Federal judge issues temporary restraining order against Trump deporting people under Alien Enemies Act

The mass deportation plans of the Trump administration have once again been stymied by a federal judge issuing a temporary restraining order.

This time, it was U.S. District Court Judge Charlotte N. Sweeney of Denver, Colorado, who said Tuesday that President Donald Trump may be improperly invoking the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to facilitate the deportation of illegal aliens.

‘The proclamation makes no finding that satisfies these definitional demands. Thus, to the extent the proclamation relies on the act’s ‘invasion’ and ‘incursion’ provisions to justify its removal powers, it does so improperly.’

The lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union argued that those tagged for removal from the U.S. needed to be given the opportunity to fight the deportation proceedings in court.

Sweeney prohibited the government from deporting the two Venezuelan plaintiffs in the case, as well as 100 others detained at a facility in Aurora that would be sent to a maximum-security prison in El Salvador for terrorists. She also ordered the administration to give detainees at least 21 days of notice.

Both of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit deny that they are members of Tren de Aragua, a vicious gang that Trump labeled as a terrorist group in order to invoke the 1798 law.

Sweeney opined that the ACLU’s legal challenge to the removals under the Alien Enemies Act would likely be successful based on other successful lawsuits against the Trump administration.

She also found the wartime declaration by the president against an “invasion” from Tren de Aragua to be dubious in nature.

“These words, fundamentally, demand military and wartime action,” Sweeney ruled. “The proclamation makes no finding that satisfies these definitional demands. Thus, to the extent the proclamation relies on the act’s ‘invasion’ and ‘incursion’ provisions to justify its removal powers, it does so improperly.”

Earlier in April, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Trump could continue deportation proceedings under the 1798 law but also unanimously found that those subject to deportation had a right to defend themselves against the orders.

Vice President JD Vance has argued on social media that due process was too laborious for the government to undertake while millions of illegal aliens still resided in the U.S.

Judge Sweeney was appointed to the court by former President Joe Biden.

Sarah Palin loses defamation lawsuit against New York Times over Gabby Giffords shooting accusation

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin lost a defamation lawsuit against the New York Times after the outlet blamed her for the horrible 2011 shooting targeting a Democratic congresswoman.

Palin mounted the lawsuit against the Times after they published a 2017 editorial that falsely linked a political ad created by her PAC with several congressional districts under gun crosshairs, with the horrendous mass shooting at a Gabby Giffords public event.

‘Please keep fighting for integrity in media. I’ll keep asking the press to quit making things up.’

The crazed gunman was identified as Jared Lee Loughner, who had been diagnosed with mental illness and had become obsessed with then-congresswoman Giffords long before the political ad was circulated.

The connection was dubious, and the Times was immediately assailed by critics online, many of whom were on the left, before issuing a correction. Palin filed her lawsuit later that month.

The lawsuit was initially tossed out by a Clinton-appointed judge in 2017, but was revived by an appellate court. That same judge then dismissed the lawsuit in 2022 because no jury would find the Times had acted with malice, according to the judge.

An appellate court allowed Palin a third time to take the Times to court, but on Tuesday, a jury agreed that the high standard of malice had not been met.

The jury only deliberated for two hours before delivering the verdict.

Palin asked her supporters to continue fighting in a statement on social media.

“We didn’t prevail in federal court against the New York Times. But please keep fighting for integrity in media. I’ll keep asking the press to quit making things up,” she wrote.

“Meanwhile … I get to go home to the 5 best kids a mom could ever hope for & a quiver full of perfect grandbabies,” she added.

Giffords retired from Congress in 2012 and became a gun control advocate before undergoing years of rehabilitation from the injuries she received. Her husband, Mark Kelly, became a U.S. senator for Arizona.

White House endorses COVID lab leak theory, but will anyone be held accountable?

On April 18, the White House publicly endorsed the COVID lab leak theory. The government’s official COVID website was also redirected to a new page titled “Lab Leak: The True Origins of COVID-19,” which contends that the virus originated in a lab in Wuhan, China, and was leaked by accident.

The revamped site criticizes Anthony Fauci, David Morens, Andrew Cuomo, the WHO, EcoHealth Alliance, and the Biden administration, among others, for actively promoting false information and covering up the truth.

It cites five points to support the lab leak claim:

1. “The virus possesses a biological characteristic that is not found in nature.”

2. “Data shows that all COVID-19 cases stem from a single introduction into humans. This runs contrary to previous pandemics where there were multiple spillover events.”

3. “Wuhan is home to China’s foremost SARS research lab, which has a history of conducting gain-of-function research (gene altering and organism supercharging) at inadequate biosafety levels.”

4. “Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) researchers were sick with COVID-like symptoms in the fall of 2019, months before COVID-19 was discovered at the wet market.”

5. “By nearly all measures of science, if there was evidence of a natural origin it would have already surfaced. But it hasn’t.”

After years of the Biden administration and his loyal media allies promoting a lie, it’s refreshing to see the government proclaim the truth.

But while Glenn Beck sees the website as “an amazing thing,” the information on it isn’t exactly news.

“Most of this stuff we had within six or eight months of the actual outbreak,” he says.

The real question is: “Who’s going to jail over this?”

The other question is: Why doesn’t the legacy media seem interested in correcting the narrative?

“Millions of people died here. You’d think that it would be something [the media] would focus on and draw a lot of attention to and continue to kind of beat the drum until someone was held responsible, and they don’t seem to have any interest in that,” says co-host Stu Burguiere, noting that most of these outlets “have run an op-ed” about the lab leak theory and called it good.

“If we make a mistake, we correct it because it drives us crazy that we made the mistake, and I don’t want anybody to believe that I’m standing behind something that is wrong and a lie,” says Glenn.

The legacy media clearly doesn’t have the same convictions.

“They knowingly lied” about COVID, Joe Biden’s cognitive state, and Russiagate, and yet, “There’s no consequence.”

“They’re not going to lose any advertisers. The New York Times hasn’t lost any real money because of this. Their people just continue to watch,” says Glenn.

Harvard University lawsuit claims Trump violated free speech rights with billion-dollar funding cuts

Harvard University announced a lawsuit against the actions of the Trump administration after billions of dollars’ worth of federal funding to the university was cut.

