbed his book pack,” says Jason. “I’ve been called the N-word by black people and white people throughout my life. Never grabbed a knife and stabbed anyone, never pulled a gun and shot anyone.”

“If you have that little self-control, if you’re that easily triggered … you need to be on a reservation somewhere locked away from the rest of humanity and society that has more emotional control than that and doesn’t buy into a culture that says any disrespect must be met with more disrespect,” he adds.

This “free Karmelo Anthony” “insanity” that we’re seeing, however, is “scripted insanity.” The whole ordeal, from the stories about Anthony’s family living a lavish lifestyle using the GiveSendGo funds to the support messages they’re receiving, is all part of a psyop that depends on stoking white fury.

The best thing white Americans can do is not play into it by adopting the same racial tactics.

Jason points to January 6 defendant Jake Lang as an example. While he respects Lang for “what he went through on January 6,” organizing a protest in Frisco with the slogan “protect white Americans” makes it clear that he doesn’t see “the big picture.”

A protest that “drums up more racial division” is exactly what they want.

“They want Charlottesville 2.0; they want January 6 2.0; they want some sort of race war, and they’re going to send agitators to make sure that happens,” says Jason.

They need a racial conflict to ignite the next phase of their plan: relocating Anthony’s trial.

“The argument coming out of that will be we got to change venues — you can’t have this trial in Collin County; you can’t have this trial in Denton County. … We have to move this trial somewhere where we can get more black jurors on the jury,” predicts Jason.

“They want jury nullification; they want a mistrial; they want a hung jury. They know this kid is guilty, but they also know that black Americans have been so programmed, have been so brainwashed into anything that hurts white people is good for black people,” he explains.

This is why “they’re happy that Jake Lang is leading a ‘protect white Americans’ rally in Frisco, Texas.”

An employee of Minnesota Democrat Gov. Tim Walz’s administration has been caught on camera vandalizing multiple Tesla vehicles with his keys while walking his dog, according to police.

Dylan Bryan Adams was arrested for allegedly damaging several Tesla vehicles, according to the New York Post.

‘There’s high-quality video on all of these cars. It’s committing a crime with a spotlight on you.’

Adams is reportedly a 33-year-old fiscal policy analyst for Minnesota state.

The Minneapolis Police Department said the suspect is accused of damaging at least six Tesla vehicles, resulting in more than $20,000 in damages.

During a recent press conference, the Minneapolis Police Department shared four videos recorded by the cameras on the vehicles of the suspect vandalizing Tesla vehicles with what appears to be a key.

Three of the surveillance videos show a man walking his dog and then keying Tesla electric cars. The fourth shows the man scratching something into the Tesla at a Target retail store parking lot.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara noted that it wasn’t difficult to make an arrest because Tesla vehicles are equipped with surveillance cameras.

“Downtown, certainly, there are a lot of cameras, and the city does have cameras in a lot of the neighborhoods around the city. And when we do have problems in areas, oftentimes we deploy mobile trailers with video. These cases in particular have high-quality video right from the vehicle itself,” O’Hara said.

O’Hara described Tesla vehicles as “rolling surveillance vehicles with the cameras that they have.”

O’Hara said vandalizing a Tesla equipped with surveillance cameras is “frankly, … pretty stupid.”

“There’s high-quality video on all of these cars,” O’Hara stated. “It’s committing a crime with a spotlight on you.”

When asked if he believes the Tesla attacks by the suspect in custody were politically motivated, O’Hara replied, “Obviously, this has been a problem nationwide, and I don’t think that’s a coincidence. But we cannot speak specifically regarding these cases. But it’s pretty well-reported and obvious that this is a nationwide problem right now.”

O’Hara noted that no other brands of cars are being targeted with vandalism at as high a rate as Tesla vehicles.

O’Hara said the suspect likely committed “felony-level property damage,” and he added that the damage is “hurting the individual victims in these cases” and “hurting the people in this city that own these cars.”

Police said the suspect does not have a prior criminal record.

O’Hara said police believe there is another suspect who vandalized a Tesla vehicle in Minneapolis.

The attacks on Tesla vehicles came after Gov. Tim Walz was slammed online last month for celebrating the stock of Tesla falling.

“Some of you know this. On the iPhone they’ve got that little stock app; I added Tesla to it to give me a little boost during the day. $225 and dropping,” Walz said at a rally last month.

Walz ended up walking back the comments after it was revealed that there is a heavy share of Tesla stock in the state’s pension fund, with over 200,000 shares of the electric vehicle company.

Walz claimed that his remark was a “joke.”

“I have to be careful about being a smartass. I was making a joke,” Walz said. “These people have no sense of humor. They are the most literal people. My point was, they’re all mad, and I said something I … probably shouldn’t have about a company.”