The administration accused Harvard officials of not doing enough to protect their Jewish students in light of pro-Hamas protests that often resulted in threats, intimidation, and sometimes even violence. The university argued that the cut of $2.2 billion in federal funds amounted to a violation of the First Amendment.

‘Taxpayer funds are a privilege, and Harvard fails to meet the basic conditions required to access that privilege.’

A letter from Harvard University President Alan Garber denied the allegations but admitted that the university had room for improvement.

“The government has cited the university’s response to anti-Semitism as a justification for its unlawful action. As a Jew and as an American, I know very well that there are valid concerns about rising anti-Semitism,” wrote Garber. “To address it effectively requires understanding, intention, and vigilance. Harvard takes that work seriously. We will continue to fight hate with the urgency it demands as we fully comply with our obligations under the law. That is not only our legal responsibility. It is our moral imperative.”

The lawsuit said that the actions of the administration threatened Harvard’s independence while putting at risk “critical lifesaving and pathbreaking research” at the campus.

The administration had issued a list of demands to the university, and when they refused to comply, the Joint Task Force to Combat Anti-Semitism pulled billions in multiyear grants.

“The gravy train of federal assistance to institutions like Harvard, which enrich their grossly overpaid bureaucrats with tax dollars from struggling American families is coming to an end,” read a statement from Harrison Fields, a spokersperson for the White House. “Taxpayer funds are a privilege, and Harvard fails to meet the basic conditions required to access that privilege.”

The university argues in the lawsuit that there’s no connection between fighting anti-Semitism and cutting funding to the university.

“The government has not — and cannot — identify any rational connection between anti-Semitism concerns and the medical, scientific, technological, and other research it has frozen that aims to save American lives, foster American success, preserve American security, and maintain America’s position as a global leader in innovation,” the lawsuit states.

President Donald Trump has also threatened to strip the university’s tax-exempt status.

Rubio to torch 132 State Department offices in historic bloat-slashing overhaul

The Department of State revealed on Tuesday the Trump administration’s plans to slash the agency’s bloat.

Internal documents obtained by the Free Press revealed that the State Department will close 132 agency offices — a 17% reduction. The office terminations also reportedly involve eliminating 700 positions, including civil service and foreign service employees.

‘In its current form, the department is bloated, bureaucratic, and unable to perform its essential diplomatic mission in this new era of great power competition.’

The news outlet reported that the offices earmarked for closure include those dedicated to advancing human rights, democracy overseas, and thwarting extremism and war crimes.

The State Departmen’s new shake-up will consolidate 137 offices by transferring them to other parts of the agency.

The plans consider terminating the agency’s Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations. Rachel Cauley, a White House budget office spokesperson, told the Free Press that “nobody is really sure what” the office does.

“When I ask them, they seem to not really be sure what they’re supposed to be doing. It’s an office that was created several years ago to look at Afghanistan [issues] and to avoid conflict areas. But we already have other offices within the department that do that,” Cauley said.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio is reportedly coordinating with the Department of Government Efficiency to restructure the federal agency.

— (@)

A senior State Department official told the Free Press that the agency’s undersecretaries have also been instructed to present plans to reduce their staff by 15%. While it is unclear how many staffers will be impacted by the directive, the outlet noted that six of the offices employ thousands of individuals.

A second senior State Department official told the news outlet that the cuts will not require Congress’ approval. The source claimed that by July 1, the U.S. Agency for International Development would “cease[] to exist.”

In addition to eliminating and consolidating hundreds of offices, the State Department is opening a post, the Bureau of Emerging Threats, dedicated to monitoring cyber threats, the second official told the Free Press.

“We’re trying to streamline the organization, to centralize functions that should be centralized, and to focus on the big things that support our America First diplomacy out in the field,” the official said.

Rubio told the Free Press, “In its current form, the department is bloated, bureaucratic, and unable to perform its essential diplomatic mission in this new era of great power competition.”

“That is why today I am announcing a comprehensive reorganization plan that will bring the department into the 21st century,” he added.

“This approach will empower the department from the ground up, from the bureaus to the embassies,” Rubio continued. “Region-specific functions will be consolidated to increase functionality, redundant offices will be removed, and non-statutory programs that are misaligned with America’s core national interests will cease to exist.”

Mike Pompeo, the former secretary of state under President Donald Trump’s first administration, told the news outlet that he supports overhauling the agency.

“The State Department is desperately in need of significant reorganization, and there’s much efficiency that can be gained there,” Pompeo said.

Trump as ‘deporter in chief’? The real numbers might shock you

Former MSNBC host Chris Matthews, in an interview with CNN’s Jim Acosta, compared Trump’s immigration policies to Adolf Hitler’s Holocaust. He claimed that Hitler didn’t bother with German law — he just hauled people off to death camps in Poland and Hungary. Apparently, that’s what Trump is doing now by deporting MS-13 gang members to El Salvador.

Symone Sanders took it a step further. The MSNBC host suggested that deporting gang-affiliated noncitizens is simply the first step toward deporting black Americans. I’ll wait while you try to do that math.

The debate is about control — weaponizing the courts, twisting language, and using moral panic to silence dissent.

Media mouthpieces like Sanders and Matthews are just the latest examples of the left’s Pavlovian tribalism when it comes to Trump and immigration. Just say the word “Trump,” and people froth at the mouth before they even hear the sentence. While the media cries “Hitler,” the numbers say otherwise. And numbers don’t lie — the narrative does.

Numbers don’t lie

The real “deporter in chief” isn’t Trump. It was President Bill Clinton, who sent back 12.3 million people during his presidency — 11.4 million returns and nearly 900,000 formal removals. President George W. Bush, likewise, presided over 10.3 million deportations — 8.3 million returns and two million removals. Even President Barack Obama, the progressive darling, oversaw 5.5 million deportations, including more than three million formal removals.

So how does Donald Trump stack up? Between 2017 and 2021, Trump deported somewhere between 1.5 million and two million people — dramatically fewer than Obama, Bush, or Clinton. In his current term so far, Trump has deported between 100,000 and 138,000 people. Yes, that’s assertive for a first term — but it’s still fewer than Biden was deporting toward the end of his presidency.

The numbers simply don’t support the hysteria.

Who’s the “dictator” here? Trump is deporting fewer people, with more legal oversight, and still being compared to history’s most reviled tyrant. Apparently, sending MS-13 gang members — violent criminals — back to their country of origin is now equivalent to genocide.

It’s not about immigration

This debate stopped being about immigration a long time ago. It’s now about control — about weaponizing the courts, twisting language, and using moral panic to silence dissent. It’s about turning Donald Trump into the villain of every story, facts be damned.

If the numbers mattered, we’d be having a very different national conversation. We’d be asking why Bill Clinton deported six times as many people as Trump and never got labeled a fascist. We’d be questioning why Barack Obama’s record-setting removals didn’t spark cries of ethnic cleansing. And we’d be wondering why Trump, whose enforcement was relatively modest by comparison, triggered lawsuits, media hysteria, and endless Nazi analogies.

But facts don’t drive this narrative. The villain does. And in this script, Trump plays the villain — even when he does far less than the so-called heroes who came before him.

Young mother dying next to her 5-year-old son texted one word to reveal her killer in final moments, police say

An Alabama mother and her 5-year-old son were killed in a deadly shooting. The woman gave investigators one last hint of the identity of her killer in the final moments of her life, according to police.

Around 5 p.m. on July 13, 2024, police received a 911 call about a car accident in the Echo Highlands neighborhood of Birmingham, Alabama.

“She loved her baby so much. Everything he wanted, he had. Everything he needed, he had.”

Officers with the Birmingham Police Department responded to the scene and discovered a blue Nissan Maxima that had jumped a curb. The sedan was reportedly riddled with bullet holes. There were allegedly three shooting victims found dead inside the vehicle.

Investigators reportedly found 28-year-old Arkia “Kia” Berry in the driver’s seat, her 28-year-old boyfriend, Eric Ashley Jr., in the front passenger seat, and her 5-year-old son, Landyn Brooks, in the back seat on the driver’s side.

Investigators recovered between 20 and 30 shell casings at the crime scene.

During a preliminary hearing on April 17, Birmingham homicide Det. Jarvelius Tolliver testified to a judge that investigators had located evidence found on Berry’s cell phone.

Police went months without arresting a suspect. However, investigators discovered the mother’s final one-word text message that allegedly directed cops to a suspect.

AL.com reported that Berry texted the word “Jaco” to a friend at 5:09 p.m. on the day of the deadly shooting. “Jaco” is the reported nickname of 25-year-old Jacorrian McGregor.

One of the homes in the neighborhood where the shooting took place had a surveillance camera that captured an image of a lime green Kia Soul at 5:07 p.m.

At 5:08 p.m., the blue Nissan Maxima driven by Berry is seen on video.

At 5:09 p.m., Ashley’s phone made a call to McGregor at the exact same time that Berry texted “Jaco” to a friend.

At 5:10 p.m., the Kia Soul was reportedly caught on camera speeding out of the neighborhood.

Tolliver noted the Nissan Maxima was not seen after that.

Police said the Kia Soul seen in the video was stolen.

The owner of the Kia allegedly told police that the car had been stolen five or six days before the shooting, but she never reported it stolen.

Police found the Kia Soul set on fire after the fatal shooting.

Tolliver said that McGregor and Ashley exchanged text messages earlier in the day that indicated they were planning to meet up.

Officer Tolliver noted that most of the text messages on McGregor’s cell phone from the day of the shooting had been deleted.

Tolliver said of McGregor, “But he was having several conversations with people where they were talking about the incident that had taken place, and there were people telling him to lay low, stay out of sight, stay hidden.”

McGregor’s attorney, John Robbins, was asked if there were any witnesses who could connect McGregor to the Kia, and Tolliver replied: “I would say that Miss Berry was a witness. She texted his name right before she died.”

Police Officer Truman Fitzgerald told AL.com last year, “We believe some sort of interaction took place between the occupants of the victims’ vehicle and the suspects’ vehicle.”

Jefferson County District Judge William Bell ruled there was enough probable cause to send the case to the grand jury.

McGregor was ordered to remain in the Jefferson County Jail without bond.

Aniya Berry, Arkia’s cousin, previously told WVTM-TV that the slain mother and son were like “two peas in a pod.”

“She loved her baby so much. Everything he wanted, he had. Everything he needed, he had. She took care of her baby the way she was supposed to,” Aniya said.

Officer Fitzgerald stated at the time of the shooting, “Anytime we have a homicide, it affects us. But when you have a child, it affects you differently. In this case, we have a small, school-aged child that got caught up in the violence that’s taking place in our city. We have to ask the question, ‘When is enough going to be enough?'”

Backlash hits liberal DA for denying criminal charges against worker in Tim Walz admin over vandalism against Teslas

A Minnesota state worker in the Tim Walz administration was given a slap on the wrist by a liberal district attorney after he was accused of causing more than $20,000 in damage to Tesla vehicles, and the sheriff is angry about it.

Dylan Bryan Adams was caught on security video keying six Tesla vehicles while walking his dog near the Target retail store parking lot in Minnesota. Minneapolis police recommended felony charges because of the large amount of damage, but a liberal district attorney declined.

‘Seems like Minnesota’s far-left radicals actually WANT these criminals to continue their dangerous temper tantrums. Ridiculous.’

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara expressed disappointment that Adams was not criminally charged and was allowed the option of entering a diversion program. Adams works at the Minnesota Department of Human Services under Democrat Gov. Tim Walz.

“Any frustration related to the charging decision of the Hennepin County Attorney should be directed solely at her office,” O’Hara said. “Our investigators are always frustrated when the cases they poured their hearts into are declined. In my experience, the victims in these cases often feel the same.”

O’Hara had mocked the suspect’s stupidity in light of the advanced video monitoring system of the Tesla vehicles.

“Frankly, this is pretty stupid. There’s high-quality video in all of these cars. It’s committing a crime with a spotlight on you,” O’Hara said at the time.

“Downtown, certainly, there are a lot of cameras, and the city does have cameras in a lot of the neighborhoods around the city,” he added. “And when we do have problems in areas, oftentimes we deploy mobile trailers with video. These cases in particular have high-quality video right from the vehicle itself.”

A spokesperson for the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office defended the decision.

“This is an approach taken in many property crime cases and helps to ensure the individual keeps their job and can pay restitution, as well as reducing the likelihood of repeat offenses,” said the spokesperson in a statement. “Criminal prosecution remains a possibility should unlawful behavior continue.”