Tesla CEO Elon Musk fired back at the Democratic governor of Minnesota.

Democrats and liberals have lashed out at Elon Musk as a reaction to the Department of Government Efficiency attempting to spotlight wasteful and fraudulent federal spending.

There have been several violent attacks on Tesla vehicles and dealerships by left-wing extremists in recent months.

As Blaze News reported last week, a New Mexico man was hit with federal criminal charges by the U.S. Department of Justice after the suspect was accused of carrying out arson attacks against the New Mexico Republican Party’s headquarters and a Tesla dealership in the state.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office in Florida announced that it busted five illegal aliens tied to the violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua.

Sheriff Grady Judd detailed the arrests during a Friday press briefing, explaining that two of the suspects were confirmed TDA members and the other three were identified as “associates.”

‘PCSO detectives obtained arrest warrants charging all five with robbery, which is upgraded to a first degree felony due to their gang status.’

The men, who are reportedly all in the U.S. illegally, were accused of a string of liquor store robberies in Florida.

The sheriff’s office stated that the illegal aliens attempted to steal $3,200 worth of “high-end liquor” from a Sam’s Club in March. When a store employee tried to stop the robbery, the men rammed her with the shopping cart, injuring her hand, Judd said.

The illegal aliens reportedly disabled their getaway vehicle after driving over a concrete curb in the store’s parking lot. They left the car behind and fled in an Uber, according to the sheriff’s office.

“Two of the suspects were positively identified and detectives determined they were incarcerated in Osceola County for a different robbery,” a press release from the sheriff’s office read. “Those suspects are Samuel Oglis David Anthony Charle, 25, and Ildemaro Miguel Escalona Mendoza, 26. Once the three other suspects were identified – Alexis Jose Rodriguez-Benavides, 27, Darwins Smith Vasquez Leon, 28, and Ramon Jesus Carpintero-Luna, 26 – PCSO detectives obtained arrest warrants charging all five with robbery, which is upgraded to a first degree felony due to their gang status.”

The men have been tied to “over three dozen retail thefts” across the state. The total losses from their theft reportedly reached over $30,000, the sheriff’s office estimated.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement filed detainers against all five of the suspects. They remain in local custody while facing first-degree felony charges. Grady noted that more charges are expected.

During the press briefing, Grady closed his remarks by urging President Donald Trump to take executive action to speed up the deportation process.

“We’ve got to have policy change to make an appreciable difference. We got the same old clunky system that’s ineffective at best and horribly broken in reality. And to try to move it along, it is just slow,” Grady stated. “The feds are helping and working hard on the local level. They don’t have the policy change that allows this to speed up, and the word’s got to get to the president.”

Former Senator and former Democrat Kyrsten Sinema mocked the continuing crisis of the Democratic Party in Arizona after party leaders publicly aired out their dirty laundry.

Arizona Democratic Party Chair Robert Branscomb II accused Democrat Sens. Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallego of trying to intimidate and threaten him over his pick for the executive director of the party. Kelly and Gallego responded by declaring that Branscomb had lost their trust.

Sinema has used her social media account to mock Democrats’ use of the filibuster since losing control of the Senate in the 2024 election.

Sinema, who left the party and registered as an independent in Dec. 2022, ridiculed the Democrats’ implosion by responding on social media with a popcorn emoji, suggesting she was viewing the feud with pleasure.

Branscomb had emailed state committee members on Saturday in a long and detailed message that accused the senators of racial undertones in their hostile response to the new hiring.

“The idea that both Arizona senators would withdraw support because I did not choose their preferred candidate is not only troubling — it’s a threat to the integrity and independence of our party,” he wrote. “I will not be coerced, and I will not be silenced.”

In response, Democratic Party Vice Chairman Aaron Marquez wrote an email accusing Branscomb of making false claims.

Democrats have been reeling since the devastating results of the 2024 election where they lost the Oval Office, lost the U.S. Senate, and failed to win control of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Branscomb had claimed that a top staffer from Kelly’s office told Branscomb that the election “was the result of ‘black folks coming after Latinos.’” Gallego, Kelly, and other top officials had backed another candidate named Yolanda Bejarano for the party chair election, but she lost to Branscomb, who is African-American.

During her time in Congress, Sinema had earned the ire of her party after she and fellow moderate Joe Manchin thwarted Democrats’ plans to pass extreme legislation, especially in support of the filibuster in the Senate. Gallego has since won her seat after she left office in January.

Sinema has used her social media account to mock Democrats’ use of the filibuster since losing control of the Senate in the 2024 election. She was so dedicated to the project that she created a spreadsheet to keep track of hypocritical Democrats who had previously attacked her.

“Maybe it isn’t an old Jim Crow relic, after all,” she joked after Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) spoke for 25 minutes against Republican policies in a filibuster celebrated by many on the left as historic.