Many were outraged over the charge and accused the district attorney of playing favorites with the suspect because he works for the state.

“Mary Moriarty outrageously decided not to charge a Tim Walz employee who committed felony-level vandalism, on camera, against Teslas in Minneapolis,” said U.S. House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.). “Seems like Minnesota’s far-left radicals actually WANT these criminals to continue their dangerous temper tantrums. Ridiculous.”

“Don’t forget that Tim Walz is rooting against American workers by hoping for Tesla’s collapse. Now, one of his employees caused $20,000 worth of damage trying to destroy a Tesla. Will Walz condemn this attack?” asked former gubernatorial candidate Kendall Qualls.

The Minneapolis Police Department published four of the videos showing Adams vandalizing the vehicles on the department’s YouTube channel.

Florida attorney general announces lawsuit against Snapchat for allegedly empowering child predators

The attorney general of Florida announced a lawsuit against Snapchat after the popular social media platform allegedly failed to follow a state law meant to protect children from online predators.

The law signed by Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis ordered social media companies to restrict access to children under the age of 14, but Snapchat has continued to allow full access to minors, according to the lawsuit.

‘I can’t say enough to parents at home to scare you about the dangers that are out there. There are sick people out there, and they are using these social media applications to find their way into your homes to reach out to your kids.’

“Child predators are using these dangerous devices right here to get to our kids,” said Attorney General James Uthmeier on Tuesday.

The lawsuit says that Snapchat also subjects minor users to “addictive features” that can be destructive.

“I can’t say enough to parents at home to scare you about the dangers that are out there,” he added. “There are sick people out there, and they are using these social media applications to find their way into your homes to reach out to your kids. They’re deceptive, they lure them in, they prey upon them, they try to set up meetings, they ask for photos, and we’re not going to tolerate that.”

He said that other platforms may face similar lawsuits but that Snapchat just “happens to be one of the worst offenders.”

Uthmeier went on to connect unrestricted social media access to other social ills.

“We’re seeing increased mental health issues, increased suicides,” he said. “Kids are reacting and changing in a very dangerous way when they spend hours and hours on these platforms that, again, are designed to be addictive. So we’re going to be monitoring those things as well. We’ve got various consumer protection arguments that we’re raising.”

Singularity: The elites’ dystopian view of human beings

The singularity has been at the tip of many tech-savvy and global-elitist tongues as of late — and its implications are more than a little frightening.

According to Justin Haskins, president of Our Republic and senior fellow at the Heartland Institute, the definition of the singularity is a “hypothetical moment off into the future when technology advances to a point where it just is completely transformative for humanity.”

“Typically, the way it’s talked about is artificial intelligence — or just machines in general — become more intelligent than human beings,” Haskins tells Allie Beth Stuckey of “Relatable.” He goes on to say that some people describe the singularity as the time when AI “has the ability to sort of continue to redesign itself.”

While Haskins notes that some of the consequences of the singularity are positive — like the potential to cure cancer — it also creates all kinds of ethical problems.

“What happens when a lot of employees are no longer needed because HR and loan officers and all these other big gigantic parts of businesses can just be outsourced to an artificial intelligence system?” he asks.

In response, Haskins says, “There’ll be massive disruptions in the job market.”

Stuckey herself is wary of the small issues we have now that might grow into bigger problems.

“People have posted their interactions with different kinds of AI, whether it’s ChatGPT or Grok,” she explains.

She continues, “I’ve seen people post their conversations of saying like, ‘Would you rather’ — asking the AI bot — ‘Would you rather misgender someone, like misgender Bruce Jenner, or kill a thousand people,’ and it will literally try to give some nuanced take about how misgendering is never okay.”

“And I know that we’re talking beyond just these chat bots. We’re talking about something much bigger than that, but if that’s what’s happening on a small scale, we can see a peek into the morality of artificial intelligence,” she adds.

“If all of this is being created and programmed by people with particular values, that are either progressive or just pragmatists, like if they’re just like, ‘Yeah, whatever we can do and whatever makes life easier, whatever makes me richer, we should just do that’ — there will be consequences of it,” she says.

Stuckey also notes that she had recently heard someone of importance discussing the loss of jobs and what people will do as a result, and the answer to that was concerning.

“It was some executive that said, ‘I’m not scared about AI killing 150 million jobs. That’s actually why we are creating these very immersive video games — so that when people lose their jobs, they can just play these video games and they can be satisfied and fulfilled that way,” Stuckey explains.

“That is a very dystopian look at the future,” she continues, adding, “And yet, that tells us the mind of a lot of the people at WEF, a lot of the people at Davos, a lot of the people in Silicon Valley. That’s really how they see human beings.”

“Whether you’re talking about the Great Reset, whether you’re talking about singularity, they don’t see us as people with innate worth; they see us as cogs in a wheel,” she adds.

Does rapid retirement of Shedeur Sanders’ jersey forecast a Deion exit?

#2 has been scratched off the list of available jersey numbers for future Colorado Buffaloes players. Just three months after his college football career ended, Shedeur Sanders, Deion Sanders’ youngest son, had his jersey retired. It now resides in Folsom Field, the Buffaloes’ home stadium.

Most athletes have to wait years for such an honor. Occasionally, the standard is bent for extraordinary players or in cases of tragic death. Neither applies to Shedeur.

Jason Whitlock says the move to retire his jersey screams nepotism and potentially foreshadows Deion’s exit.

Rashaan Salaam, the University of Colorado’s first Heisman trophy winner, had to wait 23 years for his jersey to be retired, says Jason. Compare that to Shedeur, who “after going 13-12, 1-8 against top 25 opponents” gets “spanked in his only bowl game appearance.”

“He’s like the George Floyd of college football, getting statues and tributes and memorials undeserved,” he adds.

In a press conference, Deion was asked about the controversial decision to retire Shedeur’s jersey. Clearly agitated, he snapped, “If his last name wasn’t Sanders, we wouldn’t have this discussion.”

“Yes, because if his last name wasn’t Sanders, his number wouldn’t be retired,” says Jason. “Deion Sanders has turned his son into his sugar baby; he’s made him an idol.”

Sanders went on to argue that waiting years to bestow honor on someone is outdated and that we’re in the “now generation,” where instant gratification is the norm.

“I give you your flowers now; I’m not going to wait 20 years down the street, then to bring you back when you limping and barely walk or some tragedy happens to recognize your greatness and what you contributed to this program,” he said, noting that Shedeur and Travis Hunter, whose jersey was also retired, “deserve what they deserve right now.”

“Everything we get is right now; we want something, we order off Amazon right now. We ain’t in no waiting generation no more. That’s over. That’s a wrap on that,” Deion added.

While he may be right about the nature of our now-obsessed culture, it doesn’t mean we should embrace it as good.

“This is idolatry,” says Jason. “I’m embarrassed for Deion Sanders.”

“Fearless” guest Steve Kim adds, “When Coach Prime said if his name was not Sanders we wouldn’t be talking about it, it’s the most unironic self-own I’ve ever seen. I’m like, ‘Yeah, Coach, we all agree.”’

“I know for a fact that a lot of the great Colorado Buffaloes that have that big shiny 1990 co-national championship ring, who built that program, they’re not happy about this,” he says.

Steve argues that the real reason Shedeur’s jersey was retired is not because we’re in the “now generation” but rather because “at this point, Deion Sanders has the leverage.”

Jason agrees. “This to me screams this is Deion’s final year at Colorado” because if he was planning to stay, he would have waited longer than three months to retire his son’s jersey.

‘Long live’ the Chiefs! President Trump backs Long Island school being forced to change its native American logo and mascot

President Trump publicly directed his secretary of education to intervene with a New York high school that is being forced to change its mascot.

The Massapequa Chiefs of Massapequa High School from Long Island, New York, have been forced to change their mascot name and logo after a judge ruled in March against the school over a statewide mandate from 2023.

According to the New York Post, the New York State Board of Regents declared in 2023 that schools must remove Native American team names and imagery from all New York public schools.

‘What could be wrong with using the name, “Chief”?’

Standing up for the district, Trump took to Truth Social and said the people of Massapequa have been “fighting furiously to keep the Massapequa Chiefs logo on their Teams and School.”

“Forcing them to change the name, after all of these years, is ridiculous and, in actuality, an affront to our great Indian population. The
School Board, and virtually everyone in the area, are demanding the name be kept,” the president continued.

President Trump not only cited NFL team the Kansas City Chiefs as an example as to why the name should remain, but then directed his secretary of education to look into the matter.

“What could be wrong with using the name, ‘Chief’? I don’t see the Kansas City Chiefs changing their name anytime soon! By copy of this TRUTH, I am asking my highly capable Secretary of Education, Linda McMahon, to fight for the people of Massapequa on this very important issue. LONG LIVE THE MASSAPEQUA CHIEFS!”

Nearly five dozen school districts are being forced to change their names amid funding threats from the New York State Board of Regents, including another high school whose mascot is the Wantagh Warriors in Wantagh, New York. Both teams allegedly had no plans to replace their mascot names or imagery in compliance with the mandate, but have until June to implement such changes.

“Changing the name doesn’t have any good effect on our kids. This is their identity, this is who they are — they are Chiefs,” Massapequa School Board President Kerry Wachter claimed. Wachter told the Post that sending a signal to Trump’s Department of Education is the hail Mary as the end of the school year approaches.

“Perhaps the secretary of education or President Trump might feel that they might have some authority here to step in,” Wachter added.

However, in a statement to The Hill, a spokesperson for the New York State Education Department said the school mascots were disrespectful.

“Disrespecting entire groups of people is wrong in any context, but especially in our schools, where all students should feel welcome and supported,” NYSED communications director JP O’Hare said. “[The Regents] were compelled to act because certain Native American names and images have been shown to perpetuate negative stereotypes that are demonstrably harmful to children.”

The spokesperson added that the regulations specifically permit the continued use of Native American names and mascots if they are approved by “local tribal leaders.”

Trump’s DOJ ‘devastates’ Tren de Aragua empire with first RICO charges against 27 gang-linked thugs

President Donald Trump’s Department of Justice announced Monday that it filed its first RICO charges against 27 individuals linked to the Venezuela-based foreign terrorist organization Tren de Aragua.

The dangerous group, whose members flooded into the country under the Biden administration’s open-border chaos, has been tied to criminal activity in New York City, apartment takeovers in Colorado, and violent offenses in several other states.

‘This isn’t just street crime — it’s organized racketeering, and this gang has shown zero regard for the safety of New Yorkers.’

Six confirmed TDA members were charged as part of the first superseding indictment, the DOJ said Monday. The second superseding indictment charged 19 former TDA members who formed a splinter faction, “Anti-Tren,” and two individuals described as “associates” of the offshoot group.

“Of the 27 defendants, 21 are in federal custody, including 16 who were already in federal criminal, immigration, or state custody and five who were arrested last night and today in operations in New York and other jurisdictions,” the DOJ stated.

The individuals were accused of “racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking conspiracy, drug trafficking conspiracy, robbery, and firearms offenses.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi stated that the indictments and arrests would “devastate TDA’s infrastructure as we work to completely dismantle and purge this organization from our country.”

“As alleged, Tren de Aragua is not just a street gang – it is a highly structured terrorist organization that has destroyed American families with brutal violence, engaged in human trafficking, and spread deadly drugs through our communities,” Bondi said.

Acting U.S. Attorney Matthew Podolsky for the Southern District of New York explained that the individuals were accused of a long list of offenses, including murder and extortion.

Podolsky stated, “Today’s indictments make clear that this office will work tirelessly to keep the law-abiding residents of New York City safe, and hold accountable those who bring violence to our streets.”

New York City Police Department Commissioner Jessica Tisch called TDA “one of the most dangerous gangs in the country.”

“This isn’t just street crime — it’s organized racketeering, and this gang has shown zero regard for the safety of New Yorkers,” Tisch said. “As alleged in the indictment, these defendants wreaked havoc in our communities, trafficking women for sexual exploitation, flooding our streets with drugs, and committing violent crimes with illegal guns.”

Sources told the New York Post that the cases began in October, and arrests of the alleged gang members have continued as recently as Monday.

The DOJ’s recent indictments mark the first time TDA gang members have been charged as associates of a criminal organization since Trump labeled the group as terrorists in a March executive order.

Trump stated in the EO, “I find and declare that TDA is perpetrating, attempting, and threatening an invasion or predatory incursion against the territory of the United States.”

If convicted, some of the suspects face up to five years in prison, while others are looking at life sentences.

David Hogg loses it on Reince Priebus as DNC vice chair defends alleged MS-13 gang member

Democratic National Committee Vice Chair David Hogg went after Reince Priebus, former chief of staff to President Donald Trump, after Priebus indicated on ABC News the recently deported El Salvadoran man Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia is an MS-13 gang member.

Priebus started off by saying if Hogg were a vice chair of the Republican National Committee and spending money to unseat incumbents in safe seats, he would remove Hogg from the position. Priebus did say he agreed with Hogg on the fact that the Democratic Party has been having serious issues in mounting opposition to the Trump administration and is currently leaderless.

‘We are a land of law and order.’

“It doesn’t get any worse than that. You’re defending Harvard. You’re traveling to El Salvador for MS-13 gang members,” Priebus said about the Democrats’ current strategy.

“Let me push back against that. This was not an MS-13 gang member, and you damn well know that. He was not,” Hogg said as he stared intently at Priebus.

“Oh, come on,” Priebus replied as Hogg continued to rant about the issue.

“In America we have due process, and we are a land of law and order. We are a land of law and order. And this administration is repeatedly showing time and time again they do not care about what the Supreme Court says, they do not care about the rule of law, and you cannot defend sending people to another country where they don’t have rights,” Hogg said in a loud voice.

Priebus pointed to recent polling by CNN showing that a majority of Americans favor deporting all illegal immigrants as an indicator of why Hogg and his party are “losing [their] effort.”

While Hogg has been in hot water among Democrats for planning to primary House Democrats in safe districts who are not radical enough for him, his impassioned defense of Abrego Garcia is in line with the party.

Politico reported that Democrats the outlet spoke to said the “real-life implications of Trump’s deportation of the native Salvadoran offer an opening to turn what could be an esoteric argument about democratic rights into a vivid cautionary tale.”

Ex-teacher accused of sex with student — months after her dad was accused of sexually abusing teens on same Christian campus

A former Texas teacher has been accused of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a student — just months after her own father was arrested on the same campus for allegedly sexually abusing minors.

Brooke Martinez, 30, was arrested in Ellis County on April 10 and charged with an improper relationship between educator and student. Martinez posted bail and was released from custody.

The student alleged to have had a one-time sexual encounter with Martinez and that she also sent him nude images of herself, according to court documents.

Martinez had been a teacher at Still Creek Christian Academy in Brazos County.

The school is self-described as “dedicated to advancing a Christ-centered worldview that puts trust in God as the firm foundation for a meaningful and fulfilling life.”

The school works with students from “crisis situations” between grades four through 12.

KBTX-TV reported that Martinez had an improper sexual relationship with an 18-year-old student in 2024.

Texas law prohibits school employees from engaging in “sexual contact, sexual intercourse, or deviate sexual intercourse with a person who is enrolled in a public or private primary or secondary school at which the employee works … regardless of the age of that person.”

A student at the school allegedly informed a school staff member about the illicit relationship with a teacher.

The student alleged to have had a one-time sexual encounter with Martinez and that she also sent him nude images of herself, according to court documents.

The school staff member informed the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office of the allegations.

Investigators interviewed Martinez in April, and she reportedly admitted to the relationship, according to court documents.

Officials with Still Creek Christian Academy said in a statement, “We are heartbroken and disappointed over the allegations of an encounter involving a former teacher. The alleged behavior does not align with the high standards we expect of our teachers, who are tasked with creating a protective, nurturing environment for the students in our charge.”

Immediately after the accusations were revealed, Still Creek Christian Academy filed reports with the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. The school is continuing to assist in the investigation.

Martinez allegedly “separated” from the school earlier this year, according to Still Creek Christian Academy.

KBTX reported that Martinez’s father was arrested in February on child sex crime charges at the same campus where his daughter taught.

KBTX reported that 57-year-old John Edward Martinez was arrested Feb. 7 and charged with three counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact.

While Brooke Martinez was a teacher at Still Creek Christian Academy, her father reportedly worked as a “house parent” on Still Creek Ranch, which is part of the 200-acre campus.

Still Creek Ranch also houses children from “crisis situations” and works to foster “a specific way to restore children, raising adults who have healthy relationships, are self-sufficient, and seek God in all they do.”

Deputies with the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office interviewed Martinez, who allegedly admitted to investigators that he violated several rules at Still Creek Ranch beginning in March 2024. Martinez allegedly acknowledged his behavior was “grooming” and against the rules of his employer but maintained that he did nothing illegal.

However, a teenager under the age of 18 who was in Martinez’s care told police he groped her under her clothes, according to court documents.

A second teen allegedly told investigators that the house parent would pay her to give him massages.

KBTX reported, “Deputies say the teen told them she was scared to say no to Martinez because when she did, he would get mad at her, and she’d start getting in trouble for things Martinez normally allowed.”

Still Creek Ranch said of the accusations, “We were deeply saddened to learn about the alleged behavior involving one of our former house parents. It is our primary responsibility to provide a safe haven for the children in our care. We have zero tolerance for any behavior that violates our child safety policy.”

Still Creek Ranch officials notified law enforcement and child protective services once the child sex abuse allegations surfaced.

Still Creek Ranch terminated John Edward Martinez.

You can watch a local newscast from KBTX regarding the disturbing allegations against the father and daughter here.

‘I don’t need anyone else talking s**t’: NASCAR’s Frankie Muniz says he may be at ‘a new low’ after insane string of bad luck

Actor turned professional driver Frankie Muniz said he did not need anymore trash talk from fans and drivers following a one-in-a-million instance over the weekend.

Muniz finished 23rd at the Black’s Tire 200 on Friday in the NASCAR Craftman’s Truck Series, a result that could have been much worse if Muniz did not push through a remarkably rare showing of bad luck.

At the Rockingham Speedway in North Carolina, Muniz told reporters he felt his truck was “really good” and “really fast” — that was until his power-steering line burst, forcing him to start the second stage with no power steering.

“I don’t know if a rock hit it or if something hit it, you know, it literally burst it. Burst the line,” Muniz told reporters after the race.

Muniz showed off a gigantic blister on his hand caused by the freak incident and said pushing through the race was the hardest thing he had ever done.

“I just lost all power steering, ripped a hole in my hand, just trying to hold on to it,” he said, raising his hand. “But then we started the second stage with it like that, and that was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life.”

The race was separated into two stages, the first with 45 laps, then 90, then finished with 65 laps in the third stage.

‘Maybe it’s you. Like, maybe you’re just not good.’

Muniz explained he did his best to stay out of the lead drivers’ way while still trying to finish the race; he had received criticism the week prior over alleged unpredictability while driving near the back of the pack. Muniz received complaints from drivers Brandon Jones and Ty Majeski, but he said he was more affected by remarks from the fans.

“It’s one of the first times I’ve gotten a ton of s**t — excuse my French — online from the fans … my whole life I’ve also had people talk crap about me online — warranted or not or whatever. I’m used to letting it go. But it does affect you. I’m telling you, it affects me because we haven’t had things go our way,” Muniz said in an interview.

Circling back to Friday, Muniz said he was purposely being more cautious.

“I don’t need anyone else talking s**t about me about being, you know, a moving chicane … so just let them go,” he added.

— (@)

On Monday, Muniz seemed worse for wear and took to his X page to say he felt worse about himself than ever.

“If I’m being 100% honest… Mentally/emotionally I may be at a new low. Just wanted to say it out loud.”

Despite being so hard on himself, the 39-year-old is ranked 24th out of 45 drivers and still has around a dozen races left to prove himself.

“I got bad luck,” Muniz said about the burst line. “My wife doesn’t believe me anymore. You know, I love my wife, and she’s super supportive, but she’s like, ‘Maybe it’s you. Like, maybe you’re just not good.’ I’m like, ‘I can’t help that!'”

16-year-old suspected driver arrested after store worker, 60, run over repeatedly, killed while trying to stop shoplifting

A 16-year-old suspected get-away driver was arrested Friday after a Southern California store worker, 60, was beaten up, run over repeatedly, and killed while trying to stop a robbery earlier this month.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s investigators are trying to identify several other suspects seen in the vehicle during and after the April 9 incident that took the life of Kourosh “Steve” Yaghoubi, who was helping at his brother’s store in South El Monte, KABC-TV reported.

‘I was there at the last minute of his life. I saw his face. I saw his eyes.’

The suspect reportedly asked Yaghoubi for a $10 box of masks and then walked out of the Giant Discount store in the 2000 block of Durfee without paying, the station said.

Yaghoubi chased after the shoplifter, KABC said, after which Yaghoubi was physically attacked in the parking lot.

“Doors open, two other guys exit the car, and one of them punches my brother in the head, he holds his head, and he goes down,” Yaghoubi’s brother Jim told the station.

The three males then got back into the car and ran over Yaghoubi, KABC said — first as they backed out of the parking space and again as they sped off.

“The body under the car was turning, all the way from the front tire to the back tire,” Jim recalled to the station, which said he watched his brother’s life get taken away.

“I don’t know why this happened,” Jim also told KABC, adding that “I was there at the last minute of his life. I saw his face. I saw his eyes.”

Paramedics pronounced Yaghoubi dead at the scene, KTLA-TV reported.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office will determine if charges are filed against the 16-year-old male suspect, whose identity was not released, KABC said.

You can view KABC’s video report here. You can view initial video reports here and here.

Those with information about this incident are asked to contact the LASD’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500, KABC said.

Ex-Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez’s wife convicted for her role in bribery scheme: ‘Partners in crime’

A Manhattan jury convicted Nadine Menendez on federal bribery charges for her central role in the elaborate, years-long bribery scheme that earned her husband, disgraced former Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez (N.J.), an
11-year prison sentence.

After eight hours of deliberation, the federal jury convicted the Democrat’s wife on all 15 counts including bribery, honest services wire fraud, extortion under color of official right, obstruction of justice, and conspiring to make her husband an agent of Egypt.

“Nadine Menendez and Senator Menendez were partners in crime,” Matthew Podolsky, acting U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York,
said in a statement. “Over the span of five years, Nadine Menendez agreed to accept and accepted all sorts of bribes — including gold bars, cash, a Mercedes-Benz convertible, and a no-show job — all in exchange for the senator’s corrupt official acts.”

Mrs. Menendez had wrecked her old Mercedes-Benz sedan fatally running over 49-year-old Richard Koop.

“Together, Nadine Menendez and the senator placed their own interests and greed ahead of the interests of the citizens the senator was elected to serve,” added Podolsky.

After leaving the courthouse Monday, Mrs. Menendez told reporters, “I think this is politically motivated,”
reported the New York Times.

According to her
updated indictment, the bribery scheme spanned several years — from at least 2018 until 2023.

The Democrat and his wife traded his political power and access to sensitive U.S. government information for gifts including cash, gold bars, payments toward a home mortgage, tickets to events, and a Mercedes-Benz. The new car,
a bribe from New Jersey businessman Jose Uribe, came in handy, as Mrs. Menendez had wrecked her old Mercedes-Benz sedan fatally running over 49-year-old Richard Koop in December 2018.

Bob Menendez, who became chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in 2021, reportedly used his political clout to favor the Qatari government and to act as an agent of Egypt, while Mrs. Menendez facilitated the bribes. The Washington Post
indicated that while on the Senate committee, Menendez even committed to help Egyptian officials obtain military aid.

When federal agents raided the couple’s Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, home in June 2022, they found “the fruits” of the bribery scheme, including $150,000 worth of gold bars, over $480,000 in cash hidden throughout the residence, and $70,000 stuffed into Mrs. Menendez’s safe deposit box.

Some of the envelopes containing the cash were traceable by DNA and fingerprints to Fred Daibes, a real estate developer who faced a bank fraud case and sought the Democrat’s help in installing a sympathetic U.S. attorney in New Jersey.

Daibes was
found guilty of bribery, fraud, and obstruction last year with former Sen. Menendez and Wael Hana, the Egyptian-American businessman for whom Menendez pressured a senior U.S. Department of Agriculture official in an effort to protect a halal beef exporting agreement with the Egyptian government.

U.S. District Judge Sidney Stein set a sentencing date of June 12 for Mrs. Menendez — just days after her husband, who resigned in disgrace last August, is scheduled to report to prison,
reported CNN.

Hegseth vows to prosecute Pentagon leakers

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Pentagon staffers “will be prosecuted” if they are found leaking sensitive information within the department.

This push for investigations comes after top Pentagon officials were removed for allegedly leaking information to reporters. One of the officials who was removed, John Ullyot, also penned an op-ed on Sunday depicting behind-the-scenes turmoil within the department. In response, Hegseth said that Ullyot “misrepresented” his leadership and the department in his piece.

‘The leakers know who they are, the truth will be told, and we stand behind that.’

“We’re going to investigate and take it anywhere it leads,” Hegseth said Tuesday.

“It led to unfortunate places for people I have known for a long time,” Hegseth added. “It is not my job to protect them; I protect national security.”

Hegseth also argued that the leakers are working to curb President Donald Trump’s policies and leadership, prompting the investigation and subsequent prosecution of leakers at the Pentagon.

“When evidence is gathered — and this happened quickly — it will be handed over to the DOJ, and the people will be prosecuted,” Hegseth said. “The leakers know who they are, the truth will be told, and we stand behind that.”

Three other officials who were removed for alleged leaks — Dan Caldwell, Colin Carroll, and Darin Selnick — issued a joint statement on Saturday expressing disappointment in the Department of Defense but also maintained their support for Trump and his administration.

“We are incredibly disappointed by the manner in which our service at the Department of Defense ended. Unnamed Pentagon officials have slandered our character with baseless attacks on our way out the door,” the statement reads. “All three of us served our country honorably in uniform — for two of us, this included deployments to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. And, based on our collective service, we understand the importance of information security and worked every day to protect it.”

“At this time, we still have not been told what exactly we were investigated for, if there is still an active investigation, or if there was even a real investigation of ‘leaks’ to begin with,” the statement continued. “While this experience has been unconscionable, we remain supportive of the Trump-Vance Administration’s mission to make the Pentagon great again and achieve peace through strength. We hope in the future to support those efforts in different capacities.”

‘I’m here to do one job for the president and the American people: secure the country, America first, peace through strength. I don’t have time for leakers or hoax media.’

Notably, Caldwell was the senior adviser designated as Hegseth’s point of contact in the now-infamous Signal chat leak. Hegseth has maintained that the Signal chat did not include classified or sensitive information.

“It was the result of an ongoing investigation,” Hegseth said of Caldwell, Carroll, and Selnick’s removal. “We identified sufficient evidence; the evidence will have to keep going. They, or others near them, were party to leaking. I have a statutory responsibility, if I believe that is the case, to ensure they no longer have access, and the investigation commences.”

“If we think you are leaking to the press, that’s a real problem we take seriously at the Pentagon,” Hegseth added. “I’m here to do one job for the president and the American people: secure the country, America first, peace through strength. I don’t have time for leakers or hoax media.”

Dem attorney general targets officer as ‘political sacrifice’ for anti-cop agenda: National Police Association

The National Police Association accused New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez (D) of targeting a Las Cruces police officer and turning him into a “political sacrifice” for the anti-cop movement.

The NPA described Torrez as a “George Soros backed” prosecutor who is criminally charging an officer for conduct that the police department “explicitly authorized.” As a result, the association referred the AG on Wednesday to the Department of Justice, requesting the agency open a federal civil rights probe.

‘If this continues unchecked, the thin blue line will crumble under fear and hesitation.’

On August 2, 2022, Officer Brad Lunsford and his partner responded to a theft in progress at a Las Cruces gas station.

When they arrived at the scene, the officers determined that the suspect in the theft should be detained. However, the suspect allegedly began resisting arrest, resulting in a violent struggle between the three men. The altercation ultimately led to Lunsford discharging his firearm, fatally shooting the suspect.

“The suspect, Presley Eze, violently resisted arrest, knocked Officer Lunsford’s partner to the ground, and seized his department-issued taser. Faced with the threat of serious harm or death to himself and others, Officer Lunsford discharged his firearm to neutralize the danger. Investigations concluded that Lunsford acted appropriately and within department guidelines,” the NPA stated.

Yet, despite the investigations’ findings, Torrez indicted Lunsford for voluntary manslaughter.

Torrez called Lunsford’s actions “an egregious abuse of power” and “yet another example of poor police tactics resulting in an unjustifiable use of force to subdue an individual resisting arrest for the commission of a minor crime.”

Matt Chandler, Lunsford’s attorney, contended that his client’s right to a fair trial was violated after two jurors were improperly replaced with alternates.

“Every citizen is entitled to a fair and impartial jury,” Chandler stated. “In this case, we believe there was a direct violation of that right. Two jurors, who had been vetted and selected by the defense, were suddenly removed and replaced by alternate jurors. That alone is enough to call this verdict into question and demand a new trial.”

In March, the judge admitted there were errors in jury assignment.

“I’m either going to grant the new trial, or I’m going to deny it and it’s going to get appealed,” the judge said. “Those are the options I believe are on the table right now.”

In a Wednesday letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi, the NPA argued that Torrez’s “actions do indeed suggest that the pursuit of Officer Lunsford through the grand jury process satisfied a political ideology masquerading behind the principles of justice.”

The NPA requested that the DOJ investigate whether Torrez committed constitutional violations and civil rights abuses in his pursuit of Lunsford.

“No officer should fear that he or she will be offered up as a political sacrifice or in furtherance of political messaging when he or she has committed no wrong,” the NPA told Bondi. “Likewise, no prosecutor should believe he can target someone with impunity for the sake of burnishing his own credentials or appeasing a crowd.”

Retired Sgt. Betsy Brantner Smith, a spokesperson for the NPA, stated, “This is not justice — it is persecution.”

“Officer Lunsford followed his training, protected his partner, and survived a life-threatening encounter. Now, he faces prison not because he broke the law, but because he wore a badge,” she added.

“This case goes beyond one man,” Smith continued. “It sends a chilling message to every officer in America: Even if you follow department policy, even if you act to save a life, you may be sacrificed to score political points. If this continues unchecked, the thin blue line will crumble under fear and hesitation.”

Torrez’s office and the DOJ did not respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
